The first time using this company was really good and we had a great experience so I referred them to every one of my tenants, all of my family and friends, plus anyone that mentioned they were in need of movers. Then I used them a second time last week to over 2 refrigerators and a bookshelf I cannot move myself. Not only did they gouge out about a 4 inch piece from my brand new floors while moving the fridge, the owner lied to me and said he would come back and fix it right away, but then as soon as that payment went thru via Zelle he stopped answering all my texts and will not fix the damages to my floors his crew caused. All I asked was for someone to come and fix the damages (like he offered first hand) or if he could not to that to pay the cost for someone to fix it as the floors were just installed less than 6 months ago. And I got nothing, I got complete silence. I am so sad that it turned out this way and I will now never recommend/refer or use this company again and I will tell everyone of my experience with them. And i have all the pictures to proof what happened and text message conversations as well. This is not okay and not a way to do business with a loyal customer. I am was disappointed in you guys. Our escrow got pushed back two weeks but we had to be out of our apartment and had nowhere to put our things for two weeks. The move out date was also Labor Day weekend and the movers would have to be paid time and a half. I told Gary we had been considering PODS and he told me he also rented storage units, which was a much cheaper option than a full crew of movers. I told him a friend had issues w PODS. He told me that PODS is tricky because they aren't local and the PODS are rarely big enough to hold everything and you usually need an extra which they typically can't get to you right away because of the way they operate (out of state), but since he's local, he can get anything I needed within 24 hours. I was sold. They dropped two units off and we started filling them. Michelle (who was always super cheerful and happy to help me coordinate all the drop off/pick up times) gave me instructions and so did her drivers on how to best fill the units. The drop off was precision and the units were sparkling clean! Seriously. They even smelled clean. The units are about the size of a single car garage, so they hold a lot, especially if you pack it to the ceiling. Gary recommended two units for the size of my apartment, so that's what I ordered. We quickly filled the first unit and they picked it up as soon as I told them it was full. As we filled the second unit, we soon realized we would need a third unit but it was already after hours. I called the next morning at 7am and they had the third unit there two hours later. They also picked up the second unit which was now full. I mean, they hustle! (I should also disclaim the fact that we are about 3 miles from their location on March Air Reserve Base, so that helped them get to us very quickly for all pick up and drop offs, but I have no doubt about how well they would have accommodated us even if we were a bit further.) I also wanted to note that the drivers were masked during the drop off process and they were even sweet to my kids who were excited to watch the lift drop off and load the units. :) Today is the last day of our move out. They are scheduled to come this morning to pick it up. I will update once we have them drop off our stuff at the new home but I am impressed for sure!

They completely damaged my parents brand new refrigerator during the move. Not only did they damage it, they admitted to damaging it and then lied about it and changed paperwork to cover it up. And now we have zero recourse. Be careful, they will trick you into selecting the $0.60 per pound insurance and then when something like this happens, it's "too bad so sad". All they care about is their corporation and not the consumer. My parents bought a brand new $2500 fridge that is now damaged. Rather than doing the right thing and getting them a new one, they are standing behind their corporate contracts. This is not how a human being should act. If you are the company that cares with a heart of gold, then do the right thing. And don't lie and cover up what occurred during transit. I have time-stamped pictures of the fridge. The last time, I had to move a lady from Riverside to Hemet on short notice. Again done without a hitch. I anticipate I will need Mike's services again before too long. On day of move, Mike's Moving (spoke to wife) was notified about the damage and attempted to waive the credit card use fee ($30) as reimbursement for damage. Really?!?! The only way to repair the damage is to replace the stair nose with a new one.... which would obviously cost more than $30. After much discussion, the wife agreed to send someone in two weeks to replace the damaged stair nose. It been almost two months since the move and I'm still waiting. I chose Mike's Moving because of the positive reviews and for the company being licensed and insured. With the surprising price I paid compared to their initial estimate I was quoted ($325 to $550) the movers being late from the originally scheduled morning appointment I had; and the lack of customer service to replace property damage cause by them; I would definitely think twice before booking and would definitely recommend another moving company.

When I first called Al, I asked about pricing, if the trip included gas and insurance, if they were…read moreavailable to move a storage unit and an apartment. My husband and I were initially very reassured when we first met Al and his coworker on the day of the move. We told that we had taken pictures and videos of everything in our apartment before the move and would do so again afterwards. (In the pictures below, the cabinet is in the bathroom). We explained to them our previous bad experience with movers: our a $200 cabinet was damaged, and despite insurance via Uhaul, we were denied any compensation. This made us extremely anxious, but so many reviews were positive. We were reassured and told, "We treat your things like we'd treat ours." They ran out or did not wrap one of our cabinet doors. This led to severe damage, and it was scraped against the truck door as it opened and closed. (My husband witnessed it happen when it opened). Despite feeling anxious about some damage we noticed during the unloading of our items, we treated them with kindness. We bought water for them, provided snacks, and did not hesitate when paying for the time we went over. We did not bring up the cabinet immediately while they were present, as we thought it'd be best to go over all items before addressing it - a one-and-done kind of mindset. The next day we reached out about the damages. Where the once kind, patient, and understanding man we dealt with disappeared, we were so disappointed. We were told insurance covers on $.60 per pound, and if we wanted extra insurance, that's something we had to ask about and pay for ahead of time. When I explained that I did ask, I had my notes from every mover I called, and my husband was with me when I asked; we were accused of lying and fabricating information. All we wanted was compensation for the damaged IKEA cabinet we cannot replace, as it was discontinued, and $357.25 is a lot of money to lose because of someone else's carelessness. Update: Al did contact me, and we had a respectful conversation and reached a goodwill resolution.
