Although front desk was helpful and the work seems to be good the timing/schedule is awful! I had an appointment for Sunday 8/9 for 1:00pm to have my tire repaired. I arrived at 1:03 and was told it would be about 1/2 hour as the tech was finishing up the car he was working on. I thought that was reasonable so had a seat in their waiting area. A woman was there also waiting. Her car was completed about 30-40 minutes later. In the meantime two other customers arrived. At 2:15 both of their cars were completed (also for tire repairs) and I'm still sitting there. I asked for an update and someone checked and said it would be 15 more minutes. I asked why people that came in after me were already completed. I was told the techs they were assigned must have finished their previous vehicles quicker. I finally left at 2:38. So it doesn't matter if you have an appointment, it's which tech they assign you to! It certainly isn't in a first come first serve process! So, hope that the tech you are "assigned" has easier vehicle repairs before yours! read more

The staff was exceptional from the get go. Got professional advice regarding tire selection versus price. Having a 2004 Pilot, it showed slight wear. On the drivers side tie rod and attached suspension. I had 4 new tires installed at a great price and a "suggestion" for suspension repair and anticipated life of the existing equipment. this business is outstanding! I previously came in and an issue with lugs being so tight that I bent the tire iron trying to get them off to no avail. The guy from VIP came right out and got it off with no charge with an impact wrench. Our car had failed tire requirements for state inspection at the Laconia,New Hampshire dealership.We couldn't get an appointment at either of the local Walmarts for earlier than two weeks! Fortunately,Irving Gas and Oil Company had sent us a $20 off coupon an oil change for VIP! We decided to try them and are we glad! As soon as we walked in,we were welcomed and saw a sign giving a discount to veterans and free inspection! My husband shops at places who give veterans' discounts! While they may have the lowest prices on a full synthetic oil change, you have to put up with being ignored and treated rudely. They simply ignore you! Last time I made an advance appointment for an oil change, I waited patiently in front of the service counter at which one staff member was on the phone with someone, who was obviously much more important than me. After waiting for over 5 minutes and listening to his side of the conversation and without having been acknowledged or told that they would be with me shortly or anything like that, I walked out, and went to another shop in the area, paid a little more, and was treated like a valuable customer. This was my second experience with the VIP people and again they went above and beyond what I had expected. I simply went in to have air put in a low tire and expected to be shown where the compressor was and allowed to do it myself. The mechanic dropped what he was doing and directed me to a bay and proceeded to fill my tire for me, and then commented that I had the wrong caps for the high pressure tires on my vehicle. He immediately went out back and came back with four of the correct value caps and replaced the incorrect ones. Then checked the other three tires for me and found that they all were lower than they should be and filled them up as well. I offered to pay and he insisted that no payment was due or expected. That is unusual in this day and age. Since I had to get my tires balanced anyway, I went in a immediately got an appointment to do the required work. Most places I had attempted to make an appointment with wanted to schedule me a week to a week and a half out. VIP scheduled me the next day. When I went back, my vehicle was taken in immediately and done in less than 30 minutes with a safety check done as well. The price was reasonable and my experience was grade A. Although this was a simple procedure I have had work done here in the past and they always were very accommodating in the scheduling and thorough in completing the work. Absolute garbage of a place and garbage service. Dennis is a know it all jerk. Jackie is the only decent one that works there. They took advantage of me because I was a single female yet I was a faithful customer and kept giving them the benefit of the doubt. Very poor quality work. My front tire kept losing air and I went to them to have it patched up and then not even a few days later my tire pressure light was back on. I stupidly went back to them again and low and behold the tire light is back on. They ignore phone calls if they know they're in the wrong. You can leave voicemails and no one will call you back. Do yourself a favor and do not get tangled up in them. read more

I had the weirdest experience in here over the weekend. I walked in a couple hours before closing in hopes of getting a state inspection, but knew they might be all booked up for the day. I've never seen two customer service staff try so conspicuously to ignore a customer - it was really bizarre. Things took another turn a minute or two later (long enough that it was awkward) when one of the guys looked up to say "I'll be with you in just one minute". Knowing that the answer to my (quick) question was probably "not today", I politely asked if there was any chance I would be able to get in for an inspection that day, or they were all full up. The staffer proceeded to go on 95 second monologue about how he was "in the middle of something and would be right with me" (he explained it in a variety of different ways, and each explanation sounded more desperate than the last). Again, bizarre to the point that the customer behind me in line was visibly confused and we exchanged a couple smirks. After the 2 minute speech about how he had to focus, he went back to work for 12 seconds and walked out to go "check out if there was space for me." The other front desk staffer returned a few seconds later and asked what he could do for me (he had disappeared). I explained that I was being "helped" and that the other guy was checking to see if they had time for another inspection. This new staffer looked down at the calendar on the desk and said "nah, I can tell you won't be able to get in based on what's on here, but we can make you an appointment later in the week." (it took less than 3 seconds). I let him know I was all set. I exchanged another confused look with the guy behind me, and found myself at Valvoline earlier today getting it done by a very friendly team. Look elsewhere! read more

Update: I wanted to add a star because the manager did call to offer to make this right for me by resetting my Tps for free. I took it elsewhere but thought it was good business for him to follow up. Original: I had new winter tires and wheels installed here in January. My original appointment was a waste of time because the wheel didn't work with my car, despite them knowing the year, make, etc of my car weeks ahead of the appointment. I then had to wait another week to get the tires and wheels installed. I also had to buy lug nuts to go with the new tires because the ones I had would not work for some reason. The new tires had a sound coming from the rear of my car but, I thought it was the basic winter wheel design and it sounded like cyclical knocking sound. When the regular tires where put back on, my tire pressure light was on, and needed to be reprogrammed, they charged me to program them when the winter tires where put on. The cyclical sound was still there and had not gone away with the winter wheels/tires being removed. I dropped my car off 30 minutes before my appointment time, and was told by the young man that took my keys, they were empty so it would not take any time at all to get the tire sensor reprogrammed and the sound looked at. I confirmed my phone number on there calendar and left. I returned over an hour later, having received no call. The older man at the front told me the wheel would have to be removed and a diagnostic appointment for over $100 an hour to determine the noise that was coming from the rear tire. They also put air in my tires but didn't reprogram my sensor. He asked when I have had my brakes done because maybe that was the sound. I told him they are a year old, I don't think that is the problem, especially since it only happened when I had the winter tires put on. I got in my car as they locked the doors of the building and left for the day. The tire sensor light was of course, still on because they had not programmed it, the reason I brought the car in. The older gentleman told me there was nothing they could do at this time of day and that he called me and left a message. I asked for the number he called and it was not my phone number. I told him my phone number was correct on the calendar and I was assured they would call it. I asked if he could correct the number in the system and he said he would do that next time. At a quarter to six he was in a big hurry to leave for the day. If you can't even take the time to make sure my number was put in correctly you don't need my business. read more

Always check your oil level before you leave after an oil change. I have noticed, and brought it to their attention, that on the oil dipstick, there are two points; the low level is when you need to add oil, and the max level of oil fill. You will usually find that your oil is only filled to the low level, so you will probably need to add another quart of oil to bring it to its proper level. read more

I was just at VIP asking about a problem with my Ram 1500 the person behind the desk was RUDE and CONDENSING. He bragged about his expert that knew everything about the Ram but did not even ask the person about my problem. I asked him how much it would cost for diagnosing my truck and he said my mechanic works buy the hour, and agian I asked how much and he look perturbed that I asked. I previously recently wrote an excellent review for VIP Tires as I've been a customer there for a couple of years with three cars as of recently I had my wife's car brought in for a transmission fluid change and the transmission started acting up a week later we took her Subaru to a Subaru dealer and found out not only is it the wrong transmission fluid it's also the wrong engine oil the transmission is now damaged even changing to the correct fluid will not fix the damage I have to get rid of the car also I had four tires put on for my daughter new tires the next week she complained the front end was rattling when I looked at her car 1 lug nut was off the other four were almost off when I tried to address the transmission with VIP they threatened with lawyers made excuses and told us the dealership doesn't know what they're talking about my God is a reason people talk bad about VIP I have always gone with my own instincts I should have listened I'll never be back and I will have to get rid of my car read more

I am always impressed by how accommodating they are with my schedule. I typically get right in and they contact me when it's ready and always give me a print out of the work they did and give me a report of how I can be proactive for issues that may be coming up in the future. I also like how a history of work is online so when I visit another VIP location, they will know what has been done, etc. I'll keep coming back! read more

BEWARE!!!! Bought tires here a year ago. One tire was wearing funny. Went back 2 months ago and was told I needed alignment which I had done. Went back again Jan 8th. Because tire was vibrating more and making loud noise. Was told by manager I need front wheel bearings at $800. Was a little leery so I went to another service shop. Was told at the second shop that my front bearings were fine! BEWARE!!!! Never going there again. Sending email to corporate. While I was there a woman told me she had work and inspection done, was pulled over cuz of old inspection sticker. The service person had no record of sticker and she had paid for it. read more

I have been bringing my vehicles to them for the last three or four years but have become less and less satisfied with their service. A diagnostic was done on a vehicle by the dealer, on a part that needed to be repaired and VIP will not accept the results so I had to pay for another diagnostic which came out to the same results as what was stated to them. On top of that I looked up the cost for the replacement part at the counter in the same building and when they quoted me to replace the part, they charged me double what I would pay at the counter. I was told this mark up was a warranty for the work to be done. So I have to pay just in case the job was not done correctly but if it was done correctly they pocket the money. So, I have to pay for a warranty that I do not want and they will not stand behind their work. This will be my last service with this location and company. I will bring my business somewhere else because I feel they have poor business practices and attitude. read more
