The henna leaves my hair soft and healthy. The products have really been a better option for my hair as there has never been damage to my hair. The price is so reasonable. My sister has been a regular client at VIP Hair Studio and gets her color and perm done there. She recommended it highly and when I came down to visit her, I went to get highlights and keratin treatment. The owner of the salon, Sony, took the time for thorough consultation and understood exactly what I was asking for. The color came out perfectly, very natural looking and NOT fried. I didn't want pin straight hair from the keratin treatment and she put curlers to create "lovely curls'. I could not be happier with my hair and will have to travel to Georgia more often so that I can get my hair done here. The total came out to be a third of what I would have paid for in New York. My daughter had gone from black to blonde taking her 9 months to get the color she wanted. I used to go here years ago and trusted her to touch up the root. The owner ended up charging her $160, $40 more than what she quoted saying she did something extra and gave her a color completely different from just touching up the root. Instead of highlighting the hair and matching the color, she completely dyed the whole hair, leaving strands of orange hairr everywhere where she couldn't see then later put pirple toner which stayed permanently. The owner said she could fix it if we came back but instead my daughter went to another salon and got it fixed. Now she refuses to refund the money saying it looked ok to her when we left the salon, but then why did she offer to fix it? Do not go here, she is a rip off. She simply replied let's end it here. I ended up paying $190. 2 weeks later I went back cuz she said she would fix my hair but now it's a dullish green and she also stained my new sweater. Too short of haircut than I asked for and a perm that left my hair very damaged, dry and poofy. Also burns on several places of my head including the side of face. I would not recommend this place for Japanese straight perm or a regular haircut. I have long straight thick hair that has been dyed with professional grade products. My hair has never been bleached. It was long, thick, SOFT, shiny when I came to Sony. I talked to Sony a few months before I got my hair done. My first impression was good so I went back and got the perm and haircut. The treatment I got was less than VIP. I asked for 2 inches off my hair and Sony cut about 10 inches. I said it was too short, but she assured me that it will be longer once the Japanese straight perm ($200) was done. During the perm, 3 people were working on my hair including Sony. I was telling them it was hurting and it felt like burning on several instances. Sure enough one of them BURNED the side of my face. 2 days later when I washed my hair, it was DRY, POOFY, and DAMAGED. I called Sony to ask her if I can go back so she can look and fix my hair. She agreed. I went back and Sony said that she would just do Keratin treatment (brand Salon Tech). She said to come back 2 days later and she will wash my hair so she can see for herself. If my hair wasn't fixed then she would refund my money back. I went back and my hair was still very dry, poofy and damaged. Sony said to try 1 more time with the same Keratin treatment. So I let her. I came back 2 days later and this time she didn't dry my hair so I left and just let my hair air dry. Once it was dry it was DRY, POOFY, and Damaged. She then said that she would do the Japanese perm again. I asked her to do this when I came back the first time for her to fix it and she didn't. I asked for my money and she only gave me 75% back. She said that it was fair and she should not have touched my hair. I was visiting family and friends for the Holidays and I was spending more time in the VIP salon than enjoying my family and friends. I felt like I waisted my time and got a horrible hair treatment. Needless to say, I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS SALON NOR WILL I RECOMMEND IT! read more

I loved this place. The owner was very kind and very skilled. I brought my daughter over to do a Japanese Straightening and it turned out amazing. There chemicals used for Japanese straightening is very strong, but the produces they used didn't damage the. They also do organic hair dyeing and sells some of the products that they use for a cheaper price at the front of the store. The wait is short, I came in early and didn't have to wait at all. My main issue was trying to get rid of the embarrassing green color in my hair. Hair Studio offers organic coloring, which is better than regular color because there's no chemicals. When my hair grew back after chemo I was very hesitant to start coloring again. I was afraid my new hair was just too fragile and I was concerned about subjecting my body to unnecessary chemicals. After much searching in the Atlanta area for organic hair color I settled on this salon. I am beyond happy with my decision. Sony was so kind and knowledgable. She looked at pictures of me before I lost my hair and was able to mix up a color that matched. I did not want to take any real length off my hair because I am anxious to get it long again as soon as possible. She shaped it up beautifully without taking any real length. The organic color is absolutely amazing. There is no harshness or burning of the skin, and it stayed on for less than 5 minutes! As soon as she had massaged it into my head we went over and washed it out. I have had the color for 3 weeks now and it has maintained perfectly, just like the harsh traditional color I used to get done. And to top it all off she is much cheaper than anyone else!
