My party of 4 came in right when this place opened for dinner and we were seated right away. This place was not near the main tourist areas so we were expecting authentic Venice cuisine, and we did! We love our seafood so we got all seafood dishes, from appetizers and our main course. All of them were solid but I must say the seafood platter with the different kinds of seafood is a must get even though its the pricey. But it is well worth it for the quality and portion of the Venice's seafood. The squid ink pasta was the dish I was excited for and it did not disappoint. I will come back here if I happen to be at Venice again.

Run, don't walk to this awesome family run restaurant. Make a reservation for us though, it is always jampacked with Italians. the owner is so kind & welcoming and the food is beyond fresh, simple, and just so divinely satisfying. My parents came upon this place for years ago randomly and recommended we come here for our visit and it was the best decision we made! We got the spaghetti with clams and mussels, linguine with zucchini and prawns and mixed grill. Always amazing as well as the octopus carpaccio.

This place is in the middle of Nowhere as Nowhere as Venice gets. That's a good thing cause you won't pay an arm and a leg for quality food. We ordered 3 entree's as follows. Squid ink pasta with shrimp and tomatoes. The pasta itself is infused with the squid ink and it shines through. Its excellent al dente for sure. Shrimp with Zucchini is a subtle taste but no less amazing- you can taste the freshness and the butter. Mixed grilled seafood is good but needed a little more seasoning for me. They were generous with the shell fish portions. Two of which I couldn't identify but gladly ate

Went here for dinner and food was well worth the wait. Note: This restaurant gets pretty busy (for indoor and outdoor seating) during dinner time, so be sure to make a reservation or simply just have some patience while waiting. I only waited for 10 minutes or so, but the service while dining took a bit longer as there were only 3 waiters/waitresses attending all the tables. They were all very friendly though. I had the pasta noodles with shrimp and zucchini (12 euros) as my first course and the grilled sea bass (18 euros) as the second course. They were generous with the amount of shrimp for the pasta and it was absolutely delicious. The pasta was al dente and the dish was well flavored. The grilled sea bass was fresh and I was surprised it was actually a whole fish vs. a fillet. The fish was great (not too mushy and not too tough). It was a little bland, but adding some lemon and salt did the trick! For dessert, I shared a tiramisu (4 euros) and that was super yummy!!! Mascarpone from Italy is so much better than the U.S.! I was impressed especially with the price!!! Overall, I had a great experience and was content with all the food! :)

Cute restaurant kind of off the beaten path in Venice. We tried to go to La Zucca but of course it was fully booked. This place had good reviews and we were lucky enough to nab the last two-top outside (all dining room tables were fully booked). The servers were nice, but a bit slow. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. We enjoyed the octopus carpaccio, squid ink pasta with shrimp, and veal with lemon.

A combination of a thunderstorm and an early dinner meant the place was empty, but Marco and other staff welcomed us warmly all the same. We had the antipasti Parmigiana Di Melanzane (fried eggplant with cheese) and enjoyed the mains Pasta Al Forno (baked pasta with beef and peas), Pasta Con Le Polpette E Salsa Di Pomodoro (spaghetti with meatballs - not pictured), and Turbante Di Pesce Spada "A Beccafico" (baked swordfish). These were also with the Casa Rosso wine and Birra Siciliana beer both blonde and red. All food was superb. The fried eggplant was flavorful and fresh, and the bread was crispy and savory. The baked pasta was rich, the spaghetti and meatballs were nostalgic, and the swordfish was delectable. Safe to say we all cleared our plates easily. We wish nothing but the very best for Marco and his restaurant. This food was some of the best we had on our two week stay throughout Italy. The atmosphere, staff, and of course the amazing food made for a great experience that we would recommend to anyone looking for a reasonably priced homestyle Sicilian meal.

For dinner in peak season, try to make a reservation as the restaurant is very small. We arrived before our reservation time and were seated immediately inside and greeted warmly by the restaurant owner. We ordered a bottle of wine to start (most under 20 Euros for a 75 ML bottle). For appetizers we ordered the cheese with honey for 13 Euros, absolutely amazing! We also combined this with the local olive oil and fresh bread brought to the table to start as well. For our second course we chose two pastas, the Penne Alla Amatriciana (I think it was around 12 Euros), and the Spaghetti Alla Carbonara (I think it was around 12 Euros as well). Both had extremely fresh homemade ingredients and were out of this world and extreme attention to care in the preparation. For our entree we split the breaded pork chop (I think it was around 20 Euros), including a side of potatoes (similar to the steak fries that you would see in the U.S.) The service was absolutely amazing and we loved dining alongside the owner and his family and meeting the cat that also lives at the restaurant and comes by to greet you during the meal as well. It truly was like you were dining at the home of the owner and is a must try if you are in Venice!
