It's expensive but the quality is worth it- especially for the deli/bakery/sandwich/cakes!! So special & so delicious!

I recently reached out to my Facebook community looking for a specific brand of strawberry milk that I usually get from Dixon, but the drive out there can be pretty far just for milk alone. Multiple people recommended Nugget Market and told me they carried the exact brand, so I checked Google, saw they opened at 6 AM, and decided to head over early in the morning. I got there around 6:30 AM and was honestly so impressed. First of all -- they actually had the milk! But what really surprised me was everything else they already had fully stocked and ready that early in the morning. They had a pasta bar, salad bar, breakfast bar, deli items, and beautiful cakes all ready to go. The cakes I've tried from there are AMAZING! And that's not even including the rest of the grocery store itself. Everything looked fresh, organized, and high quality. The whole experience made me realize I seriously need to start grocery shopping here more often. Definitely worth the visit and highly recommend stopping by if you haven't before! read more

We came here on the way home to the bay from Shingle Springs. It was 8PM on a Sunday night and we wanted a quick dinner to grab to-go. Glad to say their deli section was still open around the time. Love the variety of sandwiches they provided, we got the roast beef with horseradish. It was really good, killed all of it. There's also a cafe in the middle that serves coffee/drinks/smoothies and even acai bowl. They were closing down when we arrived. The dessert section was amazing too, wanted to buy some cakes but had no reason to! The selection of food was plenty and the space is big. Grabbed some snacks in the chip and cookie aisle for the road, along with some drinks to go. I would totally drop by here next time if we're on the road and need a quick stop! read more

Let's start off with the outside of the store since there is a lot more store around this place they share the parking but still lots of parking and handicap parking as well. Besides the fact that there is alot of other stores around this place they have it very cleaned up no trash on the floor and no carts just wondering the parking lot. When you walk in your eyes can't seem to stay focus on one thing. You want to look at everything they have and all the wonderful fresh fruit and vegetables they have too. We decided to go to the deli and order sandwiches for our lunch since we were going wine tasting and needed to bring our own food. This is what we ordered Wife ordered - cosmopolitan sandwich Friend ordered- Calistoga sandwich I ordered- carnitas torta We decided to grab chips a French baguette some sodas and chocolates. Total for everything was $60 something each sandwich was from $13-$15 each totality worth it. I wanted to look at their desserts and to my surprise I saw one that really made my stomach upset there was a dessert with hair on it and you could tell it had hair on it because the other onces behind it had no design or chocolate drizzle on nothing after looking at that I said umm yeah no definitely won't be buying my desserts from here unless the are prepackaged from another place. Overall the experience was amazing really loved every bit of this place.the person who took our sandwich order was amazing and very friendly definitely went above and beyond thank you Now for the moment of truth is this place Dendinger approved???? I can't believe this is one of the first times I've visited Nugget Vacaville. They have great sandwiches, desserts, and a fresh cafe for coffee, smoothies, and even açaí bowls. All on top of being a fresh grocery store. Located in a shopping plaza, I came in on a Saturday around lunch to order sandwiches. I ordered the Blast, Durango, and I ordered the El Matador. All really good sandwiches. There was a line and a little wait. I picked up a slice of key lime pie. And I ordered a nutty açaí, red eye smoothie and green dynamo. Everything was so fresh and it was a little busy for a Saturday so there was a wait. I also like how there are tables and you can enjoy your fresh food there. read more

I always find the unexpected here at Nugget. Their products are more tailored to that of a specialty store vs the larger super grocery stores. The prices are higher though. That said the bakery has to be my favorite section. The displays are so inviting and the sweet treats inside taste delectable! Today we tried the caramel, apple cake and loved it!! I don't know her name but she was very helpful. I didn't want the larger package of corn bread so she packaged an individual one for me. The slices are also ample. Love Miller's hot dog products and found Halal frankfurters. Can't wait to try those. They had a generous supply of pumpkins on display - ready for the season. read more

I come here a couple times a month while I'm charging my car. Usually to get the basics. Very clean supermarket, great selection and good prices. The one thing that surprised me was getting a chocolate overflow cake from the bakery for a coworker's birthday. It was honestly the best chocolate birthday cake I've ever eaten. And my coworkers agreed. Now. I have to come here every time someone requests a chocolate cake. read more

I haven't been to the Nugget in years, but decided to go there because I heard they carry some of the best deli meats in town. I have to say, when I saw their deli meats and what the meat and fish department had on display I was pretty impressed. The servers are very friendly and helpful too. After walking around for a bit surveying the store, I went to the deli department and their rosemary grilled tri-tip caught my eye. I ended up getting a lb. of that which went for $22 a lb! Yikes! One thing about Nugget is it's not necessarily cheap, but from the look of the quality I think it could be worth it. I also got some French rolls and provolone cheese from the grocery aisles so I can have sandwiches for lunch this week. Again, it's a little on the pricey side; but top notch quality is what it's all about. I'm sure I will return and try other things at the Nugget. read more

I stopped by to get my favorite bread loaf from this store, and based on my previous experience, I thought it would be great. However, I was sorely mistaken. The bread was pale, misshapen, gummy, and bland. I can't tell if the team is rushing the process, or if this store is staying on brand with other location and making bad quality bread and selling it for a premium price. However, whatever changed needs to be corrected as soon as possible. It was probably the worst bread I've ever had. read more

I always shop here and there The açaí bowls are good, but the customer service is consistently rude. Staff come off irritated and dismissive for no reason, which makes the whole experience feel negative. It's not a one-time thing either it happens almost every visit. I don't expect over-the-top friendliness, but basic respect and a normal attitude shouldn't be too much to ask. Management should really look into this because it's pushing customers away read more

Dumbfounded. I visited this grocery store today from 4pm-5:45pm and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. When I checked out, the girl bagger placed my hot food containers at the very bottom of my bags. As a result, the containers spilled all over the bag when I was loading groceries into my trunk. When I got home, I also discovered that my Dutch crunch turkey sandwich from the deli section had been overly toasted to the point of being tough to eat. Between the poor bagging and the lack of care with my deli order, I honestly left feeling very frustrated and dissatisfied. I hope the store management addresses these issues so future customers receive better service and food handling. read more

I generally like shopping here, but I'm frustrated by several things, including the sad state of the produce dept and the sloppy cake writing in the bakery. They ruin the lettuces by shoving them into the metal displays so tightly that they get ripped apart by shoppers and severely wilted because the ends are not getting any moisture. The fruit flies around the berries and grapes are especially troublesome, and they are present more often than not. A recent custom cake looked like a child wrote the birthday message. The shaved parmesan I purchased had mold in it. Not once, but three times now! The butter lettuce I just purchased was rotten inside. It makes me wonder if maybe they aren't careful enough with temp control? read more

Origami class should be required for new employees. Usually we have no issues with going in and getting our items. We came here many times for a German chocolate cake but today was something new. The guy took over 20 minutes trying to fold together a cake box...a huge cake box. And he didn't do a great job because our cake flopped around. read more

The cheese selection is amazing. Their kombucha selection is great, customer service is awesome! The organic food selection is not as vast as Sprouts across the freeway but they offer a bunch of options. I'm going to picture a certain coconut water that I definitely do not recommend. this location has the worst hiring manager ever because why does everybody suck at their job? I've seen more urgency in a DMV employee. I ordered a sandwich and it took over half an hour when nobody else was there.. the coffee bar always has a weird bad attitude, but I'm still gonna come here cause the sandwiches and smoothies are still pretty good lol. read more

I'm giving this store five stars but not because of my experience today, I will cover that at the end of this review. Britney with the purple hair working at the store today gets a zero star. I had started to be frustrated. This is one of my favorite nuggets to stop at when I'm traveling between Sacramento and San Francisco. I don't do my general shopping here because of how far it is from the city so I don't quite know where everything is. I usually stop and get specialty items, but in preparation for the holiday, I had much to buy. I was frustrated because I asked six different people where things were, and nobody could tell me, but it turns out it was for a good reason this store nugget they have other stores cover so that each individual stores employees can have a holiday party together. I'm giving them five stars, because that is outstanding that they organize something like that so that they can value their employees This market is spotless and carries such a wide variety of items. I wish I lived closer Now, for the not so good, I walked up to a purple haired woman whose name was Britney. I parked my car at her register. She looked at my near $700 worth of products and said oh are you here for me or the other cashier clearly not wanting to help me. I drove my car over to the other gentleman and he and his assistant were outstanding. I noted that Britney with the purple hair turned away another guest with a large basket of items. Britney is lazy. Maybe Britney should not be a cashier at nugget markets I know she doesn't belong to this one, and I wish I could warn you, where not to shop but you don't want Britney with the purple hair helping you she's lazy Again, a huge shout out to nugget markets for taking care of their employees. I have to say that before Britney this is the first obnoxious employee I have met at nugget markets, and I shop at them in Sacramento, Vacaville and the Bay Area. I have to give nugget five out of five stars. There's no nugget market where I live. So every time I go to Vacaville, I'll make it a point to stop at nugget market. Their deli section, bakery, fresh sushi, sandwiches, coffee station, and juicing bar are amazing. For those of us that don't live by the nugget market in Vacaville I can only describe it to you as a Whole Foods and Trader Joe's on crack. But crack in a good way. This store is so beautiful when you walk in it makes you want to look at everything. Because of the cleanliness and beautiful arrangements of everything in the store, I can spend well over an hour just walking around, looking at everything and selecting the items that I want. Every time I go to Vacaville for a work function,, this is my go to store for snacks and even my breakfast for the next morning. They have the best premade breakfast sandwiches ready to go. They have fresh Aji tuna to snack on. You really truly have to take time to walk around the store to see all the beautiful things and fresh items that they have. I've never bought anything from the store that did not taste fresh and was not visually appealing. Their cake section is so beautiful. I even love the premade sandwiches. The way they package them, makes you want to buy them, and when you do buy them, you will not regret it because it's so good. Every time I go, all of the employees are in such a good mood and they are quick to answer any questions that I may have. Check out is always easy. I have been shopping at the Vacaville Browns Valley store for 22 years. Below are my overdue, full spectrum review: THE GREAT: 95% of all associates; produce are as as fresh as they come; management leads by example (I have seen store director & his assistant Brad pulling shopping carts from the parking lot, rolled up their sleeves doing basic cleanings themselves as well as working the iles due to short staff), now that's LEADING BY EXAMPLE, STRONG, VERY STRONG! In addition, 2 of the 3 more seasoned PICs are very customer-centric & follow through. That's muy beuno THE GOOD: lunch & dinner hot food; majority of the deli department (the most difficult dept); the chosen few at the seafood & meat dept (the 2nd most difficult dept) THE OPPORTUNITIES: the 5%; when you see someone wonders around, going around in circles ... step up & help them (treat them the way you would like to be treated when you are shopping at a store, not avoiding eye contact or walk towards the opposite direction); finally (sry Erik) please, PLEASE do not put boxed hot foods on the bottom of the paper bag (now let's just think that through for a minute) ... In closing, I've been asking myself why I go to the Nugget 4, 5 times a week (and on occasion twice a day), and the truth is I am really forgetful. Earlier today (pulling out of the parking lot), I found myself smiling driving home. I was happy. I was in a mood. That's when i realized Nugget is more than just a grocery store to me. My goal this month was to learn how make my own sushi rolls. While visiting the store all the way from 94538, I saw unagi in seafood section of the butcher shop. Initially I thought it was a bit much for someone learning, but after explaining to the guys behind the counter what I was doing, they gave me encouragement and tips on what to do. Nugget Markets is like the cool uncle of grocery stores. The inside doesn't feel artificial like a chain store and actually has personality which makes it all the more welcoming. The woodwork of the building and plant decorations around the store give it a homely feel. The inside is sectioned off into different parts like a typical grocery store--bakery, produce, frozen, deli, etc. One of my favorite parts of the store is the counter towards the front where they sell drinks. You can tell the employees work hard to keep the store clean and organized, because it definitely shows. Now I'll admit, prices here are a bit steep, but that doesn't mean they're devoid of deals and specials. Just keep an eye out for those and you can save a few dollars. read more

The Nugget is my go to for everything. I seriously could live in it! lol I love their sandwiches and I always get The Blast (Which is no longer on the menu) but if you ask for it, they'll most certainly make it. I am obsessed with their sushi avocado rolls, if they don't have any out they can make it for you. I also very much enjoy their green dynamo smoothies & I add whey protein. The freshly squeezed juice, the beautifier is also bomb. The employees are always so welcoming and helpful. The whole store is always so put together and organized. I love it there! read more

Let me start this by saying we get EVERY cake for every occasion here. I shop here every week but I'm in here probably four days out of the week buying things ( pretty much the only store i get groceries from) and I was more than disappointed in the cake that I picked up for my husband on Friday. I called two days ahead, which is required, expecting a nice fresh cake. They used to sometimes show you before they box it but she didn't show it to me. She just went and got it and put it in a box and gave it to me. It looks like it maybe it sat in the case for awhile before it was put in the fridge in the back...It was NOT a fresh cake...it didn't taste fresh and it didn't look fresh. The fruit was very old and mushy on top of the cake as well as inside, and these cakes are not cheap. We ate it because we were celebrating my husbands Birthday but I was not happy. A couple of years ago my husband picked up a princess cake for me for my Birthday from here and the fondant was all buckled up on the bottom like almost looked like a melting candle. I told the manager and I believe he gave me a $20 gift card or something. There's no excuse for this. This is a really nice store/bakery and when you spend this kind of money on cakes they should be fresh and beautiful. I doubt I'll get anymore cakes here unless I see them in the case and I can see that they're fresh. Do better guys I really love this store/bakery. read more

This is my go yo store for recipe ingredients. They market unique dairy products, fruits, and pastries. My favorite is their mini quiche pies . Great salad bar, hot breakfast/lunch/ dinner choices. To die for pre- packaged salads. The turkey arugula is one of my favorite. They carry everything ... fresh meats/ seafood station, the best pre-pack breakfast sausage, huge variety of protein products, plant based foods, and nice wine selection. If you like hotdogs they carry a plant based brand that I prefer over Oscar Meyer's or any beef hotdog brand on the market. They have small portion size foods. Fresh baked breads, cornbread... I can go on and on. I must warn you... their prices are a bit high if you are shopping for staples. They do have great sales if you download their app. Again, I shop for their unique items for cooking, exploring new foods and the small serving options. Customer service is EXCELLENT!!! Store shelves stay stocked, it's clean, and opens at 6am. I hope there's a Nugget market where you live. read more

I've only been going to nugget for about 2 to 3 months. I really like the cleanliness of the store and how everything is laid out. They have a very friendly staff, too, however, beware of their seafood/meat department. While at the market on Good Friday, I decided to pick up some wild caught king salmon. Previously, I've bought King salmon here at a price of $29.99 per pound. However, I noticed that it was not marked(in fact, at 10 AM, none of their seafood was marked name or pricing). I just assumed the price was the same but I was wrong and did not realize until I got home that they charged me $39.99 per pound. Wow, that's $10 more than before. I called them back just to confirm that that was the correct price and they confirmed it. However, when I cooked it that night, it definitely was NOT King salmon. The taste, texture and oils of king. Salmon were not present at all. It tasted more like farm raised.... Totally ripped me off. Buyer beware read more

The morning hot breakfast is a must see , everything is hot and fresh always and they have veggie options for the vegetarian and vegan folks , all the employees are always ready to help and get you on your way , definitely recommend stopping in and grabbing a sandwich for lunch as well read more

Additional, you can order sandwiches at the deli area, they have a menu of types of sandwiches you can order & I was surprised that you can order a banh mi sandwich here & will definitely would try it next time I come here! I love this store just too bad it's insanely overpriced for the most part. I check prices here then look elsewhere for the same thing and it's usually cheaper elsewhere but I love coming here for the deli! The sandwiches are made to order and always so so good!
