I had my first cleaning appointment today with the wonderful hygienist, Kelli, and I was truly amazed by the level of care and attention I received. There are several things I would like to highlight because this experience was so different from any dental office I have visited before. Before she began, Kelli offered me protective glasses so the overhead light wouldn't bother my eyes, and she asked me if I have any sensitive areas. When I mentioned that my front teeth are sensitive, she started with those teeth and treated them with extra care and gentleness. Before continuing with the rest of the cleaning, she told me that I could raise my hand at any time if I felt discomfort or pain. Kelli was incredibly thorough and took her time. Beyond the excellent cleaning itself, I appreciated her positive and encouraging approach. Instead of focusing on criticism, she pointed out the healthy aspects of my oral health, such as how good my gums looked. It was refreshing to feel supported rather than judged. Beyond her professionalism, Kelli has such a warm, kind, and charming personality. She asked thoughtful questions, genuinely cared about my comfort, and made me feel completely at ease throughout the entire appointment. I had already had x-rays done at another dental office so they requested I emailed them which I did. When I got there, I was told to get more x-rays done, I let them know that I already had them, and that I was not about to be charged for something that my insurance covered and what I had already had done. I asked her how much it would cost she wasn't sure but she definitely wanted me to spend out-of-pocket money. I asked her to find out, it was revealed that I would've had to pay $150 if I didn't speak up. I let them know that I wasn't going to get anything done until I knew exactly what my insurance was going to cover because I know I still had a cleaning left over that I could still do, she brought in the dentist who was arrogant, look like he was on drugs or steroids, probably both, he was a complete jerk, rude, belittling and was completely nasty. He tried to explain his procedure, but I asked him not to finish his sentence as I walked out of the door. What a waste of time, I took off work to come to this place, please do not go here, save yourself time because they will try to get you for all of your money for sure.

Have had nothing but issues at this clinic, with Dr. Sutherland in particular. His staff for the most part do a good job, but the incompetence is at the doctor level. I've had the misfortune to see a lot of dentists over the years, so have a pretty good radar for who's good and who's not. Here there is this aura of arrogance, which trickles down from Dr. Sutherland. I should've known after just a few minutes in his chair. I had some normal issues with a tooth and old filling and came to see him. He rushed in, didn't ask any questions, didn't even look inside my mouth but only took an X-ray. Later he said that's all he needed to do what he needed to do, which was a crown at more than $2000.00 and a procedure that didn't even include a root canal. After suffering through lingering pain, his lackluster workmanship showed when the crown fell off during a European vacation. I saw a doctor in Italy and he looked at the tooth and crown and immediately said that it was poor workmanship, plain and simple. Once back he refused to see me for almost a week, citing schedule conflict. As I write this I'm waiting for the new crown that's made from 'superior material' to be prepared and attached. This is my 4th trip to the office for the same issue. I'm not asking for him to be a world class dentist, but normally when people lack a skill, they make up for it with good service, communication, accountability, responsibility. But these concepts are foreign to Dr. Sutherland. From start to finish it's been a case of 'I know what I'm doing, so let me do it'. No apologies for work done wrong, no questions or recommendations or dialog, just a one sided, very expensive, highly rude process. Out of all medical professions I feel dentistry is closest to artistry. There needs to be a talent and an eye for the detail and orientation to be perfect. In all the dentists I've had over the years Dr. Sutherland is the least talented, most incompetent dentist I've ever witnessed. Sadly his work will be with me for some years to come, but I'll be sure to never come here again once I leave his chair.

They didn't disclose anything to us about any other teeth. When he started to treat the both teeth, the doctor did more front teeth then was disclosed to him. Dr. Sutherland did his part and handed my husband over to get the impressions from an assistant. I to wait for some time for the assistant to came to do the impression. Waited more when she showed up to tell him they need to do it again. Again he waited. She returned with someone else. The second person also tried unsuccessfully. At that point I started to think that the first assistant was being trained. Before the third try for the impression I started feeling pain so they had given me another local anesthetic injection. Then another person shows up, and introduced herself as Dr. Sutherland ex-wife. Evidently she was able to do the third impression within minutes. He waited for some time before they came back with the temporary crown all in one piece. Turned out they did 4 teeth. The ex-wife attached the temporary crown. At the point I had been in the chair for 5 hours. My wife called the office twice because I was there for long. After sitting the chair that long I injured his back which still hurts today. I have not been able to work due to the pain can hardly walk.
