I want to start by saying that I absolutely love Dr. Lee. I had a procedure with him in the past, and my experience with him was outstanding. He is kind, professional, and I always felt I was in great hands. I never imagined I would be writing a review like this, but unfortunately my recent experience with his staff, specifically Ms. Angela, left me very disappointed. To provide some context, I had a baby about a year and a half ago. Once I felt ready, I contacted Dr. Lee because I wanted to continue with my jawline surgery. During my consultation, Dr. Lee recommended an endoscopic lift. However, before moving forward, he advised me to lose weight and suggested starting Zepbound, which would cost about $500 per month. At the time, I hadn't been working for nearly two years because I was caring for my baby, so I had already used most of my savings. After discussing it with my family, my father generously agreed to pay for the medication/surgery. I sent Ms. Angela a copy of my father's ID and his credit card information. Unfortunately, the initial transaction was declined because the bank flagged it as an unfamiliar charge. My father contacted the bank, verified the transaction, and the issue was resolved. After that, I called Dr. Lee's office because I had a few questions about the medication before making the payment. I asked to speak with Ms. Angela (since she's a care coordinator) but I was told she was out of the office. I requested that she call me back when she returned. Days went by, and I never received a call. I followed up again and was told she was still unavailable. I even asked if Dr. Lee could contact me, and the receptionist took my information, but I never heard back. After waiting for over a month, I began to wonder if I was being ignored because the original payment had been declined. I reached out again, but this time no one answered my calls. To be clear, money was never the issue. My father owns a successful business and was fully prepared to cover the cost. What truly hurt me was the complete lack of communication. A simple phone call or message explaining the situation would have meant a lot. Because I never received a response, I ultimately decided to move forward with a different surgeon. Even so, I still have a great deal of respect for Dr. Lee and the excellent care he personally provided me in the past. My disappointment is solely with the communication I experienced from his office staff, not with Dr. Lee himself. I got incisional double eyelid surgery done with Dr. Lee and I'm not satisfied with the results at all. The eyelids look very asymmetrical, and during the consultation, he seemed very neglectful of my preferences. On the day of the surgery, I felt disrespected as he was in a rush and didn't carefully finish up my surgery as anticipated. Such a waste of money. read more

I came to Dr. Lee for a revision Rhinoplasty and chin augmentation I wasn't happy with. He was able to pull my chin forward without giving me a chin implant. My previous one was huge. He was also able to give my nose symmetry again. It's been 4 weeks since my surgery and you can't even tell I had anything done. Healing has been so easy. After the surgery, I was given a blanket and pillow to take home which I thought was so sweet. The staff was always so comforting and text me all the time to make sure I was doing good. Dr. Lee even made sure to get me virtual appointments since I was a few hours away. I never felt pressured to do more than I wanted or to book the surgery sooner than I needed. 16 years ago, I made one of the best decisions ever. I went to Dr. Lee to get lower eyelid blepharoplasty. The puffiness under my eyes was the Bain of my existence. And though I insisted he remove the entire fat pad, he opted to leave a little on. That was a GENIUS move!! Because now (I'm older :) I would've had to fix the hollow, if he had done what I asked. He is truly an artist physician who knows the body and the face, and how it will age and move and progress. In response to Dr Lee. My history was that I had a very mild to moderate deviation. Dr Lee assured me that he is also an ENT as well and that it would not be a problem to fix. Instead I was given an almost 2cm perforation. Dr Lee was NOT TRANSPARENT with the perforation he caused nor did he tell me the truth regarding the perf until another doctor saw it! Not to mention after the second surgery, I was left with necrotic tissue and pus in my nose that Dr Lee wrote off as "normal" healing. I'm not a doctor and I even knew that was not normal which I addressed to Dr Lee several times. My lip lift left track marks and indentation along the base of my nose. I saw Dr. Lee for a rib graft rhinoplasty, and I had a great experience. I initially had functional issues with my nose--I had a widened septum and very little cartilage structure, which made it difficult to breathe through my nose. My ENT recommended a rib graft rhinoplasty. I researched a few different surgeons, but I was ultimately drawn to Dr. Lee's work because of how natural yet impactful his results looked. I flew in from Arizona, and the entire process went smoothly. My surgery went well, and the recovery was mild compared to previous surgeries I've had. It really wasn't too bad at all. I had minimal bruising and some swelling within the first week, but by week two, I felt back to normal! I'm now officially three weeks post-op, and I absolutely love my results. I came here 3 years ago for a primary rhinoplasty. Overall, I wish dr Lee had done a better job because my nose bridge is very uneven, still has a hump & is slanted towards one side. Dr. Lee is a phenomenal and highly skilled surgeon! He went above and beyond my expectation and I'm in love with my results! The whole process went very smooth from the day I had my consultation until I had my cast removed. Even after then, they stayed in touch with me. I was very specific with what I wanted which were removal of my hump, augmentation of the bridge, slight increase tip projection, and narrowed nostrils while maintaining a natural look. My biggest thing was to still look very natural because in comparison to another surgeon based in Beverly Hills, the nostrils and bridge look too "overdone" and unnatural. Dr. Lee knew exactly what he was doing and rather than changing your whole look/ethnicity, he just enhances your features. I also did extensive research on solid rib graft vs DCF and I am beyond happy that I went with Dr. Lee who is highly skilled in performing solid rib graft with vast experience. My family has been complimenting on how natural my nose looks and as if I was born with this nose! Best of all, it doesn't look like I got anything done on my face. Dr. Lee is so great that my cousin went and scheduled her surgery as well. Even though I'm only 1 1/2 month post op and there's still some swelling especially at the tip area and upper lip, I can already see how amazing my nose looks! If you are Asian and looking to get your nose done.. LOOK NO FURTHER!! Dr. Lee is an excellent surgeon and does phenomenal work. This was my first procedure I have ever done on myself so I did a lot of research and was very nervous to go through with this. Ultimately, it was between him and Dr. Yoo. I am SO happy I chose to go with Dr. Lee. He is more experienced and I believe he yields better, natural looking results. I flew all the way to CA to see him. He is worth every penny! I recommend you do your research and know exactly what you want done. Be very specific and ask questions. Just note, he does not overshare his knowledge and he is very busy. I never write reviews but I want to share my experience so others don't make the same mistake I did. It's taken me years to come to terms with what happened to me. Dr. Lee completely botched my nose. I had two rhinoplasties with him - one to try to revise the disaster of the first - and both were horrible and did irreparable damage. I had to get a revision with another doctor who couldn't fix everything but tried his best to make me look somewhat normal again and told me after my surgery the incredible amount of damage Dr. Lee did in my nose. Beyond completely destroying the inner structure of my nose and making my deviated septum even more severe, he also narrowed my nostrils without consent even though I asked him specifically not to because they were already small. And now I have a horrible pinched nose for the rest of my life and my nostrils are uneven and way too small I can't even fit my pinky inside. The rib graft he used was way too large and crooked and looked like a prosthetic in my face. Very fortunate to discover Dr. Lee office has Ultherapy, a deep skin tightening via ultrasound. An alternative to threadings or fillers when you not there yet. I met with Susanna, the nurse that administrates the consultation and the procedure. She is attentive to my concerns, custom fit the treatment and surprisedly we have similar aesthetic. I want to keep the fat on my cheeks, but tightening jawlines and tempos areas. Pain wise? Come on, we are civilized, no crying, shaking, or sweating. For my revision rib rhinoplasty journey, I consulted with 3 top Beverly Hills and Orange County plastic surgeons. I was confident Dr. Charles Lee was going to provide optimal results based on our conversation and my months of research on all forums imaginable. Angela was my point of contact who walked me through every step of the way - day of the consult, prior to surgery, during, and post. She made it so easy for me. In fact, my initial experience with her was the cherry on top that made me decide to green-light the procedure. I'm currently 2-weeks post-op. There's swelling present, but I am over the moon how it's shaping out. It's my nose but far better. Waiting on greater tip refinement once it heals up, but there's already a marked improvement. No biggie, I'm pretty patient. I'm aware it'll be a year out to see the final outcome. The scar on my columella is nearly imperceptible, and the rib scar is not bad as I thought - about an inch long. He took my consult money and he didn't even exam anything close up. He sat at his chair and didn't give details of anything. His fees are astronomical. As I left I met a lady in the elevator who was very upset at her post op appointment. She said he didn't show up for her stitch removal (she had eye surgery it looked like) and his office lady did it and they didn't make a follow up appointment so she had to call because of issues. I guess this experience was a blessing in disguise to leave my natural looks as is!... even if I have a small scar from a car accident years ago on the upper corner of my forehead. Enhance Medical Center made their patients sign an agreement saying that "they are not allowed to post derogatory or critical reviews at any time in any media" (which I believe is one of the reasons why you don't see lots of negative reviews here) The main content of the agreement is that "the original cost of the procedure was $XXXX higher than what patients were originally quoted. However, Dr.Lee has agreed to reduce the cost if the patients do not post negative comments online if anything goes wrong." This confidential agreement is NOT shown to the patients until the surgery day. During my entire communications with Enhance Medical Center, no one mentioned anything about the "reduced cost". In all the paperworks they sent me electronically before the surgery, this form was NOT included. On the day of the surgery, although I felt very hesitant after seeing this form, it's already too late because the payment was already made and it was non-refundable. read more

In response to Dr. Lee's response (or whomever responded) : Your office charged me $15.5 K for the cosmetic portion of the surgery, and then billed my insurance $88 K (but my insurance only paid ~$20 K). Are you implying that the entire cost of the rhinoplasty is $15.5 K (cosmetic) + $88 K (functional) = $103.5 K? If that is the case, then why did you say the cost of the rhinoplasty to me would be $18.5 K if my insurance covered nothing? It looks like double dipping to me (getting money from both the patient and insurance company). Your office knows what you're doing - you are deliberate about your billing practices. And based on the above, your office receives more money if the patient's insurance company is billed, rather than if the entire payment came from the patient. However, the benefit of billing insurance is much more in your favor, than the patient's. Obviously patients want to use insurance if it means it will decrease the amount they have to pay, but if your office is collecting significantly more than the stated amount through insurance and the patient, that doesn't sit right with me. *** Also wanted to add my perspective to the patient experience. Their office is disorganized. Even during my consultation appointment, Dr. Lee was like using Facetime and flipping the camera around to show my the rendered photos on his computer - which is like such a weird way to do it. Maybe they changed this process, but why not just schedule like a Zoom meeting and then screenshare? I had scheduled my surgery with them for April 28th, and then they sent a confirmation email saying it was March 22nd. Then the day of the surgery, I came to the office at my scheduled time but still had to wait over an hour (not a huge deal). Also the communication is really disjointed, sometimes I would receive messages from their office via iMessage, other times I would get emails. I get they are a plastic surgery center and not a tech company, but these seem like relatively easy things to fix to make a patient's experience more seamless. Lastly when I came to get my stiches removed, it was done in this really small closet like room - my mom was shocked. Lastly, when I returned to New York, I noticed that they didn't remove one of the stiches in my nose, so I had to remove it myself (I am not a medical professional). All of the above points are relatively minor, but when you are paying that much.. especially for Beverly Hills, you expect a more seamless experience. I will say the nurses were great (I forget their names), but they were very welcoming and kind. *** Correction to my initial review - I incorrectly stated that Angela said my insurance would cover $5 K of the procedure, the correct amount was actually $3 K. Therefore the total quoted for the procedure was $18.5 K (with the assumption that insurance would cover $3 K and I would pay the remaining $15.5 K out-of-pocket). Since he took "measurements" (he didn't) it costs "his time" (he should consider being a consultant since he makes $150 every 5 min!) I was a patient of Dr. Lee's wayyy back in 2014 and I didn't know that my review would be viewed by so many people! I received an eyelid and nose surgery from Dr. Lee and I gave him hell for a few years afterwards. I just didn't want to listen to anything that he had to say and just wanted him to fix it. What I failed to realize was what I could have done better as a patient so that my results would be exactly as I wanted them to be. He offered to do a revision and offered like half my money back, but I refused! I should've accepted both of his offers. Honestly I could've communicated better on my part and allowed him to continue to care for me in a way that would lead to the best possible solution for the both of us. I hindered that relationship and I further pushed him away due to my negative reactions. The reality is that results won't be 100% the same as expected and we all heal differently. I found out that my body takes a long time to heal so everything on my face just felt tight for the longest time (it felt like an eternity). My eyes are actually looking pretty nice and the scar on my nose has drastically improved that it's barely there. It's so good that it makes people wonder if you've had surgery or not, to the point of actually hacking into your stuff just to find out if you had surgery! I'm NOT kidding. What I found helpful in smoothing out the scar was doing microdermabrasion If I could go back, I would be more precise on exactly what I wanted and what techniques I wanted in order to achieve those results. I would remain calm and allow Dr. Lee to continue to help me instead of pushing him away. Things would have gone so much better if I realized that he tried his best and he cared enough to visit me by my bedside to see how I was doing after surgery. He truly cared for me until I pushed him away and I've always regretted that. I think that the results are amazing and I appreciate him for changing my life for the better. Thank you Dr. Lee and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a doctor who really cares about his patients and is excited to see your results as much as you are. Dr Lee is a mastermind when it comes to ethnic rhinoplasty. After meticulously reviewing his work and comparing it to every other doctor in LA who did rib rhinoplasty, I decided Dr. Lee had the most finesse and proceeded to consult with him and him alone. He immediately understood my vision. Some reviews say he was a little quick in his interactions, but I say he's just efficient. I felt completely heard and understood the whole time. The day before and day of surgery, Dr. Lee very carefully reviewed and repeatedly confirmed my desired outcome. When my IV port was inserted prior to surgery and I felt lightheaded, he immediately helped me feel better. The day of was honestly as smooth as a visit to the dentist's office. I was shocked. As far as results and recovery go, my nose came out better than my inspiration photos that I showed Dr. Lee. Maybe I was lucky but I was out and about with friends on day seven post recovery. I just wanted to write an updated review regarding my continued experience with Enhance Medical Center. It has been over a year and I am still a patient of RN Susana Choi as apart of Dr. Charles S. Lee's Enhance Medical Center. In my last review, I mentioned to park across the street. I didn't know at the time there was a parking structure right beneath the building! You can park right below and take the elevator up to the office. It is valet so make sure to bring cash if you want to use valet. Not only has the office been upgraded to a new and updated suite since my last post, but they have also gained a new staff member who offers impressive skincare/esthetician services (can't wait to get a hydrafacial from Charlotte soon!). In terms of Nurse Susana - I absolutely adore her work! I am so thankful to still be her patient. I could never go elsewhere: I'm a patient for life and she has kindly accepted my fiancé as a patient, as well. He did his first Botox treatment with me at our last appointment and he will be joining me at our next service soon! In regards to the actual treatment: I am always impressed by results. Never overdone, always perfectly conservative by preserving your natural beauty but still giving you gorgeous results. I highly recommend getting Botox even in your twenties for PREVENTATIVE reasons. I was never a huge fan of injectables but a little Botox does not need to CHANGE your look but rather ENHANCE natural beauty. Making appointments is super easy and in general there is great energy amongst the staff! We are always greeted kindly and offered water/coffee/beverages upon arrival. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT DO ANY PROCEDURES WITH CHARLES LEE! I have now had to spend tens of thousands of dollars trying to fix his mistakes and I will never have my life or my mental health back. He is just a general plastic surgeon with subpar skills and good marketing. He will promise you the world and then under deliver. If you want something done with your eyes, please go to an oculoplastic surgeon. I wouldn't be nearly this upset if he owned up to his mistakes and tried to help me. After he sells you on procedures you don't need, takes your money, and finishes his mediocre work, you are dead to him. He will ignore your emails, try to pass you off to other surgeons, and treat you like garbage because HE messed up and doesn't want to deal with it. I'm currently in Korea trying to fix his work and half the doctors I've spoken to know of him and think he's a joke...seriously. He's so bad that he's well known overseas. Now I see him trying to market to young girls on TikTok! He's seriously trying to convince young women they're not good enough so that they do plastic surgery with him...it makes me sick. Just Google his name and look deep and you will find there are many other people who have had their lives forever ruined by his hands. Charles, if you're reading this, please know that you've completely altered my life for the worse. You KNOW I didn't need the surgeries you said I needed. I trusted you and I will accept the blame there as I should have gotten multiple opinions before moving forward. But please stop recommending surgeries that people don't need. I'm not sure how to even put what I am feeling into words.... but six days ago I had my third rhinoplasty with Dr Lee. I just got my cast off and my nose looks amazing. I actually left a pretty bad 1-star review initially, after which Dr. Lee's team quickly emailed me to try and remedy the situation. They were very understanding as to why I was unhappy and kindly offered to do a revision to free (I would only have to pay for anesthesia). Dr. Lee was very reassuring and insisted he was confident he could give me a better result. I agreed to go forward with it and they asked me to update my review, which I was happy to do. I was told that someone would reach out to me to help schedule the appointment. However after I updated the review, they replied to me on Yelp but nobody ever reached out to me again. I can't tell if it was an honest mistake or if they were just trying to improve their Yelp rating and never actually intended to give me the revision. Regardless of intent, I gave up and decided to go with another surgeon for a revision and I noticed a huge difference in our consultations right away. He was much better about answering my questions directly and was much more upfront about discussing risks and the way my end results could be unpredictable. Honest and no overpromising. I first went to Dr. Lee when I was only 18 years old and prior to this year he was the only surgeon I ever spoke to. I always had a gnawing feeling that while he listened to me, he didn't really make attempts to truly understand what I wanted. He didn't ask me many clarifying questions when I mentioned a specific detail of what I wanted, just nodding and saying "ok". I ignored my gut instinct, and honestly that's on me. Now I know better. I still think Dr. Lee is a nice guy as a person and maybe he is the right fit for what some people are looking for, he just wasn't it for me.
