We finally made it out to WinStar Casino for our first time and in anticipation of our visit I booked a reservation here at Vino's Italian Steakhouse and I'm glad we did. When we walked in we were seated immediately although our seating request was not accommodated and the older lady who's the hostess is quite rude and seems pretty grumpy so that wasn't great. We ordered the arancini and Seafood Dip as appetizers and I ordered the tortellini in Bolognese with a homemade meatball which was delicious and my girlfriend ordered the seafood pasta which she liked a lot too, I also ordered a glass of their house Cabernet and a glass of the Malbec both of which were pretty good. Overall I liked the food and the decor but the hostess and the prices are the two things that might be me hesitate to return but who knows might give it another shot if we're out that way. Another wonderful visit for a quick bite to EAT! Service was amazing my waitress was friendly, helpful and polite. Ambiance was cozy and comfortable. Food was good overall. The giant pepperoni flatbread was tasty. The dinner salad was great loaded with tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, red onion and croutons. The side of spaghetti pomodoro was just ok. The pasta was cooked well, but the sauce felt a bit flat. It needed more flavor or seasoning perhaps some garlic and black pepper. Overall I enjoyed my dining experience again. So we got there and the hostess said it'd be about a 30 min wait. After waiting and getting seated, I felt like they were understaffed. The bar tender was also the waitress. She memorized everything for our order, answered my menu questions. Starting off, we had lobster bisque and calamari. I liked my lobster bisque and would definitely get again if I come back. Calamari was also fine. No complaints about it. Entree was spaghetti and meatballs for me and chicken parmesan (not pictured) for hubby. I think taste wise they did a good job on both. I'm always worried eating pasta at restaurants so I'm glad those were good choices. However my next two decisions would be regrets. The fettucini alfredo side was not to my expectation. Nothing outstanding. The shrimp looked almost undercooked and the taste was ok. I wouldn't recommend those two. But the whole reason why I ordered it was because I was deciding between the meatball and spaghetti and chicken Alfredo. But I settled with trying their Alfredo on a side dish and instead of chicken they could offer me shrimp. I was just happy to learn that next time I can just get the spaghetti and meat balls next time and pass on the extra stuff. Now, we're nearing the end of our meal and I'm seeing tables on both sides of us have bread and salad. The menu said we're supposed to have bread and salad with our entree and we did not. The bread and salad was never delivered. No apology was given either. The waitress did pack the breadsticks to go but it's the principal. I decided to skip on their salad cause I didn't want to risk any stomach ache. Service wise as a whole I'd say not so great. Not my best experience but they are probably doing what they can. I don't know what circumstances they had or if this is a regular thing. I'm pretty sure the hostess was in training or new. She was older and maybe hard of hearing but polite and gave accurate wait time and clear instructions about how they'd text me when the table would be ready and I'd have about 15-20 min to walk back to the restaurant. So she did good there and made sure she had my correct phone number for texting. I'd be reluctant to try this place again based on the whole experience if I'm ever in the mood for maybe a fancier type vibe than their casual restaurants inside the casino. It felt like we were there forever, but I guess only an hour passed. I remember getting a text that the table was ready around 7:46pm, we left around maybe 9pm. They did accept my $25 food reward so that was nice and the whole reason why I dined in with them. The food is ok. It's Italian. I was raised by an Italian so I'm tough. But the food while not memorable is 100xs better than the buffet but not as good as Mickeys. Just different. Hosts and hostesses have always been a sore spot at these restaurants, attempted to come eat here (I am winstar elite so I have 100$ dining credit) with a friend. The older woman who was hostess was so rude and odd that we bolted and ran for Mickey mantles which happily accommodated us with a short wait. I'm 60 so I don't want anyone losing a job but she needs moved to bussing tables or washing dishes and away from the public. Sorry. Casino night with mother. Stopped in for a glass of wine and appetizer, great selection of wines to choose from. Appetizer was ok. Not what I expected, bland and very sweet topping. The food is always good. Today we went in around 4:30 and it was not busy. We were seated and after 5 minutes no one came so I went to the hostess and she told me "they're all in a meeting, it should only be a few more minutes." We waited a few more minutes and decided to leave. The hostess asked us to stay and I asked for the mgr. who showed up five minutes later, after finishing the meeting. She apologized but said "you had only waited like 5 minutes". If you're seating patrons then you should have someone available to serve them, immediately and tell them up front there will be a wait. At the very least, have the hostess bring them water. The manager was curt and demeaning when she could have offered to do something to keep us there. Maybe say "I'll get an appetizer on your table right away. " Our meal was already comped so we're weren't looking for anything more than good food and decent customer service. Do better. read more

Went for dinner tonight. The place is nice and because we were early they had no wait. Service was quick and maybe too quick imo. I like fast service but my wife hates it. We had a $100 food voucher and were trying too use it or lose it. We ordered the trio app that had calamari fried ravioli and bruschetta. We loved the calamari and ravioli but the bruschetta was a pass. I ordered the sausage and peppers and really liked the sausage. My wife ordered the chicken Alfredo and thought it was good. She thought her wine pour was small and food was too much. She got the chocolate cake and loved it. Lot too like about this place. Very reminiscent of Olive Garden. We had a delightful server but the food was average. We stuck with wine and apps so we could get back to the casino! So perhaps the entrees would have impressed? Calamari: looked lije frozen onion rings. I asked, calamari is breaded with a cornflour breading in-house. But I would say the peperoncini which accidentally got breaded and fried were more welcome than the squid pieces. Creamy Shrimp Dip: tasty but way too heavy, in my opinion. Lotta Ricotta! Meatballs were yummy and the marinara is slightly spicy. I would bet the meatballs ate not made in the restaurant, and probably arrive frozen. Consistent delicious food and great service. Highly recommend the amaretto cheesecake it is as close to New York cheesecake as you're gonna get in the south. Lobster bisque was delicate and delicious without being salty. Calamari is a winner as an appetizer. If you're taking it easy on the carbs the meatball appetizer works well as a main dish. Vinos has lunch specials from 11 to 3 for $10 Only thing I'd recommend for this restaurant is to have authentic Italian lemonade or ices and some cappuccinos or espressos for the delicious desserts. read more

The Tuscan shrimp orzo was not as described. There was lobster bisque as the base which it never mentioned on the menu. There were tablespoons of oil left from the pasta. It didn't taste horrible but not at all as expected. read more

We came here for a late lunch (2:30pm) on Thursday. We walked up to the hostess stand and Shey immediately welcomed us, she was very busy cleaning the dining area, and perked up when she saw us, which was awesome. She let us pick our table and told us she would also be our server. We both ordered the Silver Margarita. She said she was going to let us look over the menu while she went to make our drinks. We were both blown away as we said to each-other... WOW, she literally does everything here and still has a happy-go-lucky positive attitude. Shey came back with our Margaritas about 5 minutes later, then took our food order. I ordered the Margherita Flatbread Pizza, and my spouse ordered the Spaghetti and meatballs w/o cheese. She told us she would put in our order, and come back with our salad and breadsticks. We were overjoyed to learn our meals came with salad and breadsticks, could this place really get any better? Our margaritas were fantastic, and as we sipped away at them, Shey came right out with our salad and breadsticks. The salad was delicious, reminded me of Olive Garden's. The breadsticks were warm, came with a side of butter, and were whole wheat. They were delicious as well. As we finished up or salads, Shey came out with our entrees. The potion sizes are huge! Each of the meatballs on my spouse's spaghetti were literally almost the size of my fist. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, we didn't have any room left for dessert on this visit. To wrap it up, this was a delicious meal, with Fantastic service. The restaurant didn't have many diners at the time we visited, so we really felt like VIP's. Shey was very attentive in keeping our drinks full, removing empty plates from the table, and checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. Pretty good for casino Italian! Every entree is served with Italian salad and breadsticks which were good, Olive Garden vibes. The arancini were delicious, nice and hot with a creamy risotto filling, I do with it had a bit more pepperoni inside. The entree special was kind of pricy when the menu price was about $13 cheaper. I would recommend the tortellini but for the cost I would recommend ordering it off the menu instead of as a special. The waitress was nice but we did feel a bit rushed as we were asked if we were ready to order every 5 minutes when just trying to have a leisurely meal. Our drink orders were taken and we were brought salad and ordered appetizers and drinks but for some reason the bread never made it to the table until our food arrived. The salad, breadsticks, calamari and my zucchini was delicious. I ordered the mango margarita and it tasted syrupy. Next time I'll stick to wine. They did bring the birthday person a free dessert and sung happy birthday with us. Overall service and food was good minus the margarita. Place was warm and wasn't crowded at all. New Years Day dinner. Bread is very good. Service was average. Salad was tasty though the lettuce was soggy. Ordered the fettuccine alfredo which after an extended delay arrived luke warm to warm (not hot) depending on the depth into the noodles. The hunk of chicken that came with it was overcooked and hard and lukewarm. The server gave us a slice of limoncello cream cake, which was very good, to make up for the food quality. We've eaten here before and not had these issues so don't know why this experience was different, but considering the food cost (low to mid $20s per plate) this kind of thing is unacceptable. read more

We ordered Calamari that never came, were never reassured that they were working on our order, and it took 45 minutes just for waters and 2 bottles of wine to come to the table. This place was not busy during 12pm at lunch time which I am surprised as last time this place was packed at night. I ordered the ribeye which was $39 dollars. Service was very good as I got my water poured and salad delivered. It reminded me of the Olive Garden with unlimited salad and bread sticks which was nice as the taste and mixed of salad did as well. I only got 1 plate of salad and bread which was plenty for me as I was going to eat at the buffet tonight. Ribeye was very good. It was a thin slice and not a thick one. Food incredibly delicious- especially the bruschetta, house salad and flatbread pizza. The tomatoes were especially fresh and flavorful. No complaints on anything. We were looking for a place to eat while at winstar.  This place is at the casino.   There wasn't a wait so we were seated.  They brought out salad and breadsticks and that was the highlight of the meal. I got the cheese ravoili which was lukewarm and bland.  It had no taste. I asked them to reheat and they stuck in microwave. Went in with low expectations and they completely turned that around. Unplanned dining experience and they blew us away with their delicious food. We had the meatballs, the Cajun chicken pasta, and lasagne. The complimentary salad & breadsticks were amazing. The meatballs and Cajun chicken pasta were the stars of the show - very very good! You wouldn't think to get a cajun dish in an Italian joint but they knew what to do to make it great. The pasta dish was so creamy and saucy. The meatballs were also unexpectedly moist and flavorful. Our server, Raven, was a sweetheart. Prompt, listens well, and checks back to see if everything is ok. I ordered the ribeye and lobster. Wife ordered the filet and lobster. Steaks were cooked exactly as we had ordered them. The lobster tail was large. Our favorite vegetable, asparagus, was on board. The food was wonderful. I have no knocks other than it's a little pricey- but in this day and age- expecting higher prices seems normal. I highly recommend Vino's. read more
