I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. If you are looking for a quaint and cozy ambience with friendly service and amazing food -- this is your place. Everything from the selection of cheeses to the main pasta courses were nothing but top notch. Don't hesitate to make a stop. The prices are very reasonable with quality food. Big shout out to Silvano for providing exceptional customer service!

Truly a gem, maybe not so hidden! It can't be with food like that! We had a wonderful experience at Virginae. This was our first dinner in Rome. It really set the tone! We made reservations weeks in advance since we had a large party. Not sure if that's always necessary but I would recommend. The welcome was warm and the place was so unique. The layout was very clean and loved the design of the restaurant. The service was fantastic and the food was just as good. Not one of us had a bad dish. We tried most of the menu but by far for me the artichokes. I wish I had come back and ordered again. I also did. But no time. It was the best artichoke I have ever had! Yum! We had all of the pastas carbonara, amatricana, Cacio e Pepe, also the lamb, steak. Everything was great!! The wine options of course were delightful. We were too full for dessert but I'm sure it would have been fabulous. Must try when in Rome!

When in Rome, do as the Romans do. In this case, eat as the Romans eat I'm so glad a friend recommended this place to me! I saw prosciutto di melon and osso bucco on the menu and knew it was going to good. This was hands down the second best meal we ate the entire trip. We ordered a prosciutto di melon because Yelp BFF has never tried it. We also ordered the osso bucco and ravioli with sage and butter sauce. The prosciutto di melon (prosciutto and melon) also came with arugula. Since it was winter, they supplemented cantaloupe for one in season. The three simple ingredients paired together very well. The osso bucco was melt in your mouth tender. Each piece came with bone marrow that tasted like heaven. The pasta was light, fluffy and packed with flavor. I'm still dreaming about the osso bucco. I think I need to book a ticket back to Italy ASAP! Thanks for reading my reviews! Let me know what I should try next!

There were so many places close by our hotel to eat! I'm so glad that a friend recommended this! My yelp bff said I had to try this proscuitto and melon dish and I'm so glad I had it! I was told normally it's done with cantaloupe but since it isn't in season when we went we got it with a melon instead. It wasn't even on the menu so guess just gotta be in the know! It was served with argula and a vinaigrette which cut the salty sweet taste. We orderd an osso bucco and a ravioli with sage and butter sauce. The ravioli was so simple but so flavorfull! The osso bucco was so tender! there was also bone marrow that was really easy to take out and so delicious! This was our last meal before leaving Rome and I'm so glad that we had it.

We came here on our first full day in Rome as part of our 2 week trip to Italy. And honestly, I think the food we had here was one of the best meals of our entire trip, so we were starting off our vacation strong. We came for a late lunch and the restaurant was mostly empty and wonderfully air conditioned which made it the perfect ambiance to enjoy a nice and quiet meal after the chaos of our Vatican tour. We ordered the Cacio e Pepe and the Amatriciana which were both so good. The staff were kind and I will be thinking about the Cacio e Pepe for a long time...

At the recommendation of Francesca from the Rome River Inn, we made reservations at Virginiae. We started with the house wine and as a starter the costino ham and mozzarella and first course of lasagna. We shared as the portions are hearty. The tiramisu is an excellent finish. The music is 100% awesome and the overall vibe of the restaurant is calming and so relaxing. Our server Hema L. Was so attentive, engaging and really made us feel special. A definite place to return when we are back in town.

Silvano was absolutely stupendous! He was so helpful in helping us choose delicious menu items. The food was extremely authentic and fresh. It was recommended to us by a family friend. Great service!!

We quickly learned that dinner reservations were a thing in Rome, and were lucky to snag a table via Trip Advisor. This was probably my most favorite restaurant during our time in Rome, primarily because we were just blown away by the quality of the food and the ambience. We were seated outside near one of the bubbling water fountains, and the night breeze was just lovely. We shared a starter with the cold cut meats, cheese, and variety of sauces/bread. The highlight: the gnocchi! It was to die for!!! We also shared a bottle of wine as well. What an amazing dinner with quality food, romantic ambience, and great service. On Trip Advisor, there's thousands of reviews, but don't worry, the food/establishment definitely meets the hype!

Review # 1200 After…read moresome shopping on the Via cola Di Riemzo, we were ready for lunch. This spot was a Yelp find. We arrived just before they opened at 12:30. We asked for a table outside and the kind lady asked us if we had a reservation (oh oh). We didn't. No problem as we took our pick of one of the tables. Two levels inside with a small Bar in the back. Before we knew it, outside seating was full and inside also filled up-a good sign. We ordered a liter (ended up being too much but when in Rome...) of their house Red and enjoyed it. For starters, we ordered the Fried Artichokes (thick breading and will order the Roman style with garlic/vinegar next time), fried Zucchini and Suppli-Cacio Pepe. The Suppli was delicious and was enjoyed the most. For main, it was Pasta Carbonara (Guanciale )-Proper carbonara and the streak of not having a bad version of this dish in Rome continues. The sliced Beef with mushrooms was also delicious -super tender and thin pieces of beef (medium rare as requested). We asked if the Tiramisu was house-made. Our server answered, "yes, and I am the one who makes it." How could we not order after that?! One of the best Tiramisus we've had. Perfect balance of coffee dipped lady fingers with cream-delicious! Our Server was kind, attentive and full of hustle -she was covering a lot of ground. Don't miss this Gem if you are in the Prati district.

Would definitely return.

This shop is more of a countertop order from their limited menu but the menu is executed so well you'll be tempted to order multiple bowls. There are a few stools and table out front to enjoy your food hot. Both times I've been on separate visits within two years, has only shown me how consistent their food and quality is. You can pair your dishes with an aperol spritz or mini bottle of wine for less than five euros. The pasta was about nine to eleven euros and the portions were more than plenty. The chef and owner are super nice and very informative about their dishes. If you are a fan of spice you have to try their chef-recommended dish. They had one dish topped with pancetta and I just about wanted to lick my bowl clean. Everyone in the group was raving how delicious it was. Egg will forever be on my must-have when visiting Rome.
