    Shrimp tempura lunch box
    Damien J.

Kero Sushi is one place where Sophia and I have been to for many years. Over the last few years, we've eaten lunch after checking out movies. This visit last weekend was no exception and it's been a while since we've eaten here as a matter of fact. Let's see how it all turned out. We were promptly seated upon walking in. It was semi-packed but everyone seemed to be busy. The environment was very welcoming and calm. Always a great feeling from the staff every time we eat here. After a few minutes, we were ready to order. I selected one of their lunch dishes which we get in the afternoon. It was the shrimp tempura lunch box with french fries. It was good for the most part but lacked seasoning. Sophia said the same thing on her order which was the same but with fried rice. Nonetheless, I walked away full. Another nice visit here at one of our favorite spots in the Peninsula. You know we'll be back here again.

Update: This is our third time coming here. My partner absolutely loves the black Jack roll. I really wanted to try the uni but each times they have been out Black Jack roll: it was better last time and this time it felt a bit heavier and not as refreshing 7/10 Lobster roll: it came with two ends of a lobster tail which was fun to eat. Very tasty and filling roll 8/10 Spicy scallop: absolutely buttery and amazing spicy sauce! I will come back just for this 10/10

This was my first time at Kero Sushi. Went for lunch and they have a decent lunch/bento box menu. I decided to get 3 rolls for $12.95: Shrimp Tempura, Sweet Potato, and Philly Roll. It also came with soup or salad. The flavor was tasty. I wasn't a fan of the Philly roll, but the other 2 were really good! 4 STARS! Enough menu options for me to try them again (except the Philly roll).

This place was packed!! And now I know why. I ordered to go and you can tell the food was fresh, made to order and packaged carefully. I got the volcano roll, shumai and shrimp/veggie tempura appetizer. Everything was so good! The wait for my order was longer than expected given how busy they were, but the food was worth it. I will be back!

First time here and it was very yummy! Service was nice and polite as well as prompt! For food we had the following and all was very good: Volcano roll, soup, salad, vegetable tempura and fried rice. The only thing I would not get again was the steak and shrimp hibachi. The steak and shrimp were a little tasteless and overcooked. Also the yum yum sauce was not that great. My husband also had a sake that was good. Can't wait to go back and try some more sushi!

We ordered a sushi boat to try different types. The sushi was okay, but I have had better sushi in the area for a lower price. The appetizer, tempura shrimp, was decent. The ambience is good, and we were seated tucked away in the back. The service is like any other establishment, but not great. Overall, from my experience, there is a better sushi place in the area with better service.

My new favorite sushi spot. I was impressed by all the rolls we ordered, will definitely be back.

Came in for dinner on a Thursday evening. Seated after a few minutes and we took a while looking over the menu, there was a lot to look at. We finally decided on the fried pork dumplings, a volcano roll, and a dancing tuna roll. The dinner came with a salad or soup and I had the salad and was totally unimpressed. Iceberg lettuce with ginger sauce. Anyway, the pork dumplings were very good and the sauce they were served with was delicious. The volcano roll was crunchy and very tasty. The dancing tuna roll was good except for the tuna. It was very mushy and had the consistency of mush. The rest of the roll was great though. Our waitress was nice and very quick to take our order and let us look at the menu. We will try it again.

Keep sushi is delightful and fresh, with very good customer service. The California and shrimp tempura rolls were great and I love that they added eel sauce (I believe) to the top. I enjoyed the flavor way more than I would have guessed.

This is my favorite spot for sushi as of now. The fish is always fresh and they really take care in the way they present it. The sushi boat for two or three is worth it at $49.95 because you're getting a ton of sushi- and it's fresh and good quality fish vs. some of the AYCE places where the quality suffers. The service here is always great, sometimes it can get extremely busy though. The restaurant is decorated nicely, it's been the same for years. If you want some quality fish try Kero!

This is always our favorite place to go for sushi. They are always friendly and super inviting. We love coming here for date nights or with the whole family. Compared to other places their quality is top notch.

For starters we like the sushi appetizer (fresh and yummy), spring rolls, crab rangoons, and gyoza! All hit the spot - flavorful and perfect sized. With the size of the rolls, we normally just get two apps to share and one roll each. As someone who doesn't like a ton of raw fish, I get the Saisaki Special Roll. It has lobster salad, shrimp tempura and avacado. I love the eel and spicy mayo dipping sauce that gives it a great sweet and spicy combo. He gets the Sakura roll and loves it - fresh and unique. For drinks, I love the white sangria - sweet and refreshing.

It tasted very fresh and had a good crunch. The pepper steak was seasoned well very nice portion looked really good. Fried rice tasted really good. No complaints on the fried rice. The General tso chicken was excellent very crunchy and a very nice portion. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Before we moved to Williamsburg, we visited the area for vacations, and Thai Tara is alway the first place we go for dinner and the final meal before leaving. Whether you crave the freshest Sushi/Sashimi or you prefer authentic Thai street food, you will find it here. We have traveled to Bangkok many times, and from first hand experience can say without exaggerating that the Chicken Sate or Fresh Rolls are as authentic as you might find at the street markets in BKK. The Tom Kha and Tom Yum soups are a treat. The extensive selection of warm Thai dishes like Pad Thai and Penang Curry are outstanding. We often include a hand roll or a selection of Sashimi from the Sushi bar in our orders. Never has the sushi bar prepared anything less than perfect. And if you want a real treat, finish your meal with a Mango Sticky Rice. Although small in size, it's surely is a dessert of the gods. An extensive bar is also on hand at Thai Tara for your favorite hand mixed cocktail, umbrella drink or beer, including Thailand's own Singha, a refreshing lager. Plan to arrive early because this cozy (but not small) place gets very busy, especially on weekends. Parking can be tight. But even in the busiest evenings, service is always prompt, attentive, and with a Thai smile.

I ordered the Kake Udon for me and two orders of steamed gyoza for my kiddo. I gotta say, I was surprised when the order arrived. The udon noodles were paper thin compared to what I'm used to. The fried tofu was so hard it was basically inedible, and the broth - well, it had little to no flavor. To top it off, my kiddo took a bite of one dumpling and then spit it out. This child DESTROYS dumplings, so I asked him what happened -- he said "who puts corn and carrots in a gyoza dumpling?!?" and I can't say I disagree with him. Pork and cabbage filling - duh! Overall, totally not our jam and we probably won't revisit it. I guess the reviews are based more on folks who haven't experienced true Japanese cooking? I don't know, but I'm pretty sure my Japanese host mother would have given it no stars.
