I'm don't recall how I found Dr. Swamy but my life is significantly better for it. He removed my tonsils back in 2013 and provided excellent follow-up care. When sinus issues took over my life in 2019, he suggested and performed a procedure that eliminated the nagging problem. Since then, he's been supervising my allergy treatments and the difference in my quality of life is priceless. The front desk staff has always been professional and accommodating. The building and office itself have adapted seamlessly to provide safe COVID protocols. Finding a consistent and good medical provider is the DMV is difficult so MET is definitely a treasure.

Then swans in "Diego," who I believe to be a PA, not a doctor, since the women all called him by his first name. He explained NOTHING, just looked in my ears, contradicted the decisions and findings of the others, including an actual doctor who had evaluated my hearting a year previously. I felt disrespected and even afraid, treated like a subhuman. I am reluctant to have anything to do with an office that allows him to be with patients. "Interact" with would not be accurate, since he did not engage, merely opined, and not in an informative manner. He told me all the others were wrong, but not why, and not what was right. Unsettling and unpleasant.

Even then, ok, so I asked to see some of her work doing the procedure that I was interested in. There is only one set of pictures on the website --- so nothing really. I was informed that they can't show me any more and that I could come into the office and pay the 160 before ever seeing any of the Dr's work. I find this to be sketchy and semi manipulative, I feel like any one who has been doing this for awhile reliably would have more than one before and after they are willing to share without paying money for a consult.

Unfriendly woman at the window said…read moreI had to let them copy my ID and fill out forms first including insurance information, social security number, multiple releases (mind you this was just for a consultation and if I had any procedures it would be paid for by me completely out of pocket, no insurance applied). The first rule of protection against identity theft is never let anyone copy your ID - she said it had to be done. NOT true (if I came back they could see it each time if they needed to). I didn't mind filling out a health history, but when I questioned 10 pages of non-applicable forms she told me if I didn't fill them all out (including an unlimited info release to anyone the doctor chose - and agreeing to pay outrageous collection and legal fees) then I couldn't see the doctor (mind you this was just for a consultation that was going to cost me $125). I left. Pretty lousy customer service and attitude. I'll find a doctor who does better with both. Wasted 2 hours of sick leave to make the trip.

She is also not the kind of doctor who will take one look and be like, - Oh this little problem of yours, it will be gone in no time. She will take her time to explain the symptoms, not promise me random miracles and be upfront of what the consequences/ results of the treatment will be. The fact that I have stuck to her as my dermatologist since 2012, given her uber rude/ nonchalant/ non-accommodating staff is testament to how good she exactly is! More than once, I have heard the staff make comments (sometimes rude ones), about other patients. Getting an appointment is TOUGH and usually making an appointment before you leave the office is best. IF you ever need to cancel, God help you! Their staff will not make it a pleasant experience. In terms of waiting time, it is usually consistent between 10 - 20 minutes. However, I have had appointments where I waited less than 5 minutes and the one like last time where I waited an hour! I have usually seen that coming in at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment time helps a lot. However, I do love coming to Dr. Wolfe for her expertise, her bedside manner and her general disdain towards over medication. I would happily give this place 5 stars had the front desk staff been nicer.

I had been out of town for several years and when I called for an appointment, I was told I would be considered a new patient and that I would have to wait about 6 months for an appointment. When I explained that I had a very concerning mole, the person on the fone repeated I would be treated as a new patient and that I would get an appointment in 6 months. When I said, okay, what would the receptionist recommend I do, she repeated I would be treated as a new patient and would be seen in six months. I then asked if Dr Aria had a standby physician whom I could see. The receptionist then again stated I would be a treated as a new patient and I could be seen in six months. I might as well have just gotten voice mail on a loop. When I said to her that she was merely repeating the same thing over and over again, she hung up. I called again, got a man and made an appointment six months in advance. But, then I found out they simply cancelled my appointment. Is Dr. Aria running a medical practice? By the way, in the past, when I went for my appointment, the office staff had me answer verbally on the phone all the medical questions they had (some of which were confidential) while sitting in the parking lot for anyone to overhear. There does not seem to be a care in the world about HIPPA. Good luck with this physician and her office staff. The Doctor came highly recommended on NextDoor. But, I don't think I would write a good review given my experiences with this doctor and, in particular, her office staff. What an abomination!

Does every Dr. Make you wait an hour plus before they see you? Ugh! The front desk staff go from moody to cool, the medical staff are more upbeat and easygoing. Dr. Waddel is a straight shooter but can be on the insensitive side at times. Anyway, the practice is a patient centered medical home so they offer more than just your primary care services including mental health and nutrition. During one visit, a nurse confused me with another patient and attempted to give me a shot I did not need. The only reason it didn't happen is because I stopped her and told her to verify. That is a terrifying level of negligence in a medical office. Patients are told they may only discuss two "problems" per visit -- their word -- and are charged if they dare mention anything else. This practice nickel-and-dimes patients relentlessly: * $25 for work paperwork * $30 for prescription refills * $45 to transfer records * $150 for bringing up a third issue I was double-charged for a visit and then blamed for their billing mistake. You're forced to complete 20+ pages of paperwork ahead of time, only to be made to redo all of it once you arrive. The front desk staff are rude, dismissive, and wildly incompetent. Dr. Waddell does not appear to care about patients at all -- only revenue. Visits are rushed, impersonal, and transactional. In a telemedicine appointment, she was two hours late and didn't even offer a simple apology. I switched providers and immediately saw the difference: respect, accountability, and actual care. This office provides none of that. I would actively warn anyone considering Dr. Waddell to stay far away.
