Super friendly staff and great product selection. If Seaside had a "Cheers Bar" this would be it.

#THANKYOUTHURSDAY On the way home from our Cannon Beach overnight trip last weekend, we decided to swing through the Seaside Outlets. I mean, what kind of Washingtonian are you if you don't stop at at least ONE outlet mall? No tax, people... We mainly came to the outlets for Nike, Bath & Body Works, and Carter's. Being wine & beer lovers though, the name of this spot intrigued us. We were pleased to not find anybody else in the store except for the older gentleman working. The store is laid out nicely and is spacious. They've definitely got more wine than they do beer, but they've got a lot of both. The wine selection is phenomenal. So much! They've got wines from Oregon, California, and Washington. So many different kinds. I had a blast looking over all the different bottles and making my selections. My husband was also really happy with the beer offerings here. If you want to enjoy something in the store, you're able to do so. They have both wine & beer on tap available for consumption in the store. I didn't get the gentleman's name who was working, but he was so sweet and so helpful. I was having troubles picking between a few certain wines, and he helped make my decision and it was clear he was super passionate and knowledgeable about the products. Going further on that, he noticed my husband's beer selections and suggested a handful of other beers for him based off of the flavors he seemed to like - aka, we bought more beer than my husband intended ;) Even after grabbing two bottles of wine, and quiiite a bit of beer, after discount we only spent $60! There was a discount for a certain amount of cans (15% off for 8 I believe) and on the wines I snagged apparently too, which saved us $12. Highly recommend stopping by The Wine & Beer Haus if wine and beer is your jam. Outside of the wine & beer we got, the service was spectacular and I can only hope all the employees who work here are like the older gentleman who helped us out the day we were in. NOT A GOOD PLACE FOR A FIRST DATE. If you do that kind of thing in Seaside. The Wine and Beer Haus is bringing back the "drink in your neighbor's garage" aesthetic. If it ever left. I'm updating my three star review to another three star review after visiting twice more. The tap and bottle selection is awesome, just not a good place to hang out. The background music is louder than before, but it's still awkwardly quiet. The lady working last time is also much more pleasant than the last dude. The beer board is super difficult to see because of its positioning and the hanging lights in front of it. What can improve the vibe by 100 in this place is upping their game in the decor and lighting department. You can see that they have beautiful track lighting installed on the ceiling but they choose not to use it! Instead, they use a mass of hideous florescent shop lights. Also...the furniture. Good lord. A couple of grossly dirty plastic folding banquet tables adorned with folding chairs. We agreed that they could probably put a "donations for new furniture" box on their counter and people would contribute- that is...if it's a money issue. It could just be that someone is literally, actively willing it to be the most awkward beer bar of all time. Oh and the bathroom is always out of service. Cool. read more

Charming owners and a great selection of wine and beer from inexpensive to over 115 a bottle. Something for everyone. Also great that you can buy anything and drink it there, a lot cheaper than a sit down restaurant. They also have open bottles of wine you can buy by the glass and the prices are very reasonable. Great place to stop for a drink or just take a break if you are at the outlet mall and want to get away from the shopping. read more

My wife and I visited Seaside and were shopping in the outlet shops and stumbled upon this store. The prices were great and the bottle of Port that I purchased was incredible! My husband and I stopped in to browse since we were walking around the outlet mall. We were promptly greeted and began perusing the aisles. The wine was super pricey - I was surprised by some of the prices as I was looking to try a local winery since we were visiting from Washington. My husband thought the beer selection was very good, though a little on the pricey side as well. We did find a few things to purchase, though. During checkout, the gal working discovered we weren't from the area and suggested doing the Oregon North Coast Craft Beer Trail. Visit 9 of 11 local spots, get a stamp at each one, and you get a pint glass from the Chamber of Commerce. It was a great way to help us explore the area and try new places. If it weren't for the service at The Wine Haus, we wouldn't even have known the trail existed! read more

We had a pretty similar experience to Daniella D.(weren't greeted even though neutral eye contact was made, weren't spoken to, etc), though as we were leaving, the owner walked up to us to show us a box of wine that was a good deal. It was a slow Monday and the owner seemed more content on talking about the wonders of living in Gearhart with a group of gacked out locals at the bar. Sad, as we were ready to make a few solid purchases. Great selection of brews, but pricey. Wine prices were average to moderate with a decent selection. I suppose if one was already here and too lazy to go elsewhere, this would be a OK place to pick something up. We'll let the tourists keep him afloat (and the local yokel drunks). Remember....this is the town that has an eatery advertises a burger and a well drink as a special on the marquee....I am sure the canoe ride and banjo concert is wonderful as well. read more

My better half and I stopped in at The Wine Haus on our trip to Cannon Beach. We thought their selection of beer was pretty good and picked up an assortment to taste during our stay. The guy helping us was very friendly and definitely knew his beer! We will most certainly be stopping by The Wine Haus on our next venture down the Oregon Coast. read more

Really surprised to stumble on a place of this caliber on the Oregon coast in the factory outlet mall. The owner was inviting and offered plenty of sampling. Great selection of bottled beers that they allow you to open on premises. Never found a place that does this. $2.50 for a high end can pour?! Prices were very reasonable for high-end beer. Went in based on Yelp review and did not disappoint. Served us free wine tasting right off the bat. Upon hearing us looking for local OR Pinot, gave us in depth recommendation. Then found that we were having the wine right away on the beach, changed the recommendation based on our situation to a barely $20 USD bottle. (No hard sell or up sell, simple honest recommendation based on our need, even after I represented that $$ is not an issue). To top it off, gave us free glassware to take to the beach and insisted that we don't have to bring them back (although we would definitely). This was once a haunt of mine when I was a beach dweller. So I was excited to check back in and see what their new location had to offer. It's still in the Seaside Outlet mall, but in a bigger and better space. The owner Jeff has always been incredibly nice and hospitable. Back in the day (like 8 years ago) I was a member of their foam club, and had a running list of all the beers I had purchased. To my surprise, he handed me my list so I could tick off the newbies. I like that attention to detail and homage to customers old and new. Every time we're in the area, the Wine Haus is a must-stop. Their selection is solid, they have a small, but mighty tap list, and a good selection of wines. We were able to sit back, chat, hang with our superspawn and relive the days of old. read more

I was in early on a Monday - Could not get the guy working to acknowledge us even though there were a total of 3 people in the store. I left, but really wanted to try the Stone beer they had on tap, so I returned after shopping for a while. We were met with the same treatment even with only one other person in the store. The place might be ok, Prices looked good to average, but the guy working the early shift on 10/12/2015 doesn't do the store any favors. I won't bother stopping in again. read more

Heres the scene: We enter store. Storekeeper behind tasting bar talking local stuff with three other people drinking wine. No "hello" or acknowledgement of our presence . After more than five min of us looking at beers & trying to figure out how they are organized still not even a "can I help you find anything" from the storekeeper. Cut to husband and I talking to ourselves about how we can't believe this is happening & don't want to spend our $ here. Turn to leave and not a " thank you for stopping by" or " goodbye" from storekeeper. I didn't think that a wine / beer store that offered tastings ran as a guys little home bar with his pals sitting around b.s. ing at it. Beyond the rude anti-service I noticed that the beers are very overpriced. They sell the beers by the bottle so you can mix & match but mark up the bottles considerably. For instance it would've been 13.50 for a 6 pack of a local beer that I saw at the market for 8.50 a 6-pack. Do yourself a favor & don't bother going in here. read more

I only stopped in to get my northern coast ale trail card punched, but the man who greeted us was really nice and informed us that that is where ale north coast ale trail started. We browsed for a bit and noticed a nice selection of wines and beer. When I'm back in the area and need some alcohol, I'll stop in here for sure. read more

We first were introduced to this company at a wine education class at the Seaside Wyndam. They wine was excellent and we learned a lot. We decided to visit the store the following day and tasted their beer. We discovered sour beer! The service was excellent and the beer was very good. For a small town the size of Seaside, I am very grateful for The Wine Haus. While I do appreciate wine, most of my purchases are for beer so that is what i'll base my review upon. Selection, in a word, is excellent. Sure beats having to rely upon Safeway or the gas station! Lots of wonderful styles and brewers to choose from; many from the East Coast and even further abroad. Prices are a little higher than the grocery store, but they do offer a discount on six packs (mix and match - it's fun!). Owner is very friendly and approachable, as is his staff. I would imagine that if you're feeling neglected or ignored that they're really just trying to let you browse in peace. If you need some advice or help just speak up! You will never be treated rudely, here. For those that might want to sample their beverage on site they do have a bar and several tables for that purpose. Not my thing, but it is nice for those that may appreciate that. The bar also offers a few rotating guest beers, on tap, that are usually outstanding and/or not ones commonly seen. Take home a growler! Bottom line: Again, i'm just grateful that such a small town can have and support a specialty place like the Wine Haus. The rotating guest beer taps are also a nice touch. Went here for the free wine tasting referred from Worldmark and found a fantastic selection of local beer, reasonable growler fills, and great wines from all over. This place is happenin'. With over 300 unique beers and the largest selection anywhere on the coast (or in Portland for that matter), the Wine and Beer Haus is the only place to find that special brew or grape. Friendly staff and a constant group of regulars make this an interesting place to hang out and congregate. I am particular to German Hefeweizen Beers and I was impressed at the variety available. They had 6 different kinds of imported Hefeweizen, which is qutie unusual. In addition, the pricing was reasonable. Significantly cheaper than other beer speciality stores that carry the same beers. Their selection of local brews was good and they had some sour beers, another sign that they are with the times. Their choice of local Oregon wines was good and the prices ok, but not bargains. They had some rare finds such as several bottles from Sinnean, including a 2006 Pinot Noir. It's nice to have a store like this in town. read more

We stumbled across this little place, and not knowing anything about wine the owner was very nice and very helpful in helping us find my mother a wine she might like. Prices for the wine were very reasonable and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes wine or beer. Delightful place! We got a free tasting from the hotel we were at and had a tasting of about 6 budget wines. Most were ones we would consider buying at some point at the store (we did buy one). I feel lucky to have access to a genuine wine shop with a good inventory and reasonable prices. The beer selection is always good and new product comes in regularly. With the move into a larger space there is more to buy and a more attractive setting to enjoy the product. There are other wine shops and there are other places to buy beer but none measure up. The owners and staff know wine and beer. I am a local. I don't get in as often as I used to but do like it. I have seen the owners and staff interact with hundreds of new customers. I am surprised to see the comments on service in the recent reviews. It isn't typical of a store which has had no staff change for many years. read more

Seaside and Astoria have a beer tour and if you stop at 8 of the 10 spots listed you can take the punch card to the Visitors Center and get a commemorative pint glass. The Wine Haus was our last stop (over a few days!). Most unfriendly place I've ever been in. The bartender made certain we felt as unwelcome as possible. They had four beers on tap, my wife and I ordered an IPA, and he mocked our choice in an aside to what must have been some local regulars. Look, the place only had four customers so he wasn't overwhelmed with business. I wouldn't walk back in there if the beer was free. read more
