After having gone here for the past couple years and seeing the review mentioning them not being positively responsive about whether or not they were open during the Covid 19 pandemic; I figured I'd give it a try to reach out and see if they were open for business. The owner answered and explained that they were, technically, closed because of the quarantine guidelines. However, he asked if I would be willing to meet him the next morning in his parking lot. I gave him my list of things we needed and he was there, texting me to let me know, earlier than arranged. Terrific! I'll be right over! Since then, presumably because we had such a pleasant exchange, I'm disabled and have been a regular; he occasionally would check in to see if I needed more cigarettes for my fiance or anything else. Something that was nice since during my first call with him I'd explained it was more cost effective for my pocketbook to be able to buy by the cartons, as opposed to single packs as the gas stations refused to sell by the carton making my fiance's habit more costly than usual. I can tell you from experience that he has reopened even though his doors are locked. Because if current Covid conditions, he is answering to knocked on his security door from the parking lot entrance. Tell him what you need and he'll get your items and provide you with your total. Heck, call ahead and speak with him nicely; he'll most likely have your order ready by the time you've told him you intend to be there and it's a nice, quick and easy process.

We popped in to catch the Argentina vs. Switzerland match and ordered food nearby. Him at Gus's nextdoor and me via a DoorDash drop off from Maciel's off York Blvd, less than 3 miles away. I had one of the best big gauge Lunatic brand cigars and noted a lot of others I'd come back to try or stock up on here. Service was friendly and all the guys enjoying their evening cigars were as well. Everyone really got into the games, Dodgers on the other big screen being defeated. Easy parking shared with Gus's BBQ nextdoor, which had non-stop foot traffic. Plenty of gents trickled in to the Fair Oaks as well. We had a couple of sodas here, nice and cool from their cold box with water and other ready to grab bevs, but no cocktails as it's more of a spirit shop in that since. I ended up with the Oliva which was under $18. There's a walk-in humidor with an endless variety of cigars, which I'll undoubtedly get to try soon. Not only did he take the time to explain several cigars' flavor profiles, he took the time to drop some knowledge on the punch cut along with other useful info. He didn't try to upsell but also introduced me to some equipment I'd be needing in the near future. 5 stars for the incredible service! There were a few gentlemen enjoying their cigars while watching sports on the TV. I'm definitely going back for more!
