The vineyard has grown over the years with a new tasting room having been built including a patio and outdoor seating area. There is a good selection of wine with most having won awards for taste and quality. This is a family run business and one of the family is usually present for any questions. Joining the Wine Club is also an option for receiving a regular selection of wines throughout the year and the potential for discounts on purchases. The pictures that may be attached to this review are many years old from a previous post/review and are of the old building/tasting room. I choose not to remove them for nostalgia purposes. You will be able to see how the vineyard has grown over the years.

Their reds are outstanding and you can't believe this wine is coming from Long Island, you would swear it's coming from Italy. The cheese platter and pizzas and other food choices are delicious, and the entire outdoor setting is beautiful. Sannino Vineyard cheers to a job well done. Definitely one of my favorites and highly recommend to those looking for a great afternoon to hang out with friends and family and enjoy a fabulous Cabernet Sauvignon and all the fun of this vineyard.

Patricia was so sweet to drive us to the wedding so we wouldn't have to walk (as we had taken the bus to town from Queens). She immediately made us feel like family; I felt like I was visiting my mom's home as she was content to sit and chat with us or leave us be while she cooked masterpieces in the kitchen. Patricia shines in the kitchen. Her extensive dining services background was evident from the extremely lavish breakfast she cooked for us, including a blueberry dutch baby, peach crumble, frittata, french bread and bacon. She had fresh fruit available as well along with fresh coffee and juice. I can honestly tell you that this is one of the best breakfasts I've EVER had. Patricia opens up the first floor of her house to all her guests. There are two guest rooms with a shared bathroom, a cozy living room, a bright, window-filled breakfast patio and a large backyard with plenty of comfortable places to read a magazine. The bedrooms are simple and relaxing. We stayed in the room to the right and the bed was so comfortable. The duvet is big and fluffy and there were more pillows than I could count on the bed for extra snuggling. There was a dresser, closet space, a small table, comfy chair and luggage rack for our use. She left chocolate on our pillows when we got back from the wedding which was so sweet, a simple gesture that shows she really goes the extra mile for her guests. Her home is walkable to nearby wineries, coffee shops and the few restaurants in Cutchogue. We walked to the beach (about 30-40 minutes) and then walked to the wineries (about 2 miles to the furthest winery from Patricia's home). The day was warm, so it was perfect for exploring on foot. I was truly sad to say goodbye to Patricia. My husband and I would absolutely make a trip back just to visit with her (and to finally meet her sweet pup, which she will board with her sister, if you'd prefer a dog-free experience). THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, Patricia, for a wonderful first visit to Cutchogue!!!

The owners, Dan and Alane, are gracious and warm, lovely and kind. As NYC transplants who have an appreciation for locals and visitors, they are informed about all things North Fork. They are wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcomed! The rates are competitive, but the stay is even more worthwhile than we had initially imagined. The Guest House is the epitome of a comfortable country home -- a beautiful dream, to say the least. I ran my hands along the different textural walls and refinished drawer chests. With modern yet rustic aesthetics, the house is bright and breezy and clean. Our queen-size bed is a cloud! We slept so well on both nights and woke up to wholesome and delicious country breakfasts each morning. It is the perfect stay for a weekend getaway. If we were to visit the Long Island wine region again, we will definitely return to the Guest House.

The owners built their house as a B&B, so everything was new, yet personal. Each suite has it's own jacuzzi tub and fireplace, and feels private like a hotel, yet warm and inviting like a B&B should be. The Blue Iris is well kept and cared for, and their grounds ads are a nice walking distance to Bedells. The location also allows for an easy night out on the town, or to stay in and enjoy the rocking adirondack chairs around the beautiful fire pit. Lorry's style was top notch - everything was designed and picked out for very specific reasons. Our room was american themed. But The Blue Iris truly shined at breakfast time! We were welcomed with lemon squares, coffee and a raspberry yogurt served on gorgeous china. Goblets of water, and juice felt expensive and hearty. Lorry and Jerry joined our conversation, but were not overbearing. Didn't inject themselves into our time, but their opinions were a welcomed addition to our morning.

We came in from Manhattan searching for a quiet and relaxing get away and that's exactly what we got. Their house is absolutely beautiful and sits on a pristine piece of land, well-lit as you approach, and the gravel driveway reminiscent of an older long island but still very modern. Inside, the house is sublimely decorated with a classical piano selection playing in the background. The Rooms are upstairs, equipped with a fire place (turned on with the flick of a switch), a Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom and a firm queen sized bed. Our room was charmingly decorated with rusted treasure chest keys hanging from the wall and a 1920's Country Wall Phone with a crank handle that actually turns. The rooms are as warm and inviting as they are comfortable and tranquil. The Blue Iris is truly an enchanting get away for anyone seeking to escape the stress and chaos of everyday life. Our host, Lorry, was absolutely delightful and as helpful as could be. As soon as we made our reservation with her, she recommended dinner/spa reservations (A Lure had the best peppercorn Tuna and the Blue Sage Spa had a very relaxing couples massage), and confirmed our reservation for us at A Lure when we arrived (as well as handing us a discount card to a majority of the wineries, restaurants, and spas in the area). Lorry was there for our every need and wasn't even phased when we accidentally broke her wine glasses (which she didn't charge us for)! Breakfast started with fruit cups, coffee, tea, corn bread, and finished with a egg bacon and vegetable souffle which was to die for. When we visited some of the wineries around town and we mentioned to the employees that we were staying at Lorry's they even made a note to tell us how wonderful her breakfasts are. While we visited in February, the Blue Iris is just a small 2 minute drive or 15 minute walk to the water/beach. I'd 100% recommend the Blue Iris to any and everyone and I look forward to staying there again!
