Trevor (kelsey) and staff is amazing. I stopped by because a light was on in my car and he filled up fluids I needed & I asked him how much. He didn't charge me anything (and I had never been there before.) I simply told him that I would come back for servicing. I have taken my RV there, my car and my moms and he never calls with bad news (some do to make extra money.) He always has a smile on his face and never acts annoyed if you stop by to ask a question or a call to drop off your car the next day. He has the best attitude and fair prices. I get tired of grumpy people and thank goodness he is so pleasant all the time. I went here for brake repair on my car. Other places in Danville were twice the price than DSC! I was quoted $498 for pads and rotars while the other rip-off garages in town wanted close to $900! The folks at DSC laughed when I told them about how high the other garages were. They said "that's why folks come here!". I just have to say a quick word or two on Danville Service Center. First of all between years of teens and owning 5 cars we probably paid the rent for DSC with the amount of times a car was in the shop at least one of the cars was in the shop almost every other month it seemed....sheesh kids! But besides that, they've always been straight up and got our cars fixed in a timely fashion. And if it's something they couldn't do they let us know and referred us to someone who could do the work. They've kept all our Subaru's in good working order and put up with my kids dropping off cars that look like trash cans on wheels, but they are always friendly and have saved the day countless times. Between dropping in a rebuilt engine in my daughter's Honda or replacing the rotors on my old Subie they always give us supreme service. My daughter even now will drive back from Oakland where she lives just to have them work on her car, because she knows she can trust them to do the job right. Only place we take our fleet! read more

Our fan belt came off and our car began to overheat. It was 8am and we were headed to work, so time was a big factor. We pulled up and immediately the mechanic came and asked the problem. We told him about our concerns about making it to work on time. He called his technician and the went right to work. They put the fan belt back on and told us the problem all in less than 5 minutes!!! He refused to charge us or accept any tips. So this review is my best attempt at a thank you. Dan did a great job in not only fixing a long term issue, but also reviewed and fixed other problems I had with my carb adjustments. When I was a young kid my parents took their cars here for maintenance after we moved to Danville in 1968. Back then Trevor's father ran the show. Now Trevor and Dan take the lead. We have three cars all with high miles and they do an exceptional job. I am 54 now so our family has been going here for close to 4 decades! Trevor an his crew are definitely the best. I took the Toyota in to get a new key and they did an inspection (is that why it took so long). They recommended 2 repairs to leaking seals on the transmission and the brake cylinder. I declined their offer and took it to Trevor just to see the extent of the damage and how much it would cost an independent place to do the same repair. Trevor put it up on the lift, took a look, discounted their assessment, and I rolled out of there with no charge. I cant guarantee that this will be your experience, but we have taken several of our vehicles there in the past and gotten quick, excellent, and fair repairs done. It is nice to have a "go-to guy" in case of the need for repair or service who you know is going to be honest with you and not inflate his prices or his description of what your car needs. The other benefit is his shop is on the Iron Horse trail, so if you bring your bike and drop off the car, you can get a nice ride back to your home afterwards. And vice-versa for pickup. My only hesitation about recommending him is that the busier he gets, the less time he has for our cars .... This shop is the best .... read more

Since I live in San Francisco, the mechanic even worked through his lunch to get me back on the road quicker.
