Wonderful pizza joint with a friendly staff and main st location! They even have nice huge window to pull up a seat to and watch the folks hiking the AT or the cool bikes and automobiles out cruising the mountain roads! The pizza was tasty and they plan to offer Big Pillow Beer soon! Highly recommend this Hot Springs restaurant:)

Our plans changed for a holi-day and we were looking for place for lunch. Luckily, this cute vinyl themed place was open! They were short staffed but they still did awesome job. If you are looking for amazing pizzas, hospitality, and awesome sauce, then this is the place! We will come back.

This place is in hot springs Nc they rebuilt it from the last hurricane. The food is made from scratch. Meaning the peel the tomatoes to make the sauce and handmade dough ordered from Italy. Everything bite was scrumptious. If you ever visit I suggest you stop in and check them out . They also have Italian beer .

What a neat place!! I stopped here on my motorcycle on the way from Kingsport, Tennessee to Maggie Valley, North Carolina. Being from Buffalo I had the Buffalo Soldier pizza but being born and raised in California I opted for ranch instead of Bleu Cheese the owner made my pizza and It was great. I loved the song lyrics on the walls and all the decor. What a great idea for a place. I was just following my gps and I stumbled upon it, but I'll definitely come through here deliberately next time just to stop here again.

The place was packed on a Thursday night and stayed busy all night. The pizza was pretty good, but the atmosphere and service were excellent.

We love Vinyl Pies!!! The pizza is AMAZING!!! The staff is friendly & the options abundant!! I love the bar facing the street. So cool!! The relaxed atmosphere makes it easy to talk & visit.

I will never be able to eat any other pizza again. This place has the best I have ever had in my life. My husband and I both absolutely loved it. Even he said it was the best he has ever had. Let me tell you how good it was. My husband NEVER eats the outside crust of a pizza. He ate every bit of his. We both did. I just hate we didn't order one to go to have for supper. The staff were very friendly. Service was quick. Atmosphere very chill and they played great music but not too loud. It was so good that we are driving the 45ish minutes it takes to get there again today to eat. This time I will bring one home for supper.

Hungry Like the Wolf pizza. Ziggys pizza dust makes it even better. Good food. Great people.

Hungry Like the Wolf and White Wedding are outstanding pizzas!!! Everything about this pizza is perfect. Ziggy's pizza dust makes it even better. Service was great too. Definitely coming back!!!

We ate here over the weekend and I can honestly say this is the best pizza we've had since we moved to North Carolina. The pizza was cooked perfectly and the Noble Cherry Cinder was fantastic. Karen was amazing and was so pleasant to speak with. Try the Ziggy Pizza Dust. If you don't, you're missing out. Definitely a must try and we will be coming back if we are ever in the area!

Best pizza around! High quality flour From Italy and the brick oven make the pizza absolutely delicious. Awesome vinyl record theme and decor in a space that used to be a bank. There's a thoughtful selection of "greatest hits" specialty pizzas or you can build your own ("what I like about you"). The spinach pizzsalad and Margaritaville are my two top favorites. Ziggy's Pizza Dust sprinkled on the pizza is excellent! Staff is wonderful- very personable and upbeat. Great selection of NC beers on tap as well. A must for anyone visiting Hot Springs!!

Excellent dessert wine but very sweet and will sneak up on you.

I was in Hot Springs for a couple of days on section hike of the Appalachian Trail. I stopped in to…read moreeat 3 different meals there over the course of three days. Day 1: Lunch. Another hiker and I decided to stop in as we got to town and have a late lunch. It had been a couple of days since we'd had town food and we were tired and hungry. The first thing I noticed was the wait to be seated. We waited about 20 minutes, and once we got to the dining area, there were several empty tables. Once we're seated and ordered, the food came out timely and was delicious. I had a cheeseburger and the cherry cobbler with ice cream. Day 2: Breakfast. Since the food was good, we decided to go back for breakfast again the next day. Again, there was a wait to be seated. We were a group of 5 so we expected there might be a wait. The waitress was friendly and our orders were placed quickly. it did take a while for the food to come out from the kitchen. I had a country breakfast plate with ham. Again the food was delicious. Day 3: Supper. We had a relatively short wait to be seated this time. We were seated and asked for some water. It took over 20 minutes to get the water. Finally a different waitress came out and took our order. I ordered the hungry hiker challenge. It is a cheeseburger with three 8-ounce burger patties on it. The menu says if you finish you get some free cobbler. While we were waiting for our food we noticed that a local who came in and sat down after we were seated had already been served and was done eating before our food arrived. I finished the burger, and some of the other patron's noticed and congratulated me. When the waitress arrived she asked if we needed anything else. I asked if the free cobbler came with ice cream on it. She said no, so I ordered ice cream to go with my cobbler. It was a peach that day. Again, the food was delicious. The main thing that I notice about the restaurant was that despite having great food, service was pretty slow. One of the hikers I ate with noticed that the waitresses seemed to have to seat the customers, take the orders, deliver the food, clean the tables, and handle the check-out at the end of the meals. It seems like the service would have been much quicker if they had someone handling the seating, check-out's, and possibly bussing and cleaning tables. The worst part of the experience was the long waits to be seated and for the food to come out. The food itself was great and I found the servers and other customers to be friendly. The furnishings were clean with a 1960's diner feel. Overall, I would hesitate to go back if I were in a hurry of any kind. If time is no object, the food is great.

Next time, I'm leaving room for pie. I don't believe we had just one waitress. It seems that in this quaint little Diner, everyone is looked after and checked on as a whole by staff. My Ball jar of sweet tea was never any less than half full, and that sweet tea was *chef's kiss*. We both decided on the meatloaf, and I opted for cornbread, green beans and pickled beets. I felt like I had been transported back in time and was being fed by my great great grandmother. Sounds a bit dramatic, I know. But I haven't had cornbread, meatloaf or beets like this in so many years. It did not taste like restaurant food, it tasted like home cooking. We're already planning our next little "run away from life and parenthood" to Hot Springs, and Smoky Mountain Diner is top of the "will definitely visit again" list. Thank you for treating us like family.

It's now under new ownership and there are changes to the menu, but in a good way. It now has Asian items on the menu, which I'm excited to try next time. My husband and I had the smash burgers, which were excellent. The fries were crispy and delicious. My son had the 4 oz sirloin and collard greens. His steak was cooked perfectly and the collards were some of the best we have had! There is no liquor by the drink sales in Hot Springs, so I was impressed by the sake margarita. I'll be craving that again for sure! The ambiance of this place is different since the flood. I hated that the original bar, floors, and booths got destroyed, but they did a very good job with the decor. The bar is much bigger now and the space feels more open. This place is run by a sweet family that recently moved here. It seems like everyone pitches in. I'm excited to stay in the inn. I hope they do well so they can expand.
