First time at this salon in the Stone Oak area and VERY pleased with my shellac pedicure and dip mani. Got my brows done too and the entire thing was just a little over $100. Colors were extensive, salon is really beautifully done and the staff (including my soon to be new nail guy Joseph) all were very nice. Complimentary cocktails, less than a five minute wait for a walk in on a busy Sunday afternoon. What's not to love?! WILL be coming back-I just found my new nAil salon! read more

Someone who looked as if they are experienced brought out stencil stickers for a French tip. Told her a few times to fix it because it was so rushed and a few were just crooked. It took way too long on top of that. The last time another girl couldn't do a French tip and blamed it on her tools so I knew this time to avoid that tech, I spent 155for a shellac pedicure and build a gel new set. I could have busted out my Amazon kit for better results than going back here. I'll make the drive back to Potranco where I just moved from for more professional looking nails. read more

I usually get my lashes done here but never again. The girl that did my lashes poke my eye and she put the tape incorrectly she kept on saying "sorry", she then dropped the tweezers and picked them up and continue to work on MY EYE. she took 3 hours to do my lashes and honestly they're not even full. And if that wasn't enough I now have an infection on my eye and the lashes look terrible. This place really sucks. The staff is so rude and they lie to customers about everything - wait times, prices, you name it. We have been here before and it was ok, mainly went because they were open when our usual place was closed. They only want to sell gel nails, because the lady that helped us REFUSED to help us find a matching color in regular for toes. The paint looked like they put whiteout on my daughter's nails and the glitter was pitiful, also with paint all over the cuticles. They gave us a voucher to come back and have them repainted because they were closing but we will not be doing that. Stay away, awful customer service but mentioned multiple times they just wanted us to pay (of course we were going to pay, but they care it was wrong but just wanted paid before even addressing the concern). This is the first time I've ever had nails done that they weren't even good enough to wait until the next time. This was also an attempt to change the pain, notice her bloody toes. read more

i went in for an overlay fill and a french tip, i wish i could go back in time and just cut my nails off. this is how they looked the second time i left, after i came back in because i had bubbles and dust bumps left, along with the lines of my french tip just floating off thickly into an abyss with no symmetry. they "fixed" both nails, skipped the gel on the middle finger and sent me off with a few "have a good day"'s i had to come home and reshape my nails and add a top coat. if you're ever thinking, skip the drive and just go local- how do you mess up a fill-- know its possible and done often. not pleased. read more

I called to make an appointment. I arrived at said appointment time. I waited 30 minutes for the nail technician to be available. She was visibly annoyed and was rude. She did a terrible job, rushed through the process and was annoyed the whole time she was working on my nails. Her name was Bella so I do not recommend you getting your nails done with her. Tried this again today and you can tell by the one star I gave that it didn't go so well...again! I Specifically asked the receptionist if she had people that could take my daughter and I right away. She said yes so we went to the chair and put our feet in the water. About 20 minutes later a man came over and started on my daughter' s toenails as I continued to wait for at least 10 more minutes. After waiting for 30 minutes I left to get ready for an event we had to attend and told my daughter I'd be back for her in a little bit. After waiting 30 minutes there was no way I could wait any longer to get my toenails done and get to my event on time. I told the owner that people should not be lied to. If they would have told me they couldn't take us right away we could have gone somewhere else and he would have lost my money for the day but now he's lost my money for good. My daughter is heading back to school now. It was the last thing e we're going to do before she left. Didn't get to enjoy that. Very disappointed in you Vin Pearl! This is two times in a row. I come here all the time and usually it is a great experience, but whenever I get this one guy it is always awful. He rushes the process and goes really fast which always ends in errors or cuts. Today was now different, I once again have multiple cuts and nicks on my cuticles and my nails are messy and rough. I hadn't been to this nail salon in a couple of years so I stopped by yesterday after work. I had a gel mani/pedi. The woman who did the pedicure was great. We had a language barrier between us but she was still so nice and I had a good time laughing with her, on top of her doing a great job! I was told her name is "Chen" - apologies if I misspelt that! Completely opposite experience with the manicurist dear lord! She was very rough and would yank my hands and fingers around like they weren't attached to my arm or there wasn't a plexi glass between us. She even sliced open my pinkie during it! The final straw for me was when she lightly slapped the hand she was painting and told me "Don't touch me" two times. While I completely understand covid safety, that was one of the dumbest things a manicurist could tell a customer while she's 1. A manicurist period!, 2. Painting my nails & forcing my hand down, 3. She's not wearing any hand gloves! A few of the other nail techs had hand gloves on which is totally reasonable but how are you going to get mad at me for our skin touching? I'm not the one who can wear a glove while getting my nails done! I left a tip for the pedicure lady but not the manicurist which she seemed very confused by. If you're slapping my hand telling me not to touch you I'm going to assume you don't want my money touching you either. The manager approached me as I was leaving and asked if everything was okay & I explained what had happened. Not to mention, other nail techs heard what she said as well and their eyes got big like "Wow!". He was very dismissive & said sorry I'll talk to her and walked away. The girl I used to see who would do my dip powder nails left and I don't know where she went. I came in and asked them to refer me to somebody who is good at doing dip. I should have known better, they stuck me with somebody that was probably just available and is not very good at doing dip. Within a week, my nails were lifting and chipping on all the corners. They also tried to put a shellac gloss top and when I told them that no I didn't want any UV light, they put regular clear polish! Yeah no. They make special dip powder clear topper. On top of everything else, when I came in they were pretty rude. I just feel like if you're going to try to be in an area like this, you should try to treat your customers better. read more

Quinn the mail tech is beyond rude. Her customer service skills are so subpar. I felt so u comfortable. She doesn't speak when she sees you, she just walks Right past you. I'm a polite person so I'll say "hello, how are you"... she legitimately WONT RESPOND. It's so cringey ans awkward. If you see anything wrong with your lash, she's not keen to fix it. It's a frustrating experience all together. Her work is pretty good, but the experience is not. She doesn't ASK what length or curl you want, she just does whatever she thinks. So sometimes it'll be LONG and the next time for the fill, they'll all be short. I do not recommend this location. I think you should pay for both the service AND experience. My aunt and I just recently moved from Houston to San Antonio and we wanted to try out a place nearby the house, and we stumbled upon Vinpearl. This salon was a very quaint and cozy place with nice decor and very clean. They created plexiglass partitions for both the pedicure and manicure areas and also sprayed down the seating and counters with sanitizer each time a client left. The nail tech I had did both my feet and nails and he really took his time to ensure that it was done nicely. He gave great advice on what undercoat and chrome color would look best, and created a cool diamond design on my ring finger. I have been coming to this salon for the past 5 or so years and I 1. never make an appointment, and 2. never worry about seeing a specific nail technician. This salon has a stable staff that is expert and fast in their nail services. I drop in and rarely have to wait (now, I do avoid busy Saturdays, that's the only time I will make an appointment). They offer so many different types of manicures and pedicures, and they will try something new if you can show them a photo on your cellphone. I rarely have the same type of manicure twice and mine last all month. I'm pretty hard on my hands but the manicure lasts-- my nails grow too fast, so I get them done after 3 weeks but not because of any chips in the polish. This week I got a chocolate brown dip base color with silver chrome ombre on top starting at the nail bed. Love the effect! Be very careful of the unethical practices of charging for things that should be part of the nail process. For 9 times the prices was $45 for acryillic fill..then all of a sudden it is now $50 to make the nails shorter. Did not notify me just began charging the additional $5.00. When questioned said the 9 times was a discount--not according to their brochure in the salon. It isn't the $5 it is the principle of just adding it with no notice and why after 9 times. I've been coming here a really long time and they provide consistently good service. I will say that I've only gotten pedicures though, so I can't comment on their other services - I am good at saying no. I have never, ever waited for a technician. I walk in, choose my color, get seated right away, and off we go. I usually go mid-day though, and hardly ever on the weekend. Sometimes they offer me a drink (non-alcoholic or alcoholic) and sometimes they forget. I'm not afraid to ask though and I'm not above drinking a glass of free house wine before noon. You shouldn't be either. They actually have a mixed drinks menu - just ask for it! My mom and my daughter came with me last month. Kid had a Coke, I got a Mimosa, and my mom got an Appletini. Mmmm. For pedicures, just get the Deluxe. Don't short change yourself. It's $40 and I add $5 cash for tip, which I think is fair. I come once/month. It includes a lavender or citrus scrub, lotion, leg massage, paraffin wax, and don't forget your drink! Settle into that massage chair with an outdated Glamour magazine and you're all set. I usually use this time to catch up on Yelp reviews though...haha. They have TVs too, but I never pay attention to what's on. Volume is low, but captioning is on. Staff is friendly and attentive. They will try to upsell you, of course. It's ok to say no to having your mustache waxed off, especially when you've just came from the hair salon. Don't be offended. It comes with the territory. They use bowl liners and tools come out of the sterilization packs. The cleanliness of the microplane cheese grater is questionable, but I still get it done cuz it makes my tootsies so soft! When your technician whispers to another technician that's clear across the room and she giggles, assume they are talking about you. That's part of the fun. Ask for Tammy. She does a good job and she's the only one I ever see wearing a name tag, so I remember only her name. I just take first available, and I've never had anyone do a bad job. Oh, they get 4 instead of a 5 because they have some bizarre policies that irk me. (1) there are coupons on the back of the HEB receipts, but only for new customers. So, you can only use a coupon once. Why? That's total crap. If you keep putting them out there and I take the time to cut it out and it's not expired, then give me my $5 off. (2) The above didn't bother me as much when they started a rewards program to earn points towards a free service. But just as I finally got close enough to earn a free pedicure, they axed the program. Grrrr. Loyalty counts for nothing these days. Enjoy your pampering! read more
