We made our way to Puerto Nuevo for lobster, which absolutely lived up to the hype, and of course stopped at Restaurante Caesar's--the birthplace of the Caesar salad--which was a highlight of the trip. Debbie was our guide and Kurt was our driver. When you get to the winery, Debbie provides you with a drink card. You get six taste tests (1/3rd of a glass) that is checked off by the wine stewards. The whole adventure takes about 4 hours. Overall, it was fun and a great opportunity to try different wines and see the beautiful wineries in temecula. Now, why the 4 star rating?? ~The bus featured a great sound system where we could choose songs from an ipad. But it was unbelievably warm inside. It was a hot day and the AC seemed to not be working, leaving most of us sticky. We were told to open one window at the front and at the end of the bus to let the air flow. After the first stop, most people just opened all the windows to get a breeze. One guy was close to just taking off his shirt. ~We felt that one of our stops at mount Palomar winery was rushed. Our package did include a charcuterie. And we ordered some other appetizers right when we arrived. We ended up having to cancel them since it still wasnt done and we were heading out. This also led to rushing to get the remaining sample tastes. A reciept check showed it was a 30 min visit. ~My other minor disappointment was that our guide stated they could only take photos through their phone and not our own. But Debbie's photos often came out with this unfocused glare. Rather than something crispy clear. So we took group selfies instead. You might want to take a selfie stick.

Bathrooms available before and during the tour. Lots of celebrity memorabilia to entertain you prior to the tour. There is even a tv in the bathroom... We board the super comfy bus that accommodates about 30 stalkers, err, guests. Each seat has a great view during the tour and the bus is high enough to peer over the stone fences that a lot of the house have. I know, invasive but the architecture is mid century amazing. Anne has an incredible data bank of info on all mostly the older Hollywood community. If you are not into star gazing, go for the cool houses/gardens. There has been an enclave of mid century slick remodels in PS and they are featured in the tour. Anne is also a solid sales lady. The date Shake place we stopped at was super low key but amazing. The tour includes your own deliciously prepared date shake made from ice cream and some yummy date I cannot remember the name of. Also, date tasting is included and boy do they make them gooood. So much so, I purchased two packages of shake dates due Anne's description of their medicinal benefits and the grocery store amazing friendly staff. Yes, they turned in the charm. BTW, The dates and I just landed in Portland for my future enjoyment. The topper was watching Anne maneuver the detour signs and traffic caused by the light parade in PS tonight. She really understands how to get out of a pickle. Obviously, highly recommend.
