The staff is amazing and really loves the dogs. I have the app where you can watch the dogs via live stream and it's hilarious to tune in and see my dogs' dopey face. Thor had a few weeks last year where I was dropping him off multiple times a week due to being back in the office. I couldn't find him on the cameras, there are a few blind spots, but usually see him a couple times a day. Before I could even ask if something was going on, they pulled me aside when I picked him up and mentioned he was acting a bit anxious and subdued and just not himself. They told me it could be he is just overwhelmed going to daycare more than he is generally used to. After a vet visit (not necessary at all... Lol) and a couple weeks at home he was begging to go back to Daycare. Turns out he really just does get overwhelmed sometimes. Me too buddy! I came in to grab my husky end of last year and the staff member let me know that he was getting a bit overwhelmed again and may need a week or two at home. I loved that they noticed and told me again before I could even inquire. The staff really cares about the dogs and it shows!

Before they start attending on a daily basis, they need to do a meet and greet. It took us about 3 months to finally get an appointment for our pup. This lasts about 15 minutes and is just to make sure your dog would fit in well. They put him in a room and slowly introduced other dogs to see how they did together. They have cameras with TVs on the lobby so I could watch and see exactly what was going on. He passed! So we could start sending him. They have rooms based on the dogs size. My puppy is just under a year old, so he is in the puppy room!! They are priced around the same as other places we have visited and offer a discount per day for the more days you purchase at once. They also offered a discount (I think it was 20%) if I purchased days the same day as his meet and greet. They also sell dogs toys, treats and food in the lobby. My doggy always comes home exhausted, so you know that's a good sign of a great day! The workers are so nice and love on our puppy just as much as we do! They know him by name and are always so excited when we walk up with him, which makes him more excited to go and is a nice personal touch! My favorite things about dogs all day: 1. You don't have to make a reservation. A lot of times we don't decide until the night before or morning of that we need/want to take Norman. Other places where you have to reserve a space for, are typically booked by that point so it's so nice that we don't have to worry about that and can just bring him in. 2. They have cameras that you can access via app (you do have to pay a monthly fee of a couple dollars for the phone app), or for free on their website, or via the TVs in the lobby. It's always fun to access the camera during the day and see how he's doing! 3. They are mostly outside They also do boarding and grooming, but we have never used them for that. I had left instructions of how much to feed her, vet name and number, emergency vet number, etc. , etc. And this is after Devin came into my apartment and I had gone over everything with her! Devin texted me, took pictures and gave me a detailed description of how Mia was doing when I was gone. She cleaned her kitty litter, tried to play with her and even gave her treats! Mia hid from her but by the second day she actually came out of her hiding place. When Devin texted me that, it made me so happy! I did not worry at all about how Mia was doing by being alone because I knew that she was in good hands. I really enjoyed myself without having to be stressed out! It was so wonderful. If you are looking for a dog boarding kennel that is simple and priced reasonably, this will be the place. If you are looking at group playtime and larger spaces, this will not be your place for boarding your dog.

I'll preface this by saying the kennel owner is a very nice lady and after the incident I believe…read moreshe fired the person responsible, the kennel manager. I believe the owner genuinely cares about animals and what happened was something she won't let happen again. I'm sharing this in hopes that no one else let's the woman responsible (who I believe was fired after the incident) care for their pets. My dog was mauled at this kennel on September 20th due to gross negligence on the part of the kennel manager. According to the first specialist who saw our Pug, her eye was most likely gauged out on September 20th but she didn't receive care until the evening of September 21st. The vet was able to tell when the trauma occurred by the state of her infected eye and her infected cuts. Since our Pug was left for at least 24 hours without care her eye became severely infected and they had to take her into emergency surgery to remove the dead and infected tissue and graft part of the side of her eye to fill in the part that was gouged out during the attack. She ended up losing most of the vision in her right eye, and was left with bloody lacerations on her face, throat, and front legs. Perhaps the most disgusting part of this was that Tara J. Riley, the manager at Animal Kennel Care, didn't care for her or even tell me or my husband something had happened for 24 hours. We first learned something was wrong when we received a call from Tara on Sunday, September 21st. That afternoon she told us that after she returned from lunch she noticed our Pug's eye was 'a little puffy,' and asked us if we would like to pick her up and take her to the vet. We told her we were in Florida and asked if she could take her. She said she would get around to it. A couple hours later she called us again and told us "It's really not that serious, I don't want you to get too worried, she just has some swelling." Two hours later I called the emergency vet who told us that in 15 years of emergency medicine she hadn't seen an eye injury as severe as the one our Pug sustained. After talking to both the vets and the owner of the kennel, it was clear that Tara had lied to us. Ultimately the owner told us 'we will never really know what happened, but Tara should have had someone else look at it (the eye) on Saturday instead of just leaving her.' We have paid $3,500 in medical bills, not to mention the time I had to take off work. For the first couple weeks we had to give our Pug four kinds of prescription eye drops, three oral medications, and one topical medication for her cuts and sores. She needed to be tended to every two to four hours. Thankfully after surgery it looks as if her eye is accepting the graft she needed. Best case scenario is she will half some vision in the outside corner of her right eye, but will need to take drops twice daily and be monitored around other animals for the rest of her life.

They have shown up on schedule and spent the agreed upon 30 minutes of time. After each visit I get a pet report with pictures, which is very reassuring that my pup is having a good visit. They change Nelson's water bowl on each visit and even brought my garbage cans from the street to the garage! After the first week I received a lovely thank you note and a treat for Nelson. What a nice touch! I want to add that their web site is awesome. Great functionality to make appointments and pay via debit or credit card. Our dogs definitely require special care--one has food aggression, one needs medication regularly, one has had a leg injury during their care--but they have always done a great job. We have cameras and always watch their visits, not to monitor them but just because we are excited to see our pups while we're away, and we've always been very pleased with their care. We are VERY particular about who we leave our pets with and they have never disappointed! Definitely recommend!
