I'm sad to say this place is spiraling downward over the past few months, and I won't be surprised when it closes down. The buffet tonight was pitiful and embarrassing, and it's Friday night. Everything I wanted to eat was way overfried and appeared to have sat around until it was dried out. They had catfish, but not fillets. The shrimp was like marbles. No coleslaw -- as in, they didn't make any. How do you serve seafood in Alabama without offering coleslaw? The chicken looked greasy, so i passed. They had frog legs, gizzards and chicken livers. I walked around and around trying to find something that looked edible. I ordered a chopped sirloin steak, but it turned out to be a hockey puck. I get they're trying to save money, to remain affordable, and not throw out stuff that's been sitting out awhile, but I don't think I can afford to go back if they can't afford to serve me a decent meal. I should have took into account the bad reviews. I was going to give it the benefit of the doubt since there were more good reviews than bad. The food on the buffett was cold and terrible. I asked if there was steak on the buffett and the waitress answered yes, what she failed to tell is that it was probably bottom round steak or chuck steak because it was tough as a shoe sole. The steak was Very Tender (we do well done steaks). One of the best tasting most tender we have had. The service was friendly and quick. Would recommend this place! Pretty good little place. It's like Cracker Barrel but it's a buffet. Some stuff had been sitting a little longer on the buffet but regardless everything i had was great. Worst fucking place ever and I'm not picky. Went there with 7 people and only one actually ate. Three streaks were way overcooked and burnt, fries were undercooked, Philly cheesesteak had no flavor, raw chicken wings with expired teriyaki sauce that was soured, inside of the tomatoes were black and rotten (in salad), honey mustard for chicken tenders was soured and had gone bad. They basically tried to poison us not to mention the server was a bitch. The manager was even worse and was drinking on the job in her office place. For starters it was a Friday night at 7pm, no line no waiting at a steakhouse, should have been my first "get out" sign but it was our first time going I didn't know what to expect. I asked the waitress for recommendations, that was a mistake. She couldn't recommend a single thing because she had not tried anything so she said and that Should have been my second "get out" sign. I figured for the over priced menu she would have had some knowledge of the menu. On to the entrees, I ordered the large ribeye, mashed potatoes, and Mac n cheese. Apparently they have no grill bc the steak was cooked on a flat top grill, you know the way they cook them at huddle house. Juicy (greasy) yet flavorless. I had one bite, nope not for me. The mashed potatoes were straight out of a box and pasty like. Again one bite. On to the gritty Mac n cheese, yes exactly that. You ever had easy Mac with the powder from the dollar general... same consistency yet way more expensive. I sat there the whole time staring out the window while my boyfriend painfully ate through his (he's not the type to be rude) the waitress walked passed the table several times... never asked if the food was ok or cooked correctly. I had a whole plate of food, she brought the check, asked if we need to go boxes (I said no) and she still never asked about the food. Went to pay, girl asked if everything was ok and I said it was terrible, she looked at me dead in the face a giggled... even when she saw I was dead serious she proceeded to give us a total, I quickly interrupted and asked for the manager. Was not worth $16.95. Had to barrow Ranch dressing from wife for salad. My son had the chicken Alfredo. It arrived mounded on a plate noodle not right noodles chunky chicken thrown on top no sauce on the chicken. Again $16.95. Wife ordered steak with sweet potato $12.95 seemed bland. We also received a blooming Onion it was undercooked and very greasy. Bread with side spread. Our end bill was $60.00. Me and 7 other people visited here today with high hopes but were extremely disappointed by the end the food was pretty terrible for the prices they charge we had steaks which were all cooked wrong. My boyfriend asked for a discount because his steak was well done and had a complete raw spot in it when he asked for a medium cooked steak. The Mac and cheese was absolutely garbage super dry and bland. He asked for a discount on his $22 dollar meal because we had to rush around and be somewhere else and didn't have time to wait another 15 minutes for a recooked steak. Our waitress told us she would just take his entire meal off all together and never once said he could not eat it(he didn't even eat the entire steak). The owner Miles came out and proceeded to argue with my boyfriend being very hateful and unprofessional with him calling my boyfriend a liar stating that he cooked his steak so he knew for a fact that it was cooked right when all 8 of us at the table saw how over cooked it was and even showed it to our waitress who agreed that it was way over cooked. My boyfriend then got hateful back with him where Miles then proceeded to threaten to call the cops on us.
