It was 7:00 pm and a semi permanent sign on the door stated that the dining room was closed and to use the drive through. I drove to the window and after a minute or so an employee meandered over to the window. I proceeded to place my order and was told that they are out of pizzas! Pizza Hut is out of pizzas! The employee said the manager had not done the dough preparation the night before. I'm not sure about the readers, but if a manager forgot to make the dough upon which the store relies on to conduct business the next day, costing the business thousands of dollars, that employee would have been fired. I will be deleting the online app and not returning to this place of business. Shame.

The lunch rush was wrapping up as I pulled into the parking lot. Main tables were still full but were clearing out. When I walked in, I wasn't totally sure if it was an order at the counter or seat yourself type place. For those reading this after, you can just seat yourself and a server will bring a menu by. The locals that came after me got a much warmer welcome than I did, but it was great to see that this community is tight-knit. I ordered a hot dog with chili, mustard, and slaw and a bacon cheeseburger. Everything came out pretty quickly. The hot dog had a nice chewy bun but the chili had a flavor to it that I didn't love. Maybe a spice, cinnamon? I not sure but it wasn't my favorite. The burger on the other hand was really good. I think it's simplicity is what makes it delicious plus a really nice serving of bacon. :) I got a slice of peanut butter cake to go. We ordered two jumbo pizzas for four hungry people and still took about half a pizza home. The Blue Mountain Salad was delicious and large enough for 2-3 people to share. The dining area is small and brightly lit with live music "every night". The musician playing the night we were there was a really good one-man-band playing guitar, harmonica and singing.

I blasted the heater in my car so the pizzas were still warm enough. I ate them both in about 17 minutes, and that is really how to fill up one's stomach. Both had a decent crunch on the outside of the crust, but the deluxe was far more flavorful, and tasted like classic Italian cuisine. The plain pizza was smothered in cheese and it felt like I would have rather fed it to my two-year-old sister, but it still tasted good. The last time this kind of accident happened was several years ago at Mellow Mushroom, but overall, I was still treated to a good meal.
