Iced pistachio latte with dairy free milk
    Anna K.

This cute coffee shop in Yorktown was such a joy to start our day with. They were already so busy by the time we got there that the toffee latte was sold out. The pistachio one was a good back up, but I plan on returning in the hopes of getting a good toffee coffee. Their selection of tin tea were also great, and I bought a Schitt's Creek Harney & Sons one I had never seen before. The service was friendly and speedy. I look forward to going back.

Absolutely a gem in Yorktown! The old building is charming - although small. The servers were friendly and they will deliver your coffee to wherever you choose to sit. We sat outside in the picnic area. Lots of picnic tables and shade from trees. One table covered is available by the building. They have special flavors so I tried the Cookie Butter latte and it was great. They have a wide selection of syrups, milks and pastries. I will return! Bonus - you can walk around a bit and see some sights with your drink !

Curry chickpea wrap. Amazing! I encourage non-vegans to give it a try! It's delicious and light.

I would be remiss if I didn't update my review following my most recent visit. I finally got to try their curry chickpea wrap and I have three words: Worth. The. Wait. Seriously, any misgivings I had from my previous visit were very quickly forgotten as I indulged in what was a PERFECT lunch on a sunny spring afternoon at one of their picnic tables out back. Per usual, my latte was very well made - not too sweet. The service was lovely, as well, earning back the fifth star that I begrudgingly left off of my last review. Overall this place is a gem in Yorktown and a place I will revisit any time I'm back in the area for work.

Amazing Lavender Swiss Chocolate Latte! The baked goods were delicious. Glad to have company in my visit so we could sample each other's selections. We had the Oatmeal Cookie Cream Pie, Apple Pecan Cake, and Pear Butterscotch Muffin. The staff is friendly and deliver orders to the table whether you are dining al fresco by the fire pit (it's February) or in the Colonial dining rooms upstairs. Monaco Bay Coffee Roasters is housed in an 18th c building so the stairwell is very narrow. There is a ramp into the shop but the upstairs is not accessible.

Had a great coffee experience here with a group of friends! Coffee/food: My coffee was delicious! I got an iced chai and highly recommend it! The others in our group enjoyed their drinks and treats. Service: You order at the counter downstairs and then they will bring you your drink outside or upstairs. The gentleman behind the counter the day o visited was very kind. Ambiance: Now this is what puts this place on the map! It's located in a historic house, and is so cute and quaint. Also tons of seating outside in the yard area.

We stopped in for our morning caffeine and stayed for scones and the ambiance. This is a true gem in historic Yorktown. As we left, we loaded up with ground coffee, tea, and sweets for the fam back home.

An absolutely precious coffee shop tucked away in scenic Yorktown. Parking is just a block away, it's located on a no vehicle road, so you will have to take a short walk to get here, but it's worth it. Any place that roasts their own coffee already has bonus points to me. But walking into a historic home, with great staff, that makes amazing coffee, and great food? A home run. We got their cinnamon roll, their breakfast bagel Sammy, a flat white, and an iced lavender latte and everything was so good. There's a ton of outdoor seating, and it's clear that this place is a foundational part of the community. Kids are playing, people are catching up, I absolutely loved my hour spent here relaxing on a Sunday morning.

This place was really a joy! This is another coffee find thanks to the Virginia Cafe Passport and, Yes! They had the perfect latte. Smooth, proper foam to drink ratio, with a touch of pour over finish in the foam. The staff were all friendly and the place was welcoming. The feel of the old building was fun inside and the outdoor space was huge. This will be a must hit every time we're in Yorktown. Really, we will go there just for the bookstore (see other review) and this place.

    So many yummy pastries!

We came here at the recommendation of my nephew. The coffee is amazing. The hot chocolate was great. The breakfast sandwiches were great too. Recommend the rye over the bagel breakfast sandwiches. Each pastry was perfect. Only thing I didn't like was that everything is served in disposable containers - even if you are eating there.

This is a really cute cafe place amongst Yorktown's historic area. I got an iced dirty chai with almond milk and the BLT sandwich on sourdough bread which was good. There's seating outside or upstairs. We went upstairs and it was cute. The servers were really friendly.

We stopped in here for a quick coffee on our drive home. Next time I definitely want to eat because everything looked and sounded delicious. Mobjacks is located in historic Yorktown and in the 18th Century Cole Diggs house....history of the house is on plaques outside. It absolutely did not lose it's charm. When you first walk in you smell the coffee.....it's wonderful. It is a bit cramped inside, it is an 18th century house. They have lots of seating outside and inside they have the cutest seating area upstairs. The walls are sloped and the ceilings low. I loved it. Since it was a quick stop we got our iced lattes, sat in the air conditioning and we were on our way. I definitely want to go back. And yes....the service was friendly and fast.

So, I understand the current economy and how people are short staffed,, but this place was both understaffed AND were sold out of basically everything. PROS: cute place, lots of outdoor seating, coffee was good (if they have it) CONS: we ordered an iced latte and the staff told us at first, it was a 25 minute wait. When I said okay, no problem, he changed his mind, and decided to tell me that it was a 75 minute wait. There were still plenty of tables outside, and no one really inside, so I was a little confused why it would take 75 minutes to make one iced latte. Then I asked for a lemonade, they have three different types, and that was all sold out apparently. By the way, it's only 11 o'clock in the morning. We settled for a regular iced coffee, and he told my husband that they didn't have any more coffee to make two iced coffee's, and they had to give us an Americano. So you're a coffee shop with no coffee and I have to wait for over an hour for one? Hmmmm. Doubt I'd come again, unfortunately.

Situated right under the York River bridge, not far from the Yorktown museum, is the cutest village. I'm sorry, they can't claim it as part of the original Yorktown but it is cute. There is a lovely river walk...hence the name of the restaurant. They have some of the BEST views in the area being right there. We had reservations however it being the busiest day for restaurants, we had to chill our heels for a few moments before being taken back. I was more than ok with this as we ended up getting a window seat (see above for reference). Thank heavens they put the name of the server in the receipt cuz y'all know my Swiss cheese brain. Cara was the wonderful server who took care of us. She was always there ready for me to get my mum good & spoiled. Super friendly and very helpful. The buffet, it was impressive for a buffet and while not a big buffet, it was specialized. First up were 3 different kinds of salads, then a fruit platter, and bagels & cream cheese. They had a raw bar with shrimp & oysters next, then breakfast stuff (eggs, potatoes bacon etc) mac & cheese, garlic mashed taters & then a carving station with turkey, ham & lamb. Finally a small but respectful dessert table. If you couldn't find something to fill you, you weren't looking. The single sour note of the buffet was the salmon and Mac & cheese. I'll know better next time. Overall the River Walk has come back with perfect timing and style. I highly recommend a visit. Parking is a pain but patience will help

When I found out they were having a set menu for Vday I called the week of and we were able to switch our reservations to Friday February 13th. I downloaded the InKiND app as well and they gave me a $50 off discount if you spend minimum $150. The open table app did have a $20 per person fee for reservations and that will be applied to the final bill. Our reservations were at 4pm and we arrived early and the parking area is ample with a parking garage and some street parking. We started walking to the restaurant at about 355pm. This time of the year seems to slower with ot being cold. Once inside we were greeted by the young ladies up front. We were offered a table or booth and we chose a table. We did sit at a table with the view of the water which was nice. Jason our server came over within seconds to pour us water and take our drink orders. We both wanted sweet tea with lemon. Since we knew ahead of time what we were ordering, we gave our appetizers orderes first. We ordered the soup of the day which was the she crab soup. It is highly recommended. We only ordered a cup and not a bowl because we were unsure of how it tasted. The Caesar salad had no anchovie flavor like we are use to and was just medicore. We ordered the meatballs which had lamb and pork in it. They were juicy, tender and just needed a little more seasoning. The Calamari was fried to perfection for me and could've used a pinch of salt. The sweet tea was everything and I would recommend it. For the main entrees, we chose the shrimp and scallop risotto and the beef braised Ragau. There were two scallops and four grilled shrimp and few asparagus with some chopped up bacon. This dish I highly recommend as well. The beef was tender, seasoned and pasta was cooked perfect. Overall, this is a nice and quiet place to dine at anytime. I would recommend and will definitely return again. Jason was on point with his promptness.

I was sitting in the parking lot of a large chain breakfast pulled up Yelp to see what I might be missing. Glad wasn't lazy...15 mins later I was in the parking lot for 185! If you haven't been to 185 on Little Florida Road in Poquoson, you are seriously missing out. This charming, family-owned neighborhood gem is everything a great local restaurant should be and then some. The moment I walked through the door, I felt it. You're not just a customer here; you're a guest. The welcome was immediate and genuine and set the tone for the whole experience before I even sat down. I ordered the brisket sandwich with sweet potato fries, and wow, it delivered. I was surprised the blackberry chipotle sauce worked BERY WELL! The brisket was tender, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Paired with perfectly seasoned sweet potato fries, it was the kind of meal that sticks with you long after you leave. This isn't reheated, thrown-together food, you can taste the love and craft in every bite. It was like Woman Power this morning with all ladies from front to back. Their whole vibe was awesome from the front of the house to the back. I have to give a very special shoutout to my waitress, Tiffany... she was absolutely AWESOME. Attentive, personable, and full of good energy, she made the whole experience even better. The kind of server who makes you feel like you're dining with a friend. Looks like 185 was ranked #87 on Yelp's Top 100 Restaurants in 2023, and after my visit, I completely understand why. The owners obviously had a beautiful vision and it is being executed incredibly...to my benefit today! Five stars, without question. The food was good home cooked meals and came out quickly. I had brisket scramble and it was delicious. It needed the sweet compote to balance the richness. My wife had the biscuits with gravy and eggs were good. There was lots of sausage in the country gravy. The cheese grits were tasty. Overall the food was very good and a solid experience. Since I live with a chef who cooks this quality of food often, I probably wouldn't drive here, however if we were in the area I'd definitely stop here and try other items as well.

I'm not exaggerating. It came out super quick too so they have to be making it ahead and just letting it sit. I had country fried steak, eggs over medium, toast and home fries and a side of bacon. The home fries and steak were lukewarm, the eggs were literally cold like they sat in the refrigerator, the bacon was also damned close to being that cold. The toast was cold as can be, barely toasted, no butter, not cut. I mentioned it to the waitress and she said there is butter on the table. That's it. She really seemed like it was a bother to have to serve customers at all. Maybe I'm just unlucky, but I don't know how this place has any positive reviews at all. I sent my entire meal back but still paid for coffee and the side of bacon (and my sons' meals of waffles and French toast). I didn't want mine remade. Still cost me nearly 50 dollars for this trash, and no offer to make it right other than removing exactly what I sent back. My other and more serious concern is food safety. IF they ARE cooking this ahead and storing it in a way that leaves it cold or room temp, bacteria is a big concern. I'm typing this from the toilet and my stomach is going through it right now. From a few bites of cold food? Maybe.
