    Papardelle prosciutto

Came around 5 on a Saturday. Asked if we had a reservation; we didn't. So they asked if we could be done in an hour and 15 minutes. I told him - you won't be waiting on us. If you get the drinks and food out, we'll take care of it. An hour later I've had the app, bread, and a salad that. Inexplicably took a half hour to come out. Still waiting on entree. They did bring me a second slice of bread that they shouldn't have served because it's burnt as hell. The table oil was good, but why no balsamic or Parmesan for the bread? Wife had the papardelle prosciutto. Had decent flavor,, but nothing to scream about. Good enough, and she was satisfied. My Veal Cardinale, however... simply bland, bland, bland. After adding a LOT of pepper, Parmesan, and oregano, it started to approach flavor. But it just wasn't worth eating more than a few bites. Veal was bland, although cooked fine. Sauce was super flavorless. Waitress asked if I'd like something else, but I declined. This was a test run; I knew I was taking chances. Wife took her food home, I left mine behind. Overall - service okay; don't know if ya them or the kitchen that's painfully slow. Friendly - I'll give them that. Food. The best of two dishes was okay. Not great Italian. Maybe we had an off night. First time tried, so maybe they're fantastic and I caught them at the wrong time. But I won't find out, because at the price point I'll hit Gabriella's where I know it'll be good. Barely ate any of mine it was so bland, so the before and after won't look much different. Also, served one slice of bread up front. It was good. 45 min later offered a second piece of bread. Both mine and the wife's were burnt as hell. Can't believe they offered it to customers.

Forgot about this local gem. Will be back for sure. Started with bread - warm, good crust and tasty oil to dip in. Followed by calamari - large pieces that are flash fried and so light tasting. Craig got mushroom soup - velvety taste and chock full of mushrooms. I got a Caesar side salad - dressing had a lemon bent with a nice offset with the cheese which was a stronger, salty taste. Dinner was a delicious eggplant stack for Craig - large portion, included sweet Italian sausage and roasted red peppers with marinara sauce - shows great restraint and the right ratios. Mine was gnocchi - large portion, nice mix, taste and texture. We finished out with yummy, yummy lava cake. Service was very good - cheerful, informative with passion about her job and the restaurant. Highly recommend.

After another day on the road, we wanted a nice dinner and tried Vino. It is in a mall and the interior is nothing special but the service and food make this a 4 star restaurant. Our server, Trey, recommended the chicken/veal parmigiana and chicken/veal saltimbocca so we ordered both. The house salads were good as well as the recommended entrees. Accompanied penne was cooked al dente. A full bar provides libations to accompany your meal. If you are near Harrisburg, PA, give this establishment a try- you may be surprised.

    Nice casual dining atmosphere

We come here once a year and have never had a bad meal. This time all 4 had something different and each was a success.

Vino's may be tiny, but it certainly does a very good Italian meal. Their bread and service are terrific. Prices are fair.

Excellent food at a reasonable price. Calamari cooked perfectly, Ciappino excellent. Fair wine pricing. We go here often.

The outside of the complementary bread was flaky and the inside was soft. I wish the butter weren't directly from the fridge so it was more easily spreadable, but the oil mix was tasty. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!…read more After 15 years, we returned to what was once a favorite--only to experience one of the most disappointing meals we've had in decades. We arrived for an early dinner. The restaurant was nearly empty, yet the service was cold, dismissive, and unwelcoming from the outset. Our server seemed bothered by our presence, setting a poor tone that never improved. The appetizers--steamed clams and stuffed portobello mushrooms--were a clear indication of what was to come. The clams were completely devoid of flavor, and the mushrooms were nothing more than a soggy, unrecognizable mass. For entrées, we ordered the Lobster Ravioli and Veal ala Sammy with shrimp in a cream sauce. The veal was poorly executed, bland, sloppily plated, and came with exactly two small shrimp--an afterthought at best. The Lobster Ravioli, however, was truly inexcusable. It was not just bad--it was inedible. We took one taste and sent it back. At that point, despite a full dining room (inexplicably so), we asked for the check. What followed was beyond unacceptable: we were told the owner/cook refused to remove the ravioli from the bill. When I asked to speak with him, I was abruptly cut off and told it was "policy." In all my years of dining--across countless cities--this is the first time I have ever been charged for a dish that was sent back after a single taste because it was inedible. That is not policy--that is bad business. Against our better judgment, we gave them one last opportunity and ordered lasagna to go. What we received was a sloppy, unidentifiable mess thrown into a styrofoam container. We left it on the table without hesitation. Later, speaking with locals, the decline made sense--we were told the owner has been trying to sell the business, and that it is understaffed, poorly managed, and clearly struggling. But none of that excuses what we experienced. If anything, it confirms it. If you cannot properly execute your menu, then reduce it. Focus on something--anything--you can do well. What we encountered was a kitchen and operation completely out of its depth. Bottom line: careless, flavorless, poorly run, and not worth a single dollar. Go if you want--but if you do, don't say you weren't warned.

We finally decided to give it a try and were very impressed. While the restaurant is the corner of a strip mall, once you enter through the doors you are welcomed to a nicely decorated and welcoming Tuscan interior.  Definitely not what we were expecting from the outside. The host and servers were very friendly throughout our visit and made us feel like regulars even if it was our first visit.  The food was very good and reasonably priced! The bread basket contained warm rolls and started the meal. We tried the caprese salad, which was flavorful and good portioned. My wife tried the gnocchi solentina and was pleased. The gnocchi was light and not overly dense as some places, tossed with red sauce, fresh basil, mozzarella and italian sausage. I ordered the Pollo Princepessa special, which was a lightly breaded chicken cutlet with cheese, roasted red peppers, and a shrimp skewer over penne in a garlic white wine sauce. It was delicious.  The restaurant is a BYOB and is happy to accommodate diners with wine glasses and bottle opening. Overall we are looking forward to returning as the rest of the menu items sound delicious.
