We had a great experience here. The man behind the bar seemed like he might be the owner. He was efficient, communicative, accommodating and kind! Ohhhh, these guys have upped their game in the last couple of years. We come here every time we're in town. They now have a food menu and MOCKtails! I had the Caprese Panini - with gluten free bread and it was really good! If you order food, they give you a pager for when it's ready. The server brought it out without the pager ever having gone off. When I mentioned that, he said, "I knew it was for you!" Way to go! Top marks! They now have a patio out back (where the food truck used to be parked). There are 2 fans and 1 heater overhead. They put water dishes out for the dogs. However, there are "NO dogs *allowed* on patio furniture - not even on laps, thanks you." I believe this applies to the furniture that has cushions and not the other because the other chairs are metal and have NO padding. They have quit carrying Kombucha (). Waaaaah! This place is super fun! They have rotating beers on tap, a full bar, and drink specials. Minors can come in until 6:00 p.m. and you can also check out beer/cider tap menus daily on their website. The response was I can't let you, I should ran at that point but didn't. Nice taproom with a variety of beer styles on tap. We were thankful they had a Porter and a Scottish Ale, without crazy high ABV, and they were both good. Most of their tables inside are high tops, which we aren't fans of, but there were a couple low tables and they have a patio. Stopped in the North Jetty to pick up some paninis Friday night. (Yeah, they've got a new food menu that you should check out.) While I waited, I had the Hearts & Daggers, a bourbon-barrel Imperial milk stout. WOW! It was great. I even took a can to go! The paninis were excellent. We had the Hawaiian and the Cubano. Will definitely be going back! The potato salad was good as well, but honestly, $2 extra for 2 bites of potato salad is a bit much. Maybe give people the chips that come with the panini AND the condiment-sized potato salad if you're going to charge $2 extra? Again, very pleasant experience. Loved that Imperial stout. read more

Delicious, inventive beers and COVID-friendly setup to boot! We don't feel comfortable dining indoors just yet, but North Jetty has an excellent outdoor seating area that has tables spaced at least six feet apart. Plus they've transitioned their free peanuts to individual, plastic bags that are still free, only safer because they're individually packaged. As far as we could tell, all staff were wearing masks and wiping down tables as soon as parties left. They are also limiting the outdoor area to five people per table and serving growlers/to-go options from an open window. We ordered the Fruit Tsunami IPA, one of their all-beef hot dogs and two other IPAs that I forget the names of. We'll have to come back for their " mermaid tales " series, which rotates every so often. This time, it was a tangerine sour. Sounded really yummy. They also have guest ciders like Reveille Ciderworks in neighboring Astoria. All the beers we had were so good and we appreciated how friendly the staff were too, especially in this moment where everything feels weird. They are also right down the street (4 min walk) from the Shelburne Hotel, where we are staying. However, if you do need/want to park at North Jetty, they have ample spots! Do yourself a favor and go here next time you're in Long Beach! read more

With Whatcom County locked up tight during the spring 2020 covid shutdown, I gotta say that one thing I was REALLY craving was a cold craft beer straight from the tap. Cans, bottles, and even growlers just weren't satisfying this (apparently) deep-seeded need. So when things started opening back up, my daughter and I beelined it an easy 5 hours to Long Beach, which was pretty much the closest county to enter into the next phase of businesses being able to re-open. We booked a socially distant place to stay in a vintage RV, which (lucky me) only happened to be a few blocks from a brewery: North Jetty! After unpacking we quickly (well me quickly, her in tow) beelined it to the brewery and the entire experience was magical. It's hard to describe that feeling of (basically) not having been able to leave the house for anything but absolute essentials, and now here I was sitting in a sweet little craft brewery. Yeah, the tables were spaced super far apart and everyone was wearing a mask and looking nervous. But still...! I enjoyed a tasty glass o' cold, fresh-poured goodness - honestly I can't even remember what it was, but it tasted SO good. I resisted the urge to have another, intending to return the next day but they were closed. (Sad face.) Still, I will always ALWAYS have fond memories of North Jetty and the taste of that first, "legal" post-lockdown beer. It was pure magic. read more

Went to North Jetty for the first time last night and I haven't been this excited about a new small batch brewery in years! If you loved Rogue, Full Sail, Sierra Nevada etc 25-30 years ago when they were tiny little holes in the wall brewing excellent beer, beers that each had their own distinct flavor profile and wasn't trying to do anything experimental and hip then you will love this place. My husband and I shared a four beer 4 oz each flight. We tried the triple, the cream ale, the pale ale and a juicy. They were all delicious. We also each had a couple of small pours of their double IPA. They will pour you anything from a 4 oz up to a pint depending on the beer. They don't have a ton of food I think the gal working there mentioned hotdogs and brats and I saw some bagged chips. We did not eat there so I can't rate the fare. If they had a full menu I would definitely be down to try it! Staff were super friendly and you could tell most the folks coming in and out on a stormy November evening were locals. This place is a nice yet simple establishment. They had a nice selection of tasty beers that I throughly enjoyed. The Scottish Ale was one of my favorites. Not much on the menu for food, but that is not a bad thing as we're here for beer. I enjoyed the hotdogs, and the others seem to enjoy the pretzels they offer. The beer selection was decent, but the food was incredibly limited, consisting of peanuts, pretzels (akin to the kind you can get at 7/11), hot dogs, and chips & salsa. I ordered a stout (good) and pretzel with beer cheese (terrible). Since I can get the beer at other local restaurants and bars, I don't plan to return. read more
