Hands down best ribeye steak I've ever had! The portabella mushroom app was to die for and don't skip the creme brûlée, which came out on fire and is plenty big enough for two to share. Pendleton is a cowboy town. It is a smaller town. To expect first rate cuisine is unrealistic. I was expecting little when my wife and I chose Virgils, mostly as the lesser of evils than a desired destination. I was wrong. I had a very nice tomato/basil bisque with portabello ( my fave) and a nice veggie scramble. My wife had a terrific salad and a rice/chicken main dish. We shared a bread pudding desert. All said,it was reasonably priced, well prepared and tasty. Service was very good. Our server found answers to several questions I had that she did not know the answers to. The Rusty Nail I had as a cocktail was surprisingly good, and good value. We walked out with smiles on our face and fully bellies. I shall return. read more

Great steak, great atmosphere and an attentive wait staff. It's not the cheapest place but it's far from the most expensive. They made a very good ribeye and and their house salad was excellent. I had a martini that mad made to perfection. I didn't partake in any dessert. read more

I have eaten here many times and NEVER had a bad or disappointing meal. The atmosphere is fantastic their servers are great and the food is outstanding. When ever given a chance I choose Virgil's @Cimmiyotti's! The RibEye is my go to meal and I always have leftovers. The dinner salad is my favorite, try it with blue cheese! Love the old time look with red velvet wall paper, black wrought iron railings, and feel of an old burlesque type setting was nice to see. Three of us ordered different steaks, two from the menu and one as a special..all were amazing. Cooked exactly as ordered (rare, medium rare, and well) and melt in your mouth to die for delicious. As a customer service guru, I'm always critiquing and looking for the over the top service..they have this as well. Stevie is an amazing waitress with great food service as well as gaining connection to her customers! We got what we wanted in our over the delicious dinner! No disappointment with that choice!! I had the filet mignon and it was so tender and flavorful! The melt in your mouth kind that I wish I could prepare at home. Disappointing for the meal but service was great! I ordered the California chicken with mozzarella, tomatoes and bacon. The chicken was undercooked and seemed to be missing the bacon. It was supposed to be bacon bits, but it was pretty flavorless. The Caesar salad was also pretty bland,as the dressing didn't taste like traditional Caesar and the croutons were stale hard. The salad was served with onions and carrots,,,weird. The saving grace here was the owner and server were extremely nice and tried to make it right. The fried avacado was good. Pretty spendy. Had to pick between two steak houses when we came through town and went with Virgil's. Had a great bottle of wine and an excellent salad with lots of blue cheese crumbles and fresh greens but the Virgil Oscar steak with crab and béarnaise sauce was mediocre at best. Not awful just not great. Served warm but definitely not sizzling hot. Taste was so-so and though certainly not tough it wasn't buttery tender either. The free dessert incentive through Yelp was a lemon chiffon that apparently is the house dessert and it really was pitiful. Thin lemon flavor with fake whipped cream on top. Not much to it at all. I know the red velvet walls were meant to be atmospheric pressure to our taste just came across as tacky. Waitress was friendly and helpful. read more

We went to cimmiyottis for our 1 year wedding anniversary and to celebrate 15 years of being together and we could not have picked a better place!!!!! We had a wonderful time the food was excellent!!! We had the onion rings, steak tips and bacon jalapeno prawns for an appetizer and they give you bread and vegis!!! Then I had the sirloin an my husband had the steak oscar!! We were so full from appetizers we brought most of our meal home. We shared the cheesecake and they put a candle on it and it was amazing. What an awesome place very nice staff. We will be back. The only downfall is we haven't been sooner!!!! read more

Food was good but definitely not for the price. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere very romantic. It reminded me of an old place you might find in Paris but the price is WAY to high for Pendleton. My date had a steak dinner for $50 and my fettuccine alfredo was around $35. Horrible!! Steaks dry, cold, tasteless. Every one of us had a different dish... all of which were cold to lukewarm. One we sent back to be warmed up. No baked potatoes. Okay, this place is worth another star... their dinner salad is very good and their other steaks beside the filet are very decent. I really liked the scallop dish they had as well however the portion size is very small, so don't order it if you weigh more then 150 lbs or you'll be starving afterwards. other then that, this place has some of the best eats in Pendleton. read more

I am thoroughly impressed by how Jennifer (the owner) has revived this once dormant Pendleton institution. While maintaining the spirit of the old restaurant (many of the pictures that adorn the walls were there when the original owner retired), she has subtly updated many elements. The menu, for example, features the standard steak, seafood, and Italian dishes, while throwing in a few contemporary items. The decor as well feels very stylish with the old flocked wallpaper giving it an old-school feel. Jennifer's hands-on approach to customer service also feels like a throwback to a different era in the restaurant business when service meant treating your patrons more like guests than customers. So, if you're looking for a classy date-night spot in Pendleton, Cimmiyotti's should be at the top of your list. read more

We went during Round up and my first thought upon arrival was this is going to be a mess!! It was standing room only in the bar when we got there and we had to wait to be seated even though we had a reservation. The restaurant is small but very old west feeling... Once the hostess finally got to us she goes "well we will find you a table somewhere". Not to warm and fuzzy...but she began to walk into this very small little western feeling restaurant...which just beyond the kitchen they had set up tents, tables, heaters and a bar outside. What a great idea as this area probably tripled the capacity of this restaurant! We had Bridgette as our server and she was attentive, fast and brought everything out hot (or cold) just as it should be... Now the drinks were in plastic cups but hey the town was crazy busy for round up...so I don't fault them! We had 2 filet mignon's and two basil chicken dinners and the food was presented well, cooked properly and tasted great!! I can't say it was cheap... But it was delicious! Certainly exceeded my expectations during such a busy week here in Pendleton!!! I would try them again on a more quiet time. read more

Cimmiyotti's - is back, excellent and reasonable! Believe they've been back for a few months now. Had the gumbo 2 months after returning from NOLA and wasn't disappointed. The seafood is fresh, spiced right and reasonable - $40 covered two similar dinners although you could spend more or less. Put on your slacks and good shirt - for Pendleton, this is dressier than most - but enjoy your elegantly - dressed service and food that is arranged on your plate, individually prepared and requests for feedback on how you are being treated. read more
