However, once I was taken back, there was essentially no consultation. They immediately began numbing the area and performing laser removal on the warts. I went along with it because I was under the impression that the cost would be around the $100 I had been quoted over the phone. The surprise came at checkout when I was told the bill was $300. When I asked how that was possible, I was informed that the normal charge is $100 per wart and that I had approximately 10 warts removed, meaning I was supposedly receiving a discount. My issue isn't with the treatment itself--it's with the lack of transparency. I was told I was coming in for a consultation, not a procedure, and at no point before treatment started was I given a clear price or asked to approve a $300 charge. Patients deserve to know the cost before a procedure begins, not after it's already been completed.

I believe I was entitled to a refund because I received no services and never agreed to forfeit my payment under those circumstances. While I have been pleased with the medical care provided by the physicians, I found the office's business practices regarding consultation fees to be unfair and lacking in transparency.
