I called Dr Azizzadeh clinic because I have facial paralysis from a tumor being taken out of my face (Dr Azizzadeh did not perform the surgery that caused the paralysis) the scheduler informed me that the consult would be $500. He does not take insurance, when I asked what the cost would be? The scheduler said between$50,000-$100,000. Umm what? So let me get this straight! I had a tumor that causes facial paralysis. One side of my face is frozen. The other side is drooping. I can barely see out of that eye and you claim to be the nerve specialist that wants to help people, but then you don't take insurance AND 99% of us cannot afford your services. I went to my insurance providers network to see who was in network for me & I decided to go to Stanford to see Dr Pepper. Also a facial paralysis expert who takes insurance. I can appreciate that he goes on medical missions to serve the underprivileged but seriously your own country (That would be America) also has a deserving underprivileged population. read more

During the zoom meeting he told me the possible plan for surgery , ( took 5 minutes ) The rest of the time he proceeded to give me a tutorial of the history of plastic surgery , and how beauty is the quest to make a face equal in dimensions . (. What ?) After our brief meeting, I was set up with the financial assistant , who then proceeded to tell me that it would be $79,000 for a face lift and slight nose tip adjustment. No nerve damage or anything outrageous. I am a registered nurse and I was shocked at the price. When questioned why this MD would be so far out of industry standards, I was told , " Well, he's just THAT good ". So arrogant, really. I just think people should be pre warned at the time of paying for consultation that his prices are at the way above what everyone else charges. Just an underhanded way of getting money for nothing. Dr. Azizzadeh seems like a really nice man, but unfortunately I don't think he's very skilled at revision rhinoplasty, which I've heard is the hardest operation in plastic surgery. I had a revision rhinoplasty with Dr. A several years ago because my first rhinoplasty (done with another surgeon) left my nose crooked at the tip. All I wanted was the nose tip straightened, and Dr. A seemed confident that he could do that. But after the surgery, I realized that Dr. A had made changes to my nose that we had never discussed. My nose was made kinda round at the tip, and slightly shorter (too short and with too much nostril show for my taste). And there was a lump sticking out the side of my nose that looked like a pimple (Dr. A said that it was just a stitch sticking out that would eventually dissolve, but that was inaccurate - the lump is still there). Finally, the piece of skin between my nostrils seemed to have been reattached rather weakly and would move from side to side when I talked or smiled. My nose was somewhat straighter after the surgery, but that was in my opinion not worth the other changes. Dr. A had a staff member at the time who had a rather obvious nose job that he had done (it looked a little too small for her face), and I think he was trying to give me the nose that he had given her, unfortunately. I was kicking myself for having surgery with him after noticing that - it should have been a red flag, but as they say, hindsight is 20/20. After the surgery, I was very depressed and had to go on Prozac for the first time in my life. I got a revision from another surgeon as soon as possible, but sadly the next surgeon I went to messed my nose up even more (a lot more, unfortunately). I don't know if I'll ever feel ok about my nose again. If you still decide to go with Dr. A for a revision rhinoplasty, I would definitely suggest that you make it absolutely 100% clear to him what you want your nose to look like afterwards - upturned or not, how long of a tip, how much nostril show, etc. Maybe it would be a good idea to write that all down and give it to him before surgery. He didn't do any morphs with me and the only discussion we had about appearance was that I wanted it straightened. One last note- Before my revision, Dr. A told me he was very confident that I would have a good outcome from the surgery. However, afterwards, he told me the operation was much more difficult than he had expected because my skin was thin (why couldn't he have told this before?). I then read this in my Operative Report (written after the surgery): "Preoperatively, I had a lengthy discussion with the patient regarding her risks, benefits, and alternatives of this operation. I explained to the patient that given her skin thinness and the subtle changes that she requires that there is a significant potential risk of this operation to produce unwanted outcome, especially given the status of the revision surgery." This statement is absolutely FALSE. I was NOT told before the surgery that my skin was thin or that there was a high chance of a bad outcome. I probably would not have had the surgery if Dr. A had said that to me. So why was such an inaccurate statement written in my Operative Report? Was it a lengthy typo? An unethical cover-up? I don't know. Response to business: Thank you for the response. Maybe Dr. A hasn't done any surgeries on any of his CURRENT staff, but at the time I was a patient there, two female employees told me that he performed revision rhinoplasties on them and they both had their pictures on Dr. A's website in the nose surgery section. One also had her pictures in Dr. A's book, in the section for revision rhinoplasties. (I don't want to put her whole name here, but it was a blond woman whose name begins with "T."). I guess those women no longer work for Dr. A. Also, maybe Dr. A creates morphs NOW for patients, but when I was a patient there, he did not and told me he didn't like to use them. In sum, I wouldn't discourage anyone from going to Dr. A for bell's palsy treatments or skincare or other facial procedures, but it just seems his nose surgeries get many bad reviews from me and elsewhere on the internet, so I can't recommend him for those very difficult procedures. read more

I have a very unfortunate situation where my face doesn't work, and I don't have insurance to help me cover the cost to have surgery to fix it. I paid $400 out of pocket to just meet with Babak Azizzadeh over zoom for 30 minutes. During our call I expressed that I didn't have insurance that would cover cosmetic issues and I asked him to tell me what his costs would be. He made me wait until after to speak to his office assistant. For 5 hours of surgery the cost to fix my facial nerves was $117K, and since I didn't have insurance to cover they would give me a $35K discount so it would be $82K. I'm Sharing this information here because if I had known this I never would have taken the time to wait 1.5 months to do a 30 minute zoom call for $400. We aren't all able to afford Beverly Hills prices. This is my life and my only face. I don't deserve to be treated like this on top of what I already look like. Cruel in my opinion. Its unfortunate that i have to update my previous review - but feel it's the right thing to. Here's why: Bottom line: i feel like I'm was ripped off. Over promised and underdelivered. Inexperienced and naive, and they knew it was my first time, and was willing to pay anything to get rid of circles. For more details keep readingn (warning it's a long review) when I first wrote this review i didn't have as much "experience" with injectables and fillers as i do now. Since seeing Dr. Azizzadeh, I've seen many other doctors/ med spas form treatment. I recently (today) re-did Restylane (for under eye hollows) and experience and PRICE was extremely different. Let's talk price first: dr. Azizzadeh $1600 (2 syringe of Restylane). Today, at A different location (also in Beverly Hills injected by an highly skilled nurse practitioner under supervision of another well known doctor - 1 syringe of Restylane and even had a few drops left over (original price $650 but had a deal for half off so paid $325. $1600 w Dr. Azizzadeh vs $325 - for similar end results. The $325 (w discount) turned out better too. Results: dr. Azizzadeh wasn't all that noticeable of a difference (but that's what I was told it should be). Initially went to see dr. Azizzadeh for Botox. During the Botox, the rn injector, told me that they can do something eliminate dark circles. I was beyond myself!! I don't know there was any treatment that was available for me and agreed to have a consultation (which was $100) to be applied toward the cost later. I was sold before the consult anyway, anything to get rid of my very dark circles I had since I can remember. I was consulted by a nurse not the doctor, and she said one syringe of Restylane was all I needed and said it cost: $800. Made an appointment and was seen 2 weeks later. When Dr. azizzadeh saw me he said I needed 2 syringes for it to make any difference. Ouch, wasn't expecting that, but I was committed at that point (I mean, really what am I going to do, say no ill just take the one and not have results? Wasn't thrilled I was misinformed during consult, but oh well. He didn't ask me just told me matter of factory thats what he was going to do. Anyway, got it done. And I saw some difference, not much but I was satisfied at the time. Keep in mind, other than botox I knew nothing about fillers/costs etc at that time. fast forward a few years. I had Voluma done twice in cheeks, radiesse on nose bridge and a chin, and countless botox on my ll's lines. Switched to dysport now since Botox isn't as effective I've done it enough times and my body built an immunity to it. On occasion I told my other doctors about my Restylane experience and, well let's say no disagreement that costs where a bit high, and amount was not what they would've recommend, in their opinion. But also, be warned, when you see an accomplished Dr. such as dr. Azizzadeh, who's "as seen on" tv, magazines, Or featured on ... and being a "Beverly Hills" dr, expect to pay $$$$. I'm not knocking Dr. Azizzadeh as a surgeon or skills, he made a name for himself because he is good. I just feel like i was upsold and question why he suggested so much product (also keep In mind I saw him a couple years ago too, so I was I think at least 4 years younger. Today's experience: noticeable but extremely natural filled look. Don't get me wrong, there are some dark circles that won't completely go away (depends on many factors, mine genetic so instill l have slight darkness under eye but so so much better as the hollows are perfectly even. The injector was upfront with expectations, and she said she never promises under eye circles to be completely gone to anyone, it's just not realistic. She was a perfectionist, taking her time, very sweet and thorough. She even had a little drop left over and injected it into my laugh line. It was very small amount, but she didn't want to waste it and there wasn't anywhere else under eye to Put it! This with ONE SYRINGE. She mentioned that there was a deal (that I wasn't aware about) for half off up too $500 for first time customers. That was nice. I did not know about it until she mentioned it. I was reluctant about getting restalyne under eye since then first time, but decided to try again. And it just happened to Be in Beverly Hills. Very close to Dr. Azizzadehs office. The main surgeon that trained her specifically for undereye was on site as well but wasn't doing it. I understand she probably doesn't have as much experience as some others (which is why the discount price). In time, I can guarantee she'll raise her price as she gains more creditability, which she should. But I appreciated her honesty and style. And would not hesitate to see her again, and have faith that there are treatments for under eye. read more

One week ago he did my upper and lower lids and a full lower lift (neck and jaw line), plus fat graphing and laser. My friends, family and I are astonished at the incredible results and complete lack of pain and bruising. And just a week later, I look like me, which was my greatest goal. My Aunt recently had a consultation with Dr. Azizzadeh for a facelift, and I decided to tag along to offer my support. Although the appointment wasn't for me, I still wanted to write a review because of the great experience that we had. The first thing that I noticed was how nice the office is. Everything was super updated and modern. The staff was all really friendly and I could tell that it made my Auntie feel less nervous. During the appointment, Dr. Azizzadeh spent a lot of time answering all of her questions. It was cool that he customized a plan for her based on what she wants to get out of surgery. Somehow they started talking about skincare and it turns out that they carry her favorite products so she was able to stock up on them while we were there. After the appointment she let me know how comfortable she felt the whole time. I know my aunt has met with a couple of other doctors, but seemed safe with Dr.Azizzadeh. I went to Dr. Azizzadeh for a small facial scar revision (chicken pox scar), and I can't say nicer things about him and his staff. Completely professional, courteous, and unpretentious. I went to five different consults, with different surgeons, regarding the scar, and every other surgeon wanted me to do multiple laser treatments that would only change it minimally, and would cost an astronomical amount (for a pencil eraser sized scar). Dr. Azizzadeh was the only one willing to and able to remove it surgically. One of the other doctors actually referred me to Dr. Azizzadeah and said wonderful things about his work, especially anything regarding faces. Dr. Azizzadeh is awesome! I recently had a consultation for a rhinoplasty and had an amazing experience. The office was beautiful and really modern- everything was state of the art!The staff was super friendly and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process.
