    Salmon plate

Perfect afternoon sipping wine and having a few bites. We were in town for cannon beach and my husband had this place as a post beach stop. They were very accommodating in giving us a taste of exactly what we like, which is mostly deep, full bodied red wines with a splash of dry rose. We liked every wine we tried. Learned today that I like rose more than I thought. Must try the Gemini vineyards rose of Pinot noir. I'm convinced that most red wine drinkers (aka us) would like it. So refreshing and not astringent... the prettiest color too. We also had the Pinot noir in red wine form and it was just delicious. For food we tried the salmon plate and olives. Enjoyed both. Our dog very much appreciated the salmon scraps :) Great, sunny afternoon on the patio which was much needed after a few chilly days

Wine list and Oregon wine flight

Very cute and comfortable atmosphere; very friendly service. This is a great place to come and relax! We ordered a flight of Oregon wines to sample: four wines, good pours, immediate delivery. I had to ask for water but it came quickly. Room for improvement: We ordered a cheese plate that never came but were not charged for it. This place is super new, so I imagine it just got lost in the shuffle.

My favorite new spot in Seaside! Great selections of wine, great cheese plates and other small plates bites, and welcoming ambiance!! Be ready to be welcomed by one the owners personally and enjoy some of your favorite wines as well as be introduced to something new fun wines to entice your palate!!

The best place in town, no joke. Classes, wine, great vibe, stays open later than almost anywhere else. Delicious adult lunchables (jk it's cheese and meat boards) and wines from around the world. Everything tastes great but nothing beats the vibe tbh. Could hang all day.

Great selection of wine and snacks. Excellent customer service. The outdoor patio is amazing and indoors is cute and cozy. We will definitely be back!

Great place to escape the hustle and bustle of downtown Seaside. We were looking for some light bites and a little relaxing with a glass of wine and found it. We had the smoked salmon platter and the cheese platter with some warm bread. All of it was really yummy. The woman who served us was really friendly also....had a great time.

Beautiful, relaxing place with the perfect atmosphere & music to forget it all for just a little while, read, & enjoy a tasty bottle of wine. Already looking forward to my next visit!

We were seated at a window table, which was great. We ordered a couple drinks and a couple appetizers. The crab dip and calamari were amazing. Probably the best crab dip I've ever had. For main courses, I ordered the seared scallops and added prawns to the dish as well as a side of their chowder. So good. Melt in your mouth scallops. The chowder was some of the best I've had. My wife ordered pasta Alfredo with shrimp. She said it was amazing as well. And my daughter ordered the Boullabaisse. I've never heard of it but it's a seafood bowl that is delicious and has many seafoods inside.. almost like a soup. She loved it. Dessert was a chocolate torte and a cheesecake slice. Again, amazing. This is a must go to restaurant if you want upscale in Astoria, Oregon. It is well worth the price. And you cannot beat the atmosphere and service. It is exceptional.

We were surprised that we couldn't find more seafood restaurants for being on the coast.

I would say try the local beers on tap but I'd be lying again (they have 5+ on rotation, maybe all the time idk but tonight they have 5 and the ones I had were fantastic and tried a couple more tasters). If you're going to stay by the water you should come here for two reasons..... 1 )the atmosphere is cool and relaxing with great music from the 70s - early 2000s, and an amazing patio (I came in a Sunday night and it was "slow" [what I expected from a Sunday night]) 2) the bartender is awesome. Not sure what nights he works tho. His name is Pain I think. Without a single clue what to do in Astoria (first time visitors), we parked for $10 in the Port of Astoria lot on the west side of town. It was a warm day, and we were hungry, so we took to Marine Drive to look for breakfast and this was the first place we saw. It says they serve it all day. I don't think they have their own lot but street parking doesn't seem to be a premium here. Later on, we discovered that this place also made the vet staff's recommended list which was a happy coincidence. It says on the door that they don't have public restrooms, which they don't, but they do have a men's and women's restroom for customers. Nice ambiance with the nautical theme and some slot machines (is gambling legal in Astoria?). I particularly liked the piece they took from a real ship called Raven and perched a fake raven on it on the wall. Makes the little goth in my heart happy. You order at the bar and the lady who took it wasn't the friendliest. P told me in retrospect that service was slow and she had a bit of an attitude when I asked him whether this place warranted a 4 or 5. I guess she did, but all I noticed was how good the food was! The workers breakfast for $14 is outstanding! The sausage patty is luscious with a nice bite of heat. They make your eggs perfectly and they cook their potatoes skin on in a skillet that leaves the edges with a nice crisp flavorful crust. You need the toast (we both ordered dry wheat) to mop up the egg and eat with the sausage to fill you up. Honestly, haven't had a breakfast where every single element of it was all of great quality. Plus, it's an almost perfect portion of food. I know I want to go back if I can just convince P to ignore the attitude. Another cool local hangout. There was a jolly bunch of older men drinking, laughing and chatting that provided an awesome soundtrack to our visit.

It's great to go in the late afternoon or early evening during "golden hour" and sit outside when the weather is nice. The garden doesn't have a view, but it's a nice garden that lets you breathe in the ocean air. The owner is super friendly and helpful, and they stock mostly Oregon and Washington wine, so you get a good Pacific Northwest taste. I had two different glasses, and they were both good and easy to drink. I also got some snacks. The snacks menu is pretty basic and not that extensive, but it's presented in a charming and quaint way. Very homey but sophisticated at the same time. The wine selection was incredible, the small bites were to die for, the space was gorgeous, and the company was the cherry on top! The coastal ambiance, cozy low lighting in the evenings, and music playlist will make you never want to leave. We shut this place down, laughed with locals, and went home with full bellies and fond memories. After a few months of reminiscing, my boyfriend and I finally took another trip back this August. Without skipping a beat, Megan welcomed us back and remembered details about us like we were lifelong friends. Her knack for hospitality is what makes Daughters truly stand out! As if the friendly greeting wasn't enough, we were also met with a delicious new menu and got to enjoy the dog-friendly patio. I, a notorious red-wine lover, opted for some fresh and fruity options that pleasantly surprised me. The watermelon spritz had hints of sea salt and paired beautifully with the food we ordered. I'm kicking myself for forgetting the name of the dish, but essentially, it was fresh bread, silky cheese, juicy peaches and sea salt all thrown together to make the perfect sweet/salty/savory flavor combination. As always, another 10/10 for Daughters. Near the end of our visit, we finished our last glasses outside with the pups who were spoiled with treats and bowls of fresh water before walking back down to the beach nearby. Daughters is a true gem and so are the employees. No trip to the coast is complete without popping in for a glass of wine and a friendly smile. I'm already planning my next trip back for September!
