I absolutely adore this place - it's my favorite nail salon I've been a regular at in the 4 states I've lived in. The staff is wonderful. So polite and always pleasant. Some nail salons are uncomfortable and you can feel that the workers just want to rush out of there, or are speaking the whole time to each other and ignoring you. This family establishment is so awesome when it comes to customer service - they learn your name and get to know you. They have a variety of beverages that are complimentary and a large selection for services. They are not the cheapest place in town, nor the most expensive, however they have an awesome level of quality. My dip powder manicures and pedicures have been excellent so far.. great attention to detail and the workers take their time to give the best results. The place is very clean and I have never seen any questionable practices in that regard. They have an amazing selection of colors and will find something to make you happy. Honestly I'm not sure I've given a nail place 5 stars but this place really is top notch. I've only been a few times so far but this is definitely my go to nail salon here in San Antonio! read more

Terrible place!!!!! I will be calling State Board for several reasons. 1. The nail tech put the leftover nail polish he used back into the bottle he dispensed it from. 2. When I confronted the nail tech halfway through my service that I had to leave because they looked terrible he insisted I pay full price I said no he came over to me and grabbed my arm all crazy and I told him to not touch me. Not to mention the angry nail tech had my ATM card and refused to give it back to me. I would of paid for what he did but not full price all my nails were different shapes, lengths and were slanted. They asked me to leave which I did but I was not happy for how the nail tech treated me. Very unprofessional & unsanitary!!!! read more

I brought my daughter in to get her nails done for homecoming and when I showed them the picture they said $85 and I said why so much and so they went down to 80 and then when I said OK they went back up to $85 and I asked why not $80 they were willing to go to $80 when they thought I would leave but she just keeps saying it's $85 like she doesn't understand what I'm saying and won't go back down to $80 so I won't be coming back here again read more

It's safe to say I'm fairly annoyed. I have come to this nail salon twice & each time I have had an issue with my nails shortly after my visit. I should preface though by saying that the service is wonderful & the people are so great to talk to during your visit. Unfortunately the quality of work hasn't been the best. My first visit I went in for a pedicure & a full set. The pedicure was relaxing & the man who did my full set was very nice. However five days (yes I counted) after getting my nails done one popped off. Mind you I wasn't doing any crazy activity that would cause them to pop off I was actually on vacation. Additionally, I noticed that the acrylics were lifting from my nail while I was on vacation & it made me worried that unnecessary moisture was going to get trapped in between the nail & acrylic. It was very annoying because I did pay a good amount for my nails & this salon has/had such great reviews. Second visit, I went in to have my nails redone. I didn't complain or make a stink about my nail popping off the week prior, because I wanted to give them a second chance. This visit was the same as the first & I left satisfied with the customer service BUT a couple days later one of my nails started to lift. Along with having issues with my nails (I haven't had a set last longer than a week without issues) I will say that this salon is a bit more expensive than other salons in the area. I know the saying is "you get what you pay for" but I can't say that about this place. I've paid less for better. Two stars for the customer service. *sigh. read more

I had a good experience with my lavender pedicure and ombre acrylic nail set at Alamo Nail & Spa on May 15th. The customer service was great, the facility was very clean and the atmosphere was relaxing. I didn't have to wait. The few customers who I did see waiting, didn't have to for more than 15 minutes or so. My pedicure turned out GREAT, however I wasn't thrilled about my finger nails because the acrylic seems uneven in areas. Full disclosure, this is the first acrylic set I've had in years so maybe my expectations were a bit high. Overall, I gave an 'Ok' rating because I would be willing to go back so they could change my mind about my rating, just not for acrylic. read more

I am tired of going to places where they jack my eyebrows or they can paint nails to save their lives! But this place did an awesome job! Becky did my pedicure and my eyebrows and she said as the bomb! I actually left with my eyebrows intact. I was so pleased with her she will always be the person I go to for my eyebrows and pedicure. My first visit they messed up my appt and I had to come back 3 hours later but they made up for it with a beautiful dip. 2nd appt I booked 2 weeks early for a bridal party of 3. I confirmed the morning of and specifically asked if my DIL could get her mani/pedi at the same time because it was her lunch hour. They didn't start on her until 20 minutes after appt. She ended up taking a 1 hour and 45 minute lunch! Her nails were also filed crooked. My nails were very sloppy and I've been peeling polish of my fingers all day. My daughter,the bride, has a 4 spots that he cut her skin. Ouch! Not good for her pictures either. I also left my coupon at home but they weren't nice enough to honor it and my bill was $220! So, I'd like to start off this review by saying I don't frequent nail salons very often. But, I'm in San Antonio visiting family and my family is crazy, so I took my wife here to escape the insanity. When you walk in, it's as if you're walking into stucco heaven. You don't get these types of places in DC. I'm later told this is nothing, but I was impressed. High ceilings, painted walls etc. It's a big place. We both got mani-pedis (Forgive me if I don't know all the terminology). They sit us down in these massage chairs and go to work. My wife had a great experience. They're all about the upsell here and I dig that. She got these wax type treatments on her feet and hands. My nail lady answered her phone twice during the session. Kind of annoying, but I wasn't going anywhere. Probably the reason they got 3 stars. She was wearing a pink velvet jump suit, which normally would bump her up to 4 stars, but the phone answering annoyed me. Look, we got there early, but the place was packed later on. They do a good job, but I felt the prices were high for San Antonio. Would I go back? Yeah, it's fine. Am I going to be a raving fan about this place? Hold on, the phone is ringing. read more

Stopped in with my wife today so she could get her nails done. She didn't have an appointment or anything so we sat and waited for a few minutes until employees finished with other customers. I'm by no means a regular to getting pedicures but instead of sitting around being bored while my wife got a manicure I decided to get a Spa Pedicure. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and equipment; as well as the friendliness of the employees. The Spa Pedicure was around $40 and nearly put me to sleep!
