It's another nice day here in Central Pennsylvania. It's not the first but the second time I rode my Harley into the sunlight. Now before the sun went down. I found myself at JoJo's pizzeria. All I wanted was a classic slice of cheese, but I ended up getting the Nona pizza and of course a beautiful Coca-Cola now I sat outside as I enjoyed the chirping of the birds. I was excited to find out that this is not just a pizza spot, but it is also an Italian restaurant so as I was waiting for my pizza. I decided to also get a nice slice of tiramisu cake! Now this tiramisu was nothing like Olive Garden. It was way beyond the perfect blend of espresso and coffee notes inside of my mouth. Its everything that it should be! I sat outside and even though it was right off the highway outside of Harrisburg I felt like I was right back in Sicily. This place is very clean. The bathrooms were utterly amazing and the staff was very nice. It's kid-friendly and there's plenty of seating also plenty of parking. I highly recommend the pizza and of course try it well done. And if you haven't yet try eating your pizza with a fork and knife. Based on the location and of course, the food I'll give this place a 4.7 out of 5. read more

My wife and I usually takeout pizza or hot subs which are really good but decided this time to sit in the main dining room. The special appetizer was great with avocado and creamy mozzarella. The eggplant parmesan entree was also delicious. There was an ample supply of bread offered. We definitely recommend giving this restaurant a try and if you are a regular customer, you already know how good it is. read more

Horrible service and restaurant. Have gone many times and Mother's Day was horrible. Have waited over 1 and 1/2 hrs and still no dinner. Had to ask for bread, refills on water and never got either. If they can't handle the business Don't take the reservations. I highly recommend that you do not come here. Manager did nothing for us. read more

This was our first visit to JoJo's and we were very impressed!  The quality of food, service, and overall environment were amazing! Even though it was our first visit, the atmosphere and service made it feel like a place we can relax and enjoy.  On this visit we tried dinner entrees, but the pizza at another table looked delish. We had Chicken Francese, Shrimp Scampi, and Spaghetti with meatballs. Everything was delicious. The chicken and shrimp were cooked perfectly and the lemon sauce was the best. Spaghetti and meatballs were also solid. The full bar and beverage selection was nice.  I highly recommend giving JoJo's on 22 a try, because you will find better food and service than the "fancy" Italian restaurant at the other end of 22/Jonestown Rd. read more

Jojos use to be a favorite place of ours but it has gotten ridiculously expensive. Ordered an Italian wrap and it didn't come with anything...no chips , pickles. Stopped by a few weeks ago and was shocked to overhear how what I assume was a manager speak to his staff. Now the food was OK, expensive for what it was. The service took forever must be short staffed. Server did not look happy to be working. Would not recommend this place as you cannot trust the reviews and the service and food overall nothing I'd pay for again. Most importantly, I want to talk about the food. I have eaten here a few times and it has always been tasty. Haven't had a plate, take out or dine in, that I haven't enjoyed. The restaurant itself is reasonably clean and appealing. It gets a bit noisy, but it is a popular local place so it is to be expected. No problems here; its a lively atmosphere. My issue is the service. While it was never spectacular, it hasn't been bad. It had been a few years since I had visited, so I thought I would give it a try since I was in the area. The service went from OK to awful. We sat on the patio as it was a nice evening. Ordered mussels with wine and butter. Looked and smelled good, but no plates (or bread) were delivered with the dish. We waited a bit over 10 minutes and the server never checked on us. After the butter started to skim I went inside to find the server and found him on his phone at the host stand. Asked him for plates and to have the Mussels replaced as they were now cold with the butter firming up. New mussels and plates, no problem (still no bread for the mussels), must have been a one-off. We had ordered a large stromboli for dinner. It came out looking and smelling fantastic. It was served on the traditional metal pizza tray. No plates. I thought, they couldn't possibly forget again, they did. Server never came back around and I didn't want to bother again as I was hungry and annoyed. The stromboli was very good, no problems there. After we were done, we had to flag the server down to get the check. To summarize, inattentive service, no plates 2x, no bread for the mussels, drinks never checked/refilled for the 45 minutes or so we were there. I would return, just for the food and hoping the service was a one off. Most likely I'll just order food to go and skip eating there. I very much enjoy the food, a nice step above a pizza shop, but the service was really bad. read more

This was the first time we visited -- what a nice place! They have a very nice outdoor dining area. It was a little warm so we chose to eat inside. The server immediately came over and took our drink orders as we perused the big menu. My daughter and I decided to share a white pizza that had tomato , basil and cheese. So I stopped in when I was visiting Harrisburg, PA. The outside looked amazing, but it was to cold to stay out doors, the bar was full so that is usually a good sign. This is a great place! Nice ambiance and they have a large outdoor patio, a casual section with booths, and one for nicer sit down dinner. We were in from out of town for a baseball tournament, and I made a reservation ahead of time. Maddi and Rachel did an amazing job attending to our group of 16! Maddi and I connected a few times before we showed up, and she and the team ensured we were all set up and preordered, which made it as easy as possible for our baseball team. While we were there, they were super attentive with the drinks and any additional orders. In addition to the great space and service, everyone enjoyed the food! Their pizza crust is really good and a nice combo of crispy, yet doughy. My favorite one was the meatball and ricotta that we custom ordered. The wings are good-sized and delicious, too! I highly recommend Jojo's for groups and wouldn't think twice about coming back if we are in the area again. First off I used to come here daily spending $40+ a day on n my way to work for 2 years I told my family it was a decent place and then we order 4 subs for dinner one night costing $90 total somehow and got told the reason was "We are not rich we can not give food away for free" I'm not even gonna get started on how crazy if a statement that can be to a customer so I said I'm not rich either and get told to "suck his dick" and "fuck you we don't need your money" is insane I then called back on purpose knowing he would say the same stuff and got it all on recording noboyd I know will ever be coming there again for your $20 subs and $5 soda. read more

went last night 3/8/2025. They sat us in the back room which was about 3/4 full. next thing a party of about 30 comes in (about 15 teen boys and about 15 parents.) while the boys were well behaved, they were extremely loud and the parents were just as loud, if not louder. They were being very inconsiderate to the other PAYING CUSTOMERS. we complained to our waitress who just laughed, when she should have got the owner who was at the bar talking and ask him to nicely asked the parents to keep it down, as they were disruptive. Or better yet, just use that room for large parties instead of making the other customers not even able to have a conversation at their table. very inconsiderate of the parents and of Jo Jo's who obviously were thinking of the money they would make with a large party instead of taking the other patrons comfortable into consideration. Not going back again or ordering take out again which we do several times a month. Upon leaving, there was another couple leaving who also mentioned how their dinner was ruined because of the disruption from the large party. read more

Ok . I ordered a grilled chicken salad that my wife found rather good. I ordered the special cheese steak . I must say it was one of the worst I've ever had . If you enjoy a practically empty sandwich meaning enough meat to feed a small child than the bun was flavorful. I ordered off their website. And was talked into how wonderful this sandwich was . I'm gonna just give it 4 out of 10 . Plus was not informed that prices on their site is wrong. So don't be shell shocked when your order is more at checkout. Recently ordered from here for takeout. The food was ready promptly and the portions were enormous. I really appreciated that they let me choose the type of pasta to go with my chicken parm entree. I opted for the penne in lieu of the angel hair and was quite pleased. I also ordered a side of meat sauce. The meat sauce cost them 1 star. It was okay but for a place that touted it as "Nonna's homemade meat sauce", I was slightly let down. The sauce was good but it was more sloppy-joe-y than I anticipated. I was hoping for something more Nonna-esque; more south italian. I'm obviously biased by my own Nonna's cooking, but I think the solution for Jojo's is some more seasoning, a smidge of red wine, and a lot less sugar. That would take the meat sauce over the top to really earn that 5th star. I'm being nit picky though. Despite the sauce, which was not bad, I still think JoJo's is an all around solid option that offers abundant options for everyone to enjoy. The salad was crispy and fresh. The house dressing that came with the salad was a standout, and despite having a somewhat odd texture in the container (some stirring quickly solved that), it was tangy and savory. The chicken parm was a nice thin cutlet, properly cooked, smothered in cheese and was delicious. The meal came with 2 cutlets so the portion, combined with the pasta, salad, and bread, could easily have been two meals. read more

We went with a group of friends and dinned outside in the enclosed patio (what a year). Our server was knowledgeable and attentive, and our food was super delicious. My husband and I stopped for dinner as we were passing through. I felt it kind of weird to have the hostess not seat us but instead tell us to sit wherever we wanted. What's the point of having a hostess?! She then followed about a minute later with menus. We ordered a bottle of wine. Someone other than our waiter opened the bottle and as they were opening the bottle of wine, the waiter asked to take our order. All of this to say, it's a wanna be fancy restaurant and they just don't have their act together to be a fancy, upper scale restaurant. Their menu is extensive. Food was OK. We did a carry out order of Ham & Cheese Stromboli, a Special Steak cheesesteak, and a Ranch salad. The boli was excellent, the Special Steak seems to be much smaller than previous orders, and the Ranch salad was especially dissapointing....the salad seemed to be a way of hiding all the lettuce scraps...it consisted of iceberg lettuce veins with no greens. Daughter ordered kid's ravioli and she wanted alfredo sauce instead of red sauce and the waitress said she could check and see if the kitchen could accommodate. She changed her story and said that it was busy and it would be an up charge of $5 for it. Very off putting when kid's meal is $5 and add an additional $5 on top just for alfredo sauce. I can buy a jar of it at the grocery store cheaper! First and definitely last visit here. I ordered a sausage & pepper subs and it was pathetic!
