My wife with Arturo

A definite gem in Venice. I'm not necessarily the first one to voice this fact out, but it is worth stating. The service was bar none the best/ very warm and welcoming plus the fact they are celebrities themselves. The ambiance is true to form with old charms. The food cannot get any more accolades. The Braciola di Arturo definitively is one of a kind in the world only to be experienced here.

Came here as it was featured on the Netflix show "Somebody feeds Phil". It is a small restaurant near St. Marco's square. Very intimate. We went for lunch. They are open for lunch from 12-2:30. My husband tried their famous pork cutlet dish. Braciola ALL Arturo. It is very large, enough for 2 people to share. I ordered the Pappardelle Radicchio. The pasta was delicious! It had a nice flavor and was our servers favorite dish. The pork chop was thin and had a nice evenly breaded crust. The taste is yummy. There is a vinegary taste which is pleasing. We also ordered a side of potatoes which came with fresh rosemary. I had a glass of Vino for $10. It was a nice glass of Merlot. Arturo was there and we were able to get a picture with him. Our server was very friendly. We chatted a bit and he recommended a great gelato spot called "gallonetto". If you are visiting Venice be sure to stop by. Fun fact- Same menu for 50 years!

Yes, large Breaded pork chop(1kg) fried then dip in plain vinegar

Go here only if you are Hollywood personality. Not to value for money patronage or worth the screaming.....in culinary skills food, only if you love vinegar taste on your breaded 1kg pork chop. No recommended on the prepared in advance salad unless you want to pay €20 for 100g. But I give 3stars to the spicy pasta which was very fragrant on using the right pepper. Service is friendly but ..............snobby because they serve the Hollywood stars.

We stopped in at the very end of lunch and had the most amazing food! The steak with green pepper sauce and the pork chop are a must. Best meal we had in Venice by far!! We also had a wonderful experience meeting the team and learning all about their special guests over the years including many Hollywood stars. We felt welcome and truly enjoyed our visit!

You must visit when in Venice!! Food was absolutely mouth-watering . Just love this quaint place in San Marco. Benjamin is very hospitable and will recommend the best dishes but you must order Braciolla all'Arturo! Enjoy!!!

The Braciola all'Arturo. As seen on Somebody Feed Phil. Soo worth the hype! Just get it and you'll leave happy.

Hands down the meal of our Italy trip to Venice, Florence, and Rome. Make sure to make reservations as they are a tiny restaurant and are constantly turning people away. We tried to walk in on our 1st night in Venice, but we're turned away because they were booked solid for the night. Luckily we were able to snag a reservation for 2 days later. The hosts are amazingly friendly talking to us for a good 5 min as we were the 1st table of the night. As other people walked in for dinner they were greeted as old friends as some of them were, while we were told another table was dining there for the 3rd straight night! We shared an order of the bolognese and an order of the star dish of the restaurant, the Braciola all'Arturo. It did not disappoint! The fried pork chop definitely stole the show, and I sat there determined to finish every piece of it. Go here for the best dinner in Venice!

Tagliatelle with radichio.

Following earlier Yelp reviews we found this great small restaurant. First, I rarely give five stars as I reserve that for places that have both outstanding food and great service. We arrived shortly after evening opening and upon stepping in were greeted by Arturo, the owner. As I looked around I could see reserved signs on every table, so prepared myself for disappointment. After we replied in the negative to his question of a reservation, my wife smiled sweetly and he grabbed one of the cards off a table for two and doubled it up on another table and seated us. This was our first night in Venice and so we were prepared for high prices and Arturo did not disappoint. We started off with tagliatelle with radichio, which sounds a strange combination but was great. The pasta was perfect in every way and the sauce light and flavorful, the whole dusted with a little parm. We didn't want to eat heavily since we were fading fast after an overnight over-the-pole flight from Vancouver so we decided to order a single main. After discussing the options after a fashion with Arturo we opted for what was described as a "breaded pork chop finished in vinegar." I expect a pork chop to be a moderate size piece of meat, so we were astounded when the dish arrived on a platter and was the size of a medium pizza! The waiter proceeded to cut it into about ten pieces. There was no sauce but the breading was redolent of vinegar, the pork was amazingly tender and the whole mouthful delicious. Be warned, this is a dish that could easily be shared by four if it was accompanied by something else. We tried hard, but only managed to eat about 2/3s of it. Arturo have us a sly little smile when we commented on the size. We finished off by sharing a panna cotta. It came unadorned but needed no accompaniment. I think access to unpasteurized high-fat content cream must make the difference. It was smooth, silky, and tasted of dairy. Just a touch of sweetness made it a perfect finish to our meal. With wine, water and service our meal was about 120 Euros. Expensive, yup, but worth it! If you can, make a reservation, but parties of two seem to sneak in early as we and another couple did.

We loved this place! It's a bit hard to find but I made sure to change the name and address on here, with exact info. You must get the eggplant appetizer, just do it. We ordered three pasta dishes to come out one at a time to share. We got the radicchio pasta first: it was like eating pasta w spinach, it was good but not amazing. Then we got the spaghetti Bolognese: i thought it was ok the hubs liked it the best, then we got the gorgonzola pasta and that was my fave of all. But I love that we got three and had it served like that. Then we ordered tiramisu and chocolate mousse. I liked the tiramisu, I'm not a hug chocolate fan but if you like mousse you'll like it. This is a small restaurant I think it holds like 9-10 tables, so make a reservation. The other good part that made dinner good was that it's ran by three guys, owner of the past 46 years, another guy/chef who's been there for 40 years and the host who's been with them for I think 18 years. They were all so sweet, nice and welcoming. They told us the whole menu in English, and told us about their story. There was a couple next to us who apparently come to Venice every year for one week and visit them every night and get the same thing daily. Also we found out that for the past 10 years They have been flown to USA by Joel Silver to cook for him and other celebrity friends. This place was the most expensive place we've Been to in Italy. Each pasta dish is €20, appetizers I think we're 15-19€. The main dishes were 30-about 50€. Dessert was about €12avrg. One appetizer, 3 pasta dishes, 2 dessert, one bottle of wine, one bottle of water was €153, so about $173usd. It was worth it. What I learned in Venice: the smaller the restaurant the better.

FANTASTIC & probably the ONLY place in Venice that does not serve fish!!! I'm crying tears of joy lol. I don't like seafood so this is a real gem haha. My bf and I both had variations of the filet and it was awesome. Perfectly cooked and great quality. Ordered the potatoes as a side and they were very good as well - great dipped into the sauces from our filet. Small place near the opera (that's actually how we stumbled upon it. Walking by we looked at the menu and two different parties came out at that time just raving about it so we decided to go for it) Nice, friendly service. Apparently they have a celebrity fan base as well. ONE THING - the address they have listed for this place is incorrect so it is very difficult to find. We had just stumbled upon it but when we tried to go back the next night it was difficult using any type of GPS - we ended up going back to the opera house and retracing our steps to find it. There's also no sign or anything for it so you have to look for the menu with the name on it. It's posted on the window. Also - as I mentioned the filets were perfectly cooked. We both ordered medium rare but as so many places over cook I always expect something a little closer to medium. This was a TRUE medium rare so a few parts for me were a little TOO rare for my taste. Not the fault of the restaurant at all! They gave me exactly what I asked for. I just wanted to make that little note in case you're like me. Friendly and personable staff but don't expect them to remember you next time haha. We came in the next night and it was like we had never been there lol. I'm sure they see a lot of faces every day. I didn't think much of it but my bf thought it very strange that they did not remember us in the slightest since we had talked with the guy for like an hour haha.

A. Mazing. Incredible food, great service, nice hospitality. The stroganoff was like nothing I've ever tasted! Just the right amount of spice. Ask to thumb through their photo album of all the celebrities they've met! Tough to find this hole in the wall, but totally worth every wrong turn!

Lots and lots of restaurants to choose from in Venice but this unassuming restaurant is a true gem…read more It's easy to miss as it's tucked in a corner right by a bridge. Once inside they have a couple tables with small window views of any gondolas passing by. We started off with a plate of lightly fried sardines topped with pickled white onions. The fry on the fish was super light and those vinegar-y onions were the perfect pairing. We cleaned that plate. The lasagna was well balanced with the meat, sauce, cheese. The squid ink pasta was chewy/al dente with a subtle touch of seafood flavors giving the cuttlefish. It was very umami but nothing too overbearing. Delicious! It's a Family business that was been around for many years. Grazie to the friendly staff and chef!

I am so sad to give this restaurant such a poor rating after visiting many times during the last 20…read moreyears and loving it before. The jovial mood with the waiters with big personalities is gone. The menu you can find online is no longer available so you get a very limited menu to choose from--nearly entirely seafood. So if you have anyone in your party that just wants pasta with a red meat sauce or a non seafood lasagne, not available. We were a party of 8. Two people ordered the scallop appetizers. Pretty presentation on shells. 3 tiny scallops in the shells. More like an amuse bouche. Totally disappointing. The linguine with clams as an entree had clams so small you almost needed a magnifying glass to see them. Couldn't taste the clams and annoying to try to eat something so tiny , and just try to eat the pasta with all those tiny shells. The baby shrimp on polenta was actually good. But again the shrimp were like tiny hatchlings tempura battered. Tasted okay except for those that were soggy from the polenta that was very soupy. I wanted the gnocchi with crab which was on the very limited menu but no longer available. The alternative was gnocchi with a sea bass sauce which I chose but didn't like at all. The gnocchi were good but the sauce wasn't at all for me. We had to continue to ask for side dishes for the bread, butter, olive oil, salt and pepper. We will not return. Poor value for your money. Plus there is a cover charge and service included in your bill which was a surprise. Very sad to see our favorite Venetian restaurant decline so much.
