Trying to set up an appointment through Mayflower moving company. After what seemed speaking to someone overseas. Rachel Padilla called me to schedule an appointment for Friday 9:19 at 12:30. After emailing her and no response I called an hour later after the appointment, nobody had reached out to me saying they were going to be late. I would recommend a different moving company. This review is long overdue, moved in February using VIP. Everyone I encountered and interacted with at VIP was a true professional. I spoke with Khalila first, who gathered some details about my move and set me up with an over the phone video survey with Jesse, the sales agent. She was also my move coordinator and checked in with me throughout the process, and even after the move. Her upbeat, super helpful and friendly personality really helped with one of the most stressful times of my life. Jesse, who did the survey of my home and provided me with my quote was very meticulous and very well informed about the specifics of what would be required. He took his time to make sure all expectations were understood. The quote was realistic and the time frames required for assembly/reassembly of certain equipment, number of movers and materials needed was clearly explained. He was easily reachable over the phone and via text and email for questions. The guys that came to do the actual dirty work - packing all of my belongings, loading them, transporting them and unpacking, were also great. I spent a lot of time chatting with the driver Carlos, who was also one of the packers. He had a friendly and engaging personality. The guys were very careful with everything and not a single thing arrived broken. By the way VIP, you do not pay these guys enough, pay them more!! It's also important to note that unlike a lot of other movers who are small operations (and also may not be bonded and insured), VIP has the trucks and manpower to be able to schedule several people for a job even with short lead times. I contacted them mid month for an end of the month local move; I needed everything done in one day (packing, loading, transporting, unpacking) and they were able to send 5 guys to make it happen. I did end up having to make a claim for some missing items which were inadvertently left behind in my previous residence. I worked with Mindy on the claim and she was absolutely great as well. All in all, VIP's customer service was exceptional, the move was well coordinated and I am glad I picked them. read more

They did an excellent job from start to finish on a move from California to Idaho. There were some problems but it was from the movers that got the shipment here. Everything that was done through VIP was handled with no issues and the people that work there are very friendly and easy to reach. You may want to pay attention to who receives your shipment if you are going through Mayflower as a different company may deliver to your house at your destination and you may have issues with them. If VIP can deliver from start to finish would be the best option if available. read more

We bought a new house. They beat the hell out of our walls. They also dropped our large massage chair. I had to fight them to pay the claim on the chair. Now when it comes to the wall they are saying the driver did not document them. He lied to me and told me that he had already opened the claim which turned out to be false. These people work so hard to deny claims and find the worst excuses. We moved 3/31 and I opened the claim in April and where they scratched the floor they are stating there is no proof. If they don't like the estimate, then why don't they come out and just fix it. It's a stall tactic. Mayflower needs to do really look into this crooked company. We have used mayflower three other times and this is a complete different experience. No matter what the cost is this company is not with it! read more

Why would you do that ?Because they kept their word ,was professional and was exceeded our expectation. They take exceptional care in wrapping your furniture as a result we experienced zero damage. We had a good experience working with this team for our out-of-state move. Our move coordinator, Christine, was an absolute joy to work with. She had great communication and responded quickly to all my dumb questions. Her bubbly personality is infectious! Thank you, Christine, for all your help! We weren't 100% happy with how our items were physically handled during the actual moving process and unfortunately ended up with several damaged items. However, I do not feel this is a reflection of the excellent work that the Corona office did. It is a reflection on the companies that they contacted with and I would love to see that part improve. Disrespectful, unreliable and immature... a complete lack of accountability. We got left waiting for them to call and confirm a move date and by the time they did, we were left holding the bag with no movers. DON'T HIRE! Look around first, there are a lot of moving companies that you can chose from. Select one that will actually respond in a timely manor and regard you with some kind of respect. What a terrible experience! I wouldn't call them to help me move across the street. 5 emails, 6 calls and 3 texts and not a single response. Unbelievable. The worst customer service I have ever dealt with. The rep I met, Nick, was completely indifferent and ignored us at every turn, ducking calls, dodging us on emails and even avoiding us when the secretary tried to flag him down, telling us, "You just missed him". Pathetic. They should "Just miss your business" as well. DON'T CALL OR HIRE!! If someone can't do the job, they should have the decency to call you and let you know, not avoid you like a child, cowering and ignoring their customers. I called this company to inquire about a move we were making from a facility in Torrance, CA to a local storage building (7 min away), Additionally, I asked about a long haul move for some of our equipment to a Las Vegas location. Admittedly, we were on a short timeline and this was explained up front. I invited them to come visit and assess our move. Their rep, Nick, showed up and after a quick tour, he left to generate a quote. We received the quote and then, needed to make some changes. This is where things went downhill. I started emailing, texting and calling our rep to confirm our dates and contract to lock things in before the weekend. I could not reach them. I then called all day Monday, leaving several voicemails and emails. I did not get a response, so I call called the office, worried they were going to allocate their trucks elsewhere. The person I spoke to informed me that Nick was working remotely and would return my call. I never heard from him. The next day, I was very concerned as we were running out of time and I sent 4 emails, made three cell calls and send two text messages starting at 10 am in an attempt to reach Nick throughout the day. I called the office and spoke to one of their coordinators who assured me Nick, although he had "just stepped out of the office" would return my call. At 4pm, I called one last time and was told Nick had just gone into a meeting. I spoke to another coordinator who told me he didn't think Nick had the trucks to make our move possible. How could this be the first I am hearing this? It was 4pm! I expressed my displeasure respectfully, explaining that a simple phone call turning down the job or informing me that they had no trucks could have given me time to secure a different company, and that now I had no time to find a new company. The coordinator told me "Nick was very unprofessional and should have a stern talking to"... That's great. However, that doesn't solve our problems. Terrible customer service, terrible communication and terrible levels of respect and maturity. Someone too afraid of confrontation has no place in business. If you are too shy, afraid or indifferent to pick up a phone and tell a customer you can't do a job, you won't be in business very long. I felt like I was dealing with a teenager who was avoiding their mom's call. Childish, irresponsible and disrespectful are the words I would use to define this company and the people who run it. If you are looking for someone you can rely on and TRUST, I would caution you to LOOK ELSEWHERE and don't make the same mistake we did. read more

Moving=stress!! Lucky for us we did not have to feel the stress of the move with Mayflower. Tony came out and did an estimate on our items that we wanted to move and the ones we needed help with packing. He did an amazing job and you can tell he is very experienced in his knowledge with the company. He was extremely kind and understanding especially since we were really nervous about a big move for us moving out of state. He went over all the questions we had and made sure to go over everything with us. Tony was the reason we booked with Mayflower. His knowledge and experience made us have so much trust in the company! We felt comfortable knowing he would be taking care of our move! Once confirmed with Tony we received a call from the office from Christine. Her energy is contagious. Every phone call she was always so upbeat and helpful. Super super sweet!! Sam loaded and unloaded our stuff in the days scheduled and I felt went above and beyond. He made sure to ask where we wanted things and is a hard worker! Very quick and efficient. We were anxious on how this would work but our first line of defense was Kimber Lowman. I can not tell you how patient and understanding she was with my family. Quick friendly service I had antiques and other furniture and boxes which I packed. Everything was placed in two plywood 'pods' and shipped from CA to MT. I had limited time to set an ASAP move out date so I could return dad's home to retirement community and stop paying very high monthly fees, and I live in MT and was scheduled to leave CA. Kimber did phone walkthrough, gave me price and was able to schedule furniture to be picked up in a week. All furniture was well wrapped in blankets and placed in pod. None of the packed boxes were opened by others- they were also placed in pods. Furniture arrived in MT on schedule and I was kept informed of date and time. Pods were transferred to smaller moving truck and delivered by friendly helpful locals. Based on my experience I would recommend this company. read more

This was my first cross-country move and overall I had a great experience with Mayflower VIP Transport. Gary was the first person I interacted with. He did the estimate and was phenomenal to work with. He went above and beyond to respond to all of my questions at all times of the day and to help me coordinate a load date and all of the other logistical details of my move. I've never experienced such great customer service. I was then transferred to Michele, my move coordinator, who was equally as wonderful to work with. Michele was upbeat and responsive to all of my needs and questions. She kept me updated throughout the process. The person that oversaw my delivery in Denver, Robert, was also fantastic. He was extremely thorough, informative and provided great customer service. His crew was also great! I did have some minor damage on one piece of furniture but everything else arrived in perfect condition. Because I had a smaller move that had to be transported across the country in a truck with other moves, my delivery took a little longer than I would have liked but it did come within the promised delivery window. This was our 3rd move with United/Mayflower and it was interstate. We had three pickups and one delivery. A lifetime of memories, thousands of books, a lot of furniture and a limited budget. With 30,000+ pounds we filled a giant truck. The movers came and packed our computers, china, glass, furniture and books. They did this in two days. It was flawless. Lead by Frank the driver the seven person crew (for the pick-up) and six person crew for the delivery did an awesome job. With the exception of a desk that was not assembled perfectly--everything made it. No losses no damage. We're super happy with VIP and Mayflower. VIP coordinated the move for Mayflower/United and they were flawless--from credit approval to checking on us after every step. Michele is a superstar. I finally finished unpacking and can take a moment to tell you all how getting from point A to point B went for me using Mayflower VIP Transport. My driver David and crew arrived at my home on time and ready to work. They handled my home and family with the upmost respect and care. He was very detailed and communicated every single thing to me. He didn't miss a beat. Before leaving he made sure I understood the process and worked with me making sure the date of delivery would fit in my schedule. I soooooo freakin appreciated that. He could've just delivered in the timeframe that best suited him and his schedule, but he put his customer FIRST!!! I signed my paperwork and he and my belongings head on out. Fast forward a week and voila....David is once again keeping me in the loop, confirming that our scheduled delivery date is still on. I could give them a lot more business if we could just get a bit better of a discount. In this particular move, the driver Matt during a delivery to Shelton, CT arrived not only a week & a few days early he was a problem solver to boot. You don't get that in this business a lot. He wasn't able to have a helper with him so he paid out of his pocket for extra labor on his own and completed a delivery of an Ice Cream Case and removed the old one & made the customer very happy. I am in the middle of a move right now with mayflower and vip transport. I am extremely disappointed with the options they presented me to hold my stuff in storage and "redeliver" for almost 8000. The sales rep Jesse told me that if I paid ~2400 (I did) they would hold my stuff at their warehouse for 7-10 and give me more options if I needed to delay it. They did not hold my stuff and now my options are expensive. They are not empathetic or will to work with me at all. Do not use this company! When Jesse told me I can "trust him" it should have been my clue to go with another carrier. read more
