Food is over priced for the quality. They have sushi which sucks but if uv never had better then I guess it would work for u, the rolls fell apart before I could pick them up. An the fish wasn't fresh. Its really dark an over crowded. Some of the waitresses are rude an nasty. They try for a romantic setting but its not very romantic with their out of date decor an being crowded. read more

Was here on November 4 for dinner while in town for a tradeshow I made reservations 2 days prior and when I showed my name was not on the list instead it said PEDRO when my name is jose , when I called and was asked my name I said jose and I heard the hostess laugh so I already thought something prior to showing up anyway hostess was very rude and racist, she sat us all the way in the back by a staircase where we didn't fit so I asked the waitress I move us so when the hostess came by the waitress ignored her and that point we all felt uncomfortable including the waitress . So the hostess tell us to get up and walk into another room and has us waiting for about 10 min in middle of the room when tables we're available.I usually don't leave reviews but this place is RACIST !!!!! read more

Nice atmosphere, kind of old timey. Service excellent and the food was very good overall. The steak was excellent, but the broccoli side not so much. We also had the Jambalaya which was OK, but certainly not of the quality you would find in a Cajun style restaurant as the sauce was not spicy and a bit too Italian in taste. It did reheat well and was an excellent leftover. We will revisit but will probably stick to the steak offerings. read more

My favorite restaurant in the area. The food is seasonal, beautiful, and unique and they have a full bar. The décor is drop-dead gorgeous. Think classy saloon. I've been told that very little has changed. They have a kid's menu but it feels a little too quiet and upscale for children so I don't bring mine unless I have to. We had dinner there with my daughter who is 5. Our waitress was very attentive. She was so sweet to my daughter. We sat upstairs which is my favorite place to sit ! I had chicken with avocado , It was breaded very nicely and the Brussel sprouts that came on the side were so good! I prefer them over the waxy green beans that some places serve. I ended up having my daughters spaghetti as left overs as she found it too spicy but I found the flavor to be perfect! I love that the employees dress up nicely and treat you well even if you are dressed in casual clothes. I appreciate that the owner is almost always there to greet you as it shows that she cares about her business, The atmosphere is classy. It is my favorite place to go in Pendleton! We try and go here every year for our anniversary and it has not ever disappointed us! read more

How do I start I ordered the special which was the pan seared halibut with a mango ceviche and veggies that where over cooked but eatable the garlic mashed potatoes had good flavor but they where just Luke warm. I like my food hot. I kept trying to distinguish the ceviche from the fish but it just didn't fit. The one thing I was disappointed in was I ordered a glass of Pinot noir and it was barely a half poor for ten bucks it should have been more it was not an expensive wine. The owner was pleasant and very much in tune with her customers but I think I bit bigger portion for the price would have made the dinner a bit better. We came to this beautiful town for a very special wedding, Cimmiyotti's was one of the restaurants recommended by our friends. We got there on Thursday evening and were greeted right the way by a friendly waitress/bartender. Even though it was late, they got us a very nice table at the bar and service was beyond expectation. I started with a martini (Tito's of course) with blue cheese olives ( they didn't have the olives stuffed, but the waitress stuffed them when I requested them..wow). The food was excellent( I had the rack of lamb, yuuuuummmm). They even let us borrow wine glasses to take to the hotel (who does that?). On top of all, I forgot my jacket ( did I drink a little too much??? :) and couldn't get a hold of them until Tuesday ( they are closed Saturday and Sunday, I realized my jacked was missing on Sunday :( ). I called the restaurant and the owner Jennifer was extremely kind, she is shipping me my jacket to me. I can't wait to go back to Pendleton and dine there again and again. Actually, Cimmiyotti's is in fact still in business. They have reopened with a new owner and if officially known as Virgil's at Cimmiyotti's. They have excellent service and the menu was a tough choice. I ended up ordering the prawns in a browned butter-sage sauce...oh my!!! The atmosphere is dark and intimate. Stopped here on the drive between Seattle and Boise. Food was incredible and service was spot on. We ordered a surf and turf with New York strip and lobster tail and the crab cakes. All delicious. Prices are probably a bit high for the area but on par with what we're used to in Seattle and the portions were quite large. We shared our plates with our 13 year old daughter and the staff did not take issue with this at all...and there was plenty to go around. I don't eat steak often, but it seems like a shame not to do so in this area and Virgil's did not disappoint. We also enjoyed the western saloon vibe. Tasteful not kitschy. I had always heard about the great restaurant Cimmiyottis. I knew in passing the original owners , Paul and Anne Cimmiyotti, many years my senior, who were raised in rural Gilliam county where my fathers''s family settled. I heard that the restaurant declined sometime after they left but has since risen. I made a point of eating there the first time recently on my first trip to Pendleton in many years, and was happy to see the old west red velvet wallpaper I had heard of. The service was great, as was the grilled pork chop dinner. The big photo of Paul and his horse at the Pendleton Roundup reminds one of the heritage of the restaurant and the city. Cimmiyotti's is always a treat! The filet mignon with the Pendleton Whiskey sauce is cooked perfectly and served with great sides! The atmosphere is also very classy but still very comfortable. If you are in Pendleton, definitely stop by for a great dinner. read more

Meal was great and service was even better. We were traveling through from a vacation heading home and the front desk clerk at the motel suggested here. So we tried it and the food was absolutely amazing. Blackened Prime Rib was the best I have ever had, didn't even need any sauce. Our server was just a doll. My only complaint was overhearing the manager raising her voice to her over a table mix up. We voiced our concerns to the manager when she asked how our meals were. She apologized and explained and said Thank u for bring it to her attention. Then sent us home with some magnificent desserts. We will definitely go back. read more

Very sad. Was hoping for a great place we could come on date night. It took over an hour from the time we ordered to receive our dinners they were barely warm. The table who ordered half an hour after us recieved their food 5 min after us and we could see the steam rising. So we finally left after 2 hours. Wish we had gone to hamleys. read more

Do not, I repeat DO NOT waste your time or money. After a long day in Pendleton, a group of 10 friends made appropriate reservations to enjoy a budget busting dinner. We knew going in but were willing to spend the money for a great steak dinner. EPIC FAIL. We were seated quickly, but that was the best part of our dinner. Disorganization, substandard service, and poorly executed preperations drug our evening into 2 1/2 hours of dining Hell. Management admited and apologized, but food was inedible, med rare steak Dianne was grey and cold! Errors abounded from the drink orders clear thru to the individual checks. Having been a waitress in the past, I clearly have some compassion for the server. However in this case, even her attempts were feeble at best. We were not even checked on by the server to see if our dinners were okay. Management knew, no offers of consideration and a total waste of time. 2 1/2 hours of my life I'll never get back. So my Rodeo and Dog show friends RUN do not walk to a different choice of restaurant and / or Steakhouse in Pendleton, OR. read more

We worked in Pendleton for two weeks and eat at all of the restaurants in the casino and a number of the restaurants downtown. At a number of the other restaurants we were disappointed with the food and/or service. On our last night we went to Virgil's and we were pleasantly surprised. The service was great and we really enjoyed the food. The crab cakes are good, house salad was excellent and everyone really enjoyed their Steak. I wish we would have tried Virgil's on our first night instead of our last night in town. read more

Ordered the Prime Rib, and received a shank (leg bone) cut of meat. Waitress insisted this was Prime Rib. Not sure how a cut with two round leg bones (less desirable meat) can be served as Prime Rib. Saw other guests served the same thing. I suspect during the mass production of Rodeo week they put anything on a plate and sell it. I was disappointed as I felt purposefully ripped off. Was a useless battle trying to explain to the ill informed and overwhelmed waitress. Good bar and bartenders. But would not recommend. read more

Seattle 3 and Pendleton 4. Service was attentive. When I asked about a particular wine, however, she said "it's delicious", not quite an explanation but okay. Salads were good and I appreciated the fresh edible flowers however they were overdressed and the balsamic was overpowering. Lamb shank was good and mashed potatoes were average. My dinner mates had the beef stroganoff and it was soupy which was underwhelming. Overall, the meat was good, the ambiance was great (velvet wallpaper was amazing), and service was quick and attentive. For the area, they are doing a stand up job. read more

I LOVE Virgil's at Cimmiyotti's! They hand cut their own steaks.....which are thick, juicy & delicious!!! They have a great wine selection, full bar, and fun decor! LOVE the red velvet wallpaper! Prime rib every friday! Great prices. I called them on my way from a restaurant that we had to leave because they wouldn't seat us and let us leave unhappy and hungry. The hostess was genuinely sympathetic and reserved a table for us. We were treated like royalty by Sarah and trainee Wendy. My fiancé makes the best prime rib ever and even he leaned in and whispered to me, "This is better than mine." I had the filet with bacon and bourbon sauce. It melted in my mouth. Beautiful interior design. Even the bathrooms were gorgeous. Very warm, quaint and inviting. This will be our go-to date night spot. We overheard all of the other guests complimenting the food and service as well. read more

High end food at a great price! After drinks were served we munched on a yummy bread, olive oil and balsamic with roasted garlic and a veggie plate. Then we started our meal with a beautiful salad with candied walnuts. "The lady" had the chicken Marsala and safron rice- the best I've had!!!!! The chicken was obviously cut fresh with crispy skin, the mushrooms were delicious and the brocolini had a hollandais infused with garlic! So yummy! "The gentleman " had the beef stroganoff which was rich, creamy and a good balance of meat with the noodles. Service by "Patience " was warm and friendly. Went back again. This time we all ordered the rib steak. It melted in your mouth and the flavor was to die for! Best steak outside of our own home grown bbq'd. For a treat we added scallops to 1 meal and crab cakes to another meal. It was like $9 more each..but we decided to treat ourselves. There were 2 scallops. When will we learn?! The pan fried oysters for appetizers were very good. Service was pretty good... took a while to to take away our dishes and refill the drinks but they were very friendly. Would like to see them offer butter for those that do not like vinegar and oil on thier hot breat. read more
