Personally I love this place. I have been here multiple times for pizza and other dishes and was satisfied every single time. I love the interior of the place and the "Italian" vibe. Everyone working here is exceptional and friendly too. The pizza uses a chewy dough that pairs nicely with the sauce and is the perfect canvas for any desired toppings. During a tour of the Hillsborough area, we starting getting hungry around lunchtime, and just happened to come across the little strip mall area where Vinny's is located. We have a Vinny's back home in VA, which we thought was pretty good. Not as big a fan of this one. My wife had the wedding soup and a salad, and I did a chicken florentine calzone. I thought mine was pretty good, but she said the wedding soup was pretty average. But what keeps my rating at 3 stars, was the service....or lack of. Our server just didn't seem interested. Anytime we needed anything, we had to flag her down and ask for it. She did not check on us at any point. Just kind of takes away from the experience when the service is sub par. read more

This used to be our go to pizza place since moving from CT to NC. We moved to Durham and dobt get there often but stopped in and got pizza a few weeks ago and man it was so good. It's really hard to find GOOD pizza in NC. This place is very good. read more

The Italian Wedding soup and Chicken Marsala need a MAJOR re-working. The meatballs had an almost rancid taste and were of poor quality and the broth somehow tasted like canned green beans?! I truly believe it comes from a can. The pasta in the chicken Marsala was too overcooked and mushy, the canned mushrooms felt like a cheap substitute, and the overall flavor tasted more like chicken noodle soup than a strong marsala. We ordered chicken Marsala, salad, and Italian Wedding soup. The Caesar salad was great, but the chicken Marsala wasn't very good. We stopped by on a Friday for a TO GO order. Friday is "pizza night" for us ! Since we are new to the area, we are trying to give all the local pizza places a try. I called the order in and it was ready within 25 min. We got a meat lovers for hubby. It was loaded with meat. Not my jam but he loved it. I tried their specialty "west coast" pizza. It was quite decadent with the amount of bacon on it. Actually a bit too rich for my liking with the ricotta cheese topping. But I was glad to try it. We actually like their "cash" payment preferred. The last time we ate at Vinny's was quite a while ago, as we thought the pastas were pretty mediocre at best. So we thought we'd go back for another try, but this time for a pizza. Pretty much had the same result. Can't remember the last time we had a pizza so lacking in flavor. We've had better pizzas from the freezer section of the grocery store. Ordered a lunch for my office and was disappointed with my entree, I ordered Broccoli Cheddar soup and it was missing the "cheddar", there was nothing but a white soupy mixture with broccoli bits thrown in....gross. I also ordered a Caesar salad with it and so glad that I had more dressing in the office or it would of been an exercise in romaine lettuce ..dry! Last but not least, you provided a slice of bread. The pizza is always extremely greasy, to the point where you don't even want to eat it. You could go through an entire paper towel roll to soak up all the grease. Service is hit or miss but quite frequently miss... Subs are mediocre, but the buffalo chicken sub is the better one of them. The chips that come with it are always more than well done. It is super overpriced for the quality of food. Ambiance is casual. And as everyone has started to do, they are now charging 3.5% on card payments, so bring cash. I met a friend for lunch here and figured it would be purrrfect since we're both pregnant and you can't ever go wrong with various combinations of carbs, meat, and cheese. It was a big salad with lots of toppings (olives, onions, tomatoes, cukes) and a giant slice of semi-greasy NY style pizza with your choice of toppings. YUM. All for under $10 w/ tip. Our server was very attentive and nice and came by to check on us periodically. My second experience here I ordered a Veggie Stromboli for takeout. It was about $10 in itself which is a little pricey for lunch but when I opened the box- HOLY CRAP THE STROMBOLI IS HUGE.
