I appreciate Steady Eddy's for keeping us caffeinated when we were in town got a wedding. The menu is straightforward and I appreciated that. Stopped here while in the area for hubby to get coffee. Surprised to see they had other things there besides just coffee. Cute indoor and outdoor space. Many options to choose from. Hubby enjoyed his coffee. Service was nice but a little on the slower side from what I remember. It's in a great area with many local restaurants and shops to walk to. I've stopped here before and knew they usually carry prepackaged gluten-free brownies--perfect for the road. This time, I tried their special iced Horchata Macchiato. It was just okay. Quite the locals place. I go everyday for breakfast and iced coffee. Everything has been consistently good. I can't say enough good things about the staff. They are friendly, very caring and efficient. They always greet people with a smile for both local or visitors. I've been here many times when they get inundated by bike riders and visitors. Apparently ordering a coffee to go is too much to ask if you have a dog with you. Katie made it clear my business wasn't wanted--no explanation, no courtesy, just attitude. This is a coffeehouse. I ordered a 16 oz cappuccino. I got about 6 ounces of coffee in about a 12 oz cup. The balance of the cup was full of light foam. Asked a server about it,he said "I didn't make it.". I asked at the counter. She explained "I didn't make it.". She brought out a third employee. She described her approach. Equal parts espresso and milk in the cup then fill it up with foam. When I pointed out, based on my coffee drinking experience in Milan and Venice, that this is not how a cappuccino is made she explained "That is the way we make them here.". When you're the only coffee shop in a small town, you have ONE JOB..... And I can happily say that this place has it down! I have been working in the small town of Winters for the last month and half, and I had been looking for local places to eat. While I did find the eateries, I didn't quite look into the local coffee shop(s). Then I came across this local coffee gem and the only coffeehouse in Winters that I know of that is! Located in downtown Winters and across the street from a nice park and it's surrounded by other eateries as well. They have everything, from coffee, smoothies, breakfast and lunch! They have Panini's and salads. I absolutely LOVE their breakfast bowl! Soooo hearty and filling! I ordered their breakfast bowl and ended up having it for lunch, totally satisfying and filled me up! I love their ice blended coffees! The ice is just blended so smoothly and fine! Love that texture for sure, and the customer service is amazing everytime! I always call ahead since I'm coming from Sacramento, so as soon as I hit Dixon; I make that call and the girls have my order ready once I hit Winters. Winters is a very small town which is growing. When you come into this coffee shop, you will notice that all the people whether workers or customers, all know each other! Recently have gone back to Steady Eddy's and can tell they did have better training involved! I tried one of their new monthly drinks the mocha coconut and it tasted good! The espresso shots seem to be good as well now, but I only tried an iced latte now instead of an hot latte. I have not tried out the food again, but will have to stop by sometime and try it out. This place is always busy on the weekends, so expect a little bit of a wait since everyone and including bikers want to stop by! read more

Early morning drive on the backroads to Lake Berryessa. On the way back, I got hungry so stopped here. They have a warm space with six tables inside and more tables outside on a wrap around porch. Overall a very mellow vibe. Good coffee (they allow refills), nice people and many breakfast options. I got the breakfast panini with turkey on sourdough. It took a little while for the food but it was yummy. It came with a small side of fruit that was a nice surprise. read more

Steady Eddy's is a nice little cafe in the rural town of Winters. They serve many different breakfast items as well as sandwiches and panini's. I usually come here for breakfast and I've never been disappointed. On this particular day I had the waffles with strawberries and whipped cream. The waffles were nicely cooked and topped with the just the right amount of strawberries and cream. The food comes out hot, so the wait can be a little long. The coffee here is good as well, I normally opt for the light roast. The customer service here is amazing as well. The staff here are friendly and always been greeted with a smile. I love this spot! The owners are super nice and the staff is always friendly and helpful! We always stop here when we are in Winters to get some coffee or tea or smoothies (which is what my kids like to get). We also really like their pastries, they are delicious! I love that they have an array of items to buy from all kinds of local businesses like honey, art, wine, beer, jewelry, etc... It's so cool to see businesses supporting each other in this way! You can get your coffee and shop for a gift or a memento from your trip all at the same time! We enjoy their food items as well! The breakfast and lunch are very good here for a quick bite and the staff was super open to requests like taking the tomato off a salad or sandwich. Overall, we continue to look forward to our visits when we are in the area. I came into steady eddys for my first time they had a lovely staff but there was a lady there looked like a boss or person in charge talking to all employees while working and it was fairly busy because she was distracting the barista it took about 10 minutes for my drink to come out completely unprofessional for a person in charge to talk to employees while they are working. read more

Nope! Not a good "first time" experience. My wife and I have been enjoying Winters as much as possible. From the good food, beer and wine, and sometimes live music, it's always been a great time and good all around experiences. But on Sunday, 9/5/2021, at about 2:30pm, my wife and I had been looking forward to having lunch at Steady Eddy's for the first time. We opened the door, walked in and was immediately beaten over the head with this greeting: "YOU NEED A MASK!" There was no, Hi! Welcome! NOPE! Just some 19 y/o female moron with no customer service or any people skills whatsoever. Yeah, I know. I should've had my mask on. It was literally in my hand. We just left a nearby business that weren't enforcing it. All other places nearby had much better customer service till we arrive here. I'm not one to get easily bothered, but I expect better and friendlier behavior. Anyway, I'll never know what their food is like. Never will. I'll tell a friend. Oh and btw, hopefully someone from management will read this. But when they do, they'll gather on SnapChat with all of their idiotic servants and giggle like a bunch of 8th graders, passing the blame on my complaint and not learning damn thing from this experience. This is a nice little coffee shop in "downtown" Winters. The coffee and service decent. The ambiance could be better. The decor is nice but it sometimes seems as if it's a coffee kiosk at a busy airport or train station. I've never been there when it wasn't busy. Perhaps at those times the ambiance is better.? Excellent Cafe! I was in Winters for a wedding event and stay in the town for two nights. I went to Steady Eddy's for both breakfasts during my time in Winters. Staff was super nice and were quick to bring out food soon after I ordered. The first time I went I ordered the chicken pesto (this isn' breakfast but I got this at 11am and it was my first meal of the day ;)). The chicken was a great size and I love pesto and I especially loved that they put pesto on both slices of the bread. It was a perfect lunch, not too heavy, and it came with a side of macaroni salad. My second breakfast was a breakfast wrap with bacon. When I buy breakfast burritos (or wraps) I typically want a nice big filling burrito. This was a medium size and it still kept me full until a late lunch in the afternoon. The burrito came with tomatoes, onion, and other vegetables inside and it tasted freeesh. The wrap was a medium size but it was damn good quailty breakfast wrap that really hit the spot! read more
