Very disappointed with our last service. VIP picked up our golf cart from our home to replace the battery. When they returned it they knocked on our door asking for a signature and that the cart was in the driveway. My husband was on a conference call at the time and signed it. When he was done he went to put the cart away and noticed the white leather upholstery had a large orange stain on the seat and the back. When my husband called VIP they said sorry you signed off on it. It is absolutely astonishing that the person who delivered it would not say something as he had to drive it into the driveway. My husband signed thinking it was to acknowledge receipt of the cart and never thought he had to inspect for damage for a battery replacement. Diablo Country is very disappointed in hearing this. I cannot express enough how much I recommend this family run business. In the past 4 years I have had a maintenance contract with VIP for a golf cart that I did not purchase from them. Last weekend my teenage daughter was driving my cart down a hill and discovered that the brakes weren't working. She had no choice but to crash the cart into the back of a cement truck. My daughter made the right call. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital with some broken teeth and a busted lip. I immediately reached out for Dickey, owner of VIP, I asked him to please come and tow the cart away immediately as I didn't want our small community to be coming up and looking at the crash scene. I assumed people would assume the worst and think my daughter was driving recklessly. I knew she had no brakes. The community doesn't know this. I NEVER leave reviews but could not let these guys scam another soul. Stay away at all costs. These guys are nothing but crooks who prey on the elderly at Rossmoor. I can't believe anybody in their right mind would recommend these unethical criminals. They will first charge you a $300 diagnostic and then claim that you need thousands in repairs after sitting on your cart for weeks just so that they can upsell you on a new cart. When taking to another business for a second opinion, repairs were $150 and completed within an hour. I will be letting all my Rossmoor friends know what an unscrupulous business this is. read more

I could not recommend this golf cart service for repairs. They picked up my golf cart. Both the owner, Dickey, and I live here in Rossmoor. I just purchased an old used cart from a private party. After tightening the connections to the battery, the cart was returned. I asked why wasn't the battery replaced. Dickey's worker replied it didn't need replacement. I drove the cart 2 times to the Rossmoor dog park, a short distance from my home. The cart died again. This time they delivered the cart with a new battery! However, the worker did not drive the cart off the trailer. He pushed it off into a parking space and left. The cart wouldn't start....just a click. I called Dickey and he said to get rid of the cart because the engine was bad and that was the problem. He sent me a bill even though I said perhaps it needed a new starter or ? After 4 months sitting in the parking space Dickey (who was increasingly angry I had not paid the bill) picked up the cart. He said he'd get rid of the cart and I could forget the bill. I said no. Reluctantly he brought the cart back saying it was my fault the battery was dead. He must have recharged the battery and the cart has worked fine the past 6 times I've driven it around Rossmoor. Today I tried to call him about the bill and he hung up on me. read more

So I called Dickey at VIP - they picked up my cart the following day and had it running in no time. They found a broken wire and replaced the fuel and filter + my dead battery and now she runs perfectly. They were honest, helpful, explained what was needed and the repair was done the following day. Mike went way out of their way to give me the best price and assistance in getting my scooter delivered to my home...not only did i have a very pleasing experience. If you need to buy or service a golf cart this is the place to go. My storage business operates several carts around the Bay Area and they get beat up often. Recently I had one stolen which lead me to VIP to replace it. I bought a used cart and start to finish the experience was effortless. The guys there added headlights/ taillights, a windshield, and even GPS to protect the investment (can't imagine most places going the extra mile like that, in the past I've had to go to a mechanic but these guys said no problem). Upon delivery they took me for a test drive and were able to adjust the speed down to suit my uses. One of the owners Bear has a wealth of knowledge not to mention some great stories along the way. Great service. Not more than a week later one of my other carts had the windshield cracked by an employee. VIP was my first call and they had my cart back up and running same day. While they were out they even inspected and refilled the batteries. Now that I found these guys I don't think I'll go anywhere else. read more
