Recently placed my first order for a couple parts we really wanted, and added a few odds and ends to get over $100 for the free shipping. a week later, the order arrives, one of the desired parts is absent. call customer service, it's out of stock, no idea when more will arrive. The next weekend, I install the parking brake warning light. Doesn't work. I call to report the problem, ask if they require me to return only the defective piece, or the entire kit? Of course, the entire kit. Perform continuity test, determine the cheap 10 cent switch never closes to complete the circuit. Switch replacement would require disassembling the switch, so I call again, and am asked "do I want a replacement or a refund?". "A replacement would be great!", I respond. They check while I wait, discover they have no more, tell me refund will be put back on my card when they receive item. I've checked other sources, no one currently has this in stock. today, I wrapped the kit, and took it to the post office. of course, I now have to pay to insure and return the defective item. Ideas? How about a website that won't let you order "out of stock" items? How about keeping one of something on the shelf until the return window closes for recently filled orders just in case something is defective? How about defective return authorizations emailing a label which includes shipping costs to return the item? In the end, I paid for shipping, and the two items I really wanted are the two items I don't have. read more

I have been buying parts from Virginia Classic Mustang since 1986. Overall, their prices are better than the other mail order and online places, and I have always spoken to a real person when I call. Several years ago I received a gift certificate and forgot about it. Several years later when I found it, VCM honored it without any question. Actual shipping is calculated after a web order is placed, which is clearly explained if you're paying attention. I have had a great experience with VCM for nearly 30 years. read more

Overall great service and knowledgeable poeople. Prices are pretty good compared to everyone else in the Mustang business and they know their products. I do wish they had an 800#. The one time I had a problem they fixed it right away and it wasn't their fault anyway, just a badly made part that slipped through the cracks. read more

Sent wrong color paint (2 cans @ $14.95 ea.) Was not the color I ordered from their website. Light Ivy Gold p/n V5760 is what I ordered. They sent V5778. One tiny spray confirmed that the paint was way too dark. I called Drake (the can had Drake Auto on it) and they confirmed that VA Mustang sent the wrong color. I called VA Classic Mustang and told them what Drake said and gave them a contact at Drake to confirm their error. Even after this VA Mustang wanted me to pay to ship it back and they would let me know if they would refund. WHAT??? Wrong item sent and somehow I have to pay for return and they may or may not refund. Lots of places for Mustang parts. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them. Rude and poor business practices. Their website shows completely different then what was sent. Drake confirmed. Quick review search show many customers with similar stories. read more

Arrived in person after taking a 2-hour drive to check this place out in person only to have a young lady have no idea what she was looking for by using their website and not asking for help from anyone in the store and having no one there to ask questions or talk to about pulling the head to replace the head gasket. Disappointing to say the least after reading otherwise mostly good reviews. read more

Ordered one part from them. Throughout the checkout process and on the confirmation email I received, shipping was listed as $0.00. Great, I thought! But when the part showed up, my card was charged an additional $7.00 for shipping. When I emailed to inquire, they pointed me to a separate page of their website that states shipping will be added on after the fact. I even went back and went through the order process online to check - no mention of shipping being tacked on later. Even better than that, shipping for my item was $5.70. Turns out they also have a 'minimum charge' for shipping that they neglect to list anywhere! I contacted a customer service supervisor to explain that I felt conned. He said that is the way they do it, and I should have called in to place my order instead. I'll be taking my business somewhere else that has more honest business practices! read more

Ordered many parts from them thinking how helpful they were. Until NOTHING showed up and realized they didn't care. I've called 3 times over a 3 week period and it is always a different story. It has now been over 24 days and still no product. That being said, they also sold me parts they said were required for my project, yet come to find out, there were not needed and only padded the sale's reps pocket. Interestingly enough, these "unneeded" parts are the ones which actually showed up. Now they REFUSE to take back the few items i did receive (again, which were sold to me and not needed) and pay for the exorbitant shipping. Company is as close to a scam as possible. They lie about what they will do and charge more than any other company (including the MASSIVE shipping charges)! Anyone would be better off at Laurel Mountain, Mustang Depot, CJ Pony Parts or Mustangs to Fear. Through almost 10 years of restoration work, I've always ordered my parts from Virginia Classic Mustang. Probably 30-40 orders and have NEVER had a single issue with service, availability or quality. A new standard was set today when I called for some advice. Robert (might be the owner?) was able to walk me through the whole process for removing the power steering and telling me exactly what parts I would need to complete the change over. He fielded multiple calls as I was serving as the go between from VCM to my mechanic. EXCEPTIONAL in every way. As long as this 50 year old car keeps running, I'll keep buying my parts from Virginia Classic Mustang! read more
