I had a really disappointing experience with Visage Dermatology and would not recommend them based on their billing practices alone. At the time of my visit, I was told my copay would be $25. Three months later, I received a surprise bill saying it was actually $77 per visit. When I contacted the office to understand the discrepancy, they offered no real explanation and told me it was my responsibility to contact my insurance because they "don't have time" to do so. That's unacceptable--verifying and correctly billing insurance is a basic part of running a medical practice. To make matters worse, I scheduled a follow-up appointment that, in hindsight, felt like a complete money grab. During that visit, the NP told me they had been out of the steroid injection I needed for several months. If that's the case, there was no reason to have me come in and pay for another visit when they couldn't actually provide the treatment. Between the misleading copay quote, lack of accountability, and unnecessary follow-up visit, this experience felt more focused on billing than patient care. I would strongly suggest others proceed with caution and double-check everything before agreeing to treatment here. read more

They do not carry Botox. What they are carrying is obviously a cheaper version and it does not work. I went back twice now ($$$$) and I STILL have frown lines between my eyes. When I called AGAIN, they said they'd give me 10units of Botox on them and that they'd call me back when it came in. They never did and when I called back AGAIN they said they would not be receiving the 10 units of Botox and to come back in for a consult. WHY WOULD I COME BACK IN FOR ANOTHER CONSULT?? I've been going to Visage Dermatology for over 5 years and they are steadily going downhill in a huge way. First, I got 7 reminders for my appointment. I confirmed each time and they just kept calling, texting and emailing me. Why do you need to bother me 7 times. I have NEVER missed an appointment. Then they require you to be at the office 15 minutes prior. So I do and then have to sit there for over 20 minutes while the doctor ate lunch. Sorry but my time is just as important as anyone Had a procedure done and supposed to get antibiotics. Dr never called in the prescription. THEY ARE NO LONGER RELIABLE. read more

First off, I am happy to have found a dermatologist that has more than several openings for new patients. Most dermatologists aren't able to see new patients until a few months out when you book your appointment. As an added bonus, this office has online scheduling and paperwork. I love places that are so efficient such as this one! Mariel, the woman checking in patients was personable and helpful when it came to answering questions about my paperwork. I didn't have to wait long until I was brought into an examination room. Sylvia and Dr. Lockwood were also very friendly and attentive when it came to my dermatological concerns. Dr. Lockwood had an excellent bedside manner and proposed several options for me regarding my treatment. This office has been in its location for a while and the exterior is a bit outdated. However, the interior is updated. There is minimal parking, so you may need to park in the street. read more

Very nice office. Clean, well decorated, and welcoming. The front desk staff was helpful and efficient and I was seen within 10 minutes of entering the new office. They have online registration, which I took advantage of - that may have been the reason for the short wait time. The doctor and nurses were extremely nice and helpful. I went in for a skin screening, verified that they accepted my insurance over the phone and in person, the visit was carried out, payed my copay and everything was fine ..after over one year and half I received an email from the clinic stating that I owed the full amount of the bill,forgetting that I previously verified my insurance and payed the given copay..called their billing department and got cleared out and given apologies, just to receive another email from Mia Clemons, she was really rude and unprofessional on the phone and had no clue that the issue had already been addressed, instead she went ahead making rude comments, and totally ignoring the fact. The billing department needs to be retrained, or at least posses some basic customer service skills. read more

Visage dermatology is absolutely the worst office I have ever dealt with. I have been going to them for years and they do nothing but disappoint. It is finally time to move on. First of all, I bought an overpriced laser hair removal package. Long story short, their equipment was extremely outdated (those were the exact words that my dermatologist used to describe the machine) and my SIX treatments were unsuccessful. My hair growth was not reduced AT ALL....not even a little bit! I knew something wasn't right, so throughout the entire process, I expressed my dissatisfaction after each treatment. They promised me that we would review the results at the end of my package and take care of it. That never happened because they shut down for months during covid, removed their laser hair removal service, and the dermatologist that was performing my treatments left to go work somewhere else. So basically, I got screwed over. If that isn't bad enough, the process of dealing with the office itself was a total nightmare. Their management is the worst I have ever experienced. I can't tell you how many times they called to cancel and reschedule my appointments. It was about 5 times for just me alone (and I have the voicemails to prove it). Other times, they would tell me the laser machine isn't working and that I would have to come back. My parents were both patients of Visage and they too frequently had their appointments and check ups cancelled. The management is so beyond disorganized, unresponsive, and shady. I called multiple times for months trying to get a hold of an office manager. They wouldn't give me her number, but told me she would give me a call to sort things out. Never once did she call. I am all about second chances and giving a business the opportunity to remedy a situation. But Visage messed up so many times I lost count. Not once did they try to fix the situation. I would never recommend Visage Dermatology to anyone, not even my worst enemy. Please save your time and money by going somewhere else! read more

I called to make an appointment and they wanted my social security number, which I declined to prpvide over the phone. They said I'd need to give it to them when I got there. I asked them how they store social security numbers and the person on the phone said it's plain text. So no encryption, no nothing. Visage dermatology is the best office I ever visited. I had struggled with acne for year and Dr.Tang addressed my skin problems right away. He even found me a great pharmacy. Within a year my acne had dissipated. I don't know why these other patients had such bad experiences but I suggest they go in with questions. I feel like they have never seen a dermatologist before. Still can't understand why I can get my money back. About 5 months ago I visited this office, wanted to have an evaluation to consider Laser treatment in order to remove aging spots on my hands. Dr. Randy Tang was the doctor in charge, he told me that I was a perfect candidate, because I had a few dark spots and the result will be excellent. I was so happy to hear that, they gave me an estimate $ 510.00 total, 2 payments. I accepted. After my first treatment I noticed a little improvement. But after the second and third laser treatments I had really bad reaction, my hands got worse. The dark spots got darker and more of the came out. I was very disappointed. I just wanted a those dark spots to disappear. I always returned for consultation when I had that bad reaction. First, they told me that was the sun block, later that was a bad reaction to the laser, the doctor offered to treat the spots with another technique (freezing), he did it with one of the spots, and the result was a white and decelerated spot (even worse). After a lot of research by myself, I concluded that he used an inadequate dose of laser. When I asked for my money back, he told me that that won't be possible and he is not in charge for the finances. I asked him to be a little empathetic, if you go anywhere for a service or product and doesn't work or looks the way you expected, you have the right to return that product or service, I am very sure he also takes the benefit of this policy. But, in this case, I couldn't my money back, even when the final result was even worse. They have pictures of the before and after to prove it. I also have pictures that I can share with anyone that want more details. When I requested an appointment with Dr. Alexandria Kongsiri (the owner), they denied to me. As a student doctor of physical therapy I have a good idea on how a skin evaluation proceeds. If you are looking for a holistic approach to your skin and healthcare needs I suggest you go elsewhere. The only reason I spent more than 10 minutes with the doctor is because I questioned what they were saying and why, as well as requested alternative treatments that I would a assume the average patient would not. It seemed as though my doctor couldn't be bothered with me and the lack of eye contact was disconcerting. I got a biopsy and was not told how to take care of it following and when discussing an ingrown hair I was concerned about I was told to see a different doctor in the practice because that is more their specialty. For a $50 copay I do not want to see another doctor especially if I would receive the same glossed over approach of an exam. As someone with cancer prone skin my scalp, back, and pelvic floor is not something I can easily examine on myself and is why I requested a full body skin assessment. This woman lifted up one chunk of my hair and said "yup scalp looks good" as though she had done a through job. Furthermore did not check key locations in pubic region. After my appointment I cried because I know that people are being taken advantage of in healthcare and are not educated on how to advocate for themselves or their treatment. Lastly the ointment prescribed was sent to a pharmacy that was out of my network who wanted $85, I can't afford this and would have appreciated being told the potential price and options in my appointment. I took my 89 year old father here to have his skin examined as we had some spot that looked concerning. Doctor Tang was compassionate and kind. He was very thorough. He took his time to carefully evaluate him. Coming from California and having been to many top-notch Physicians I can honestly say that I was extremely impressed. Dr Tang's bedside manner and ability to relate and carefor my father was amazing. His office staff was accomadating, professional, and friendly . I've taken my father too many other doctors appointments and unfortunately the experience was not the same. I have been going to visage for 8 years. I'm sorry to have to write a two star review . Seems every time I go back there's a different Dr. that sees me. I request as a patient with prior melanoma that I am seen by Dr K or Dr B as they both have been extremely aggressive and consistent with making sure I am free of any further melanoma. For this I give them both 5 stars. I have not been seen by Dr T so I have no review of his methods with patients. Now my review on Dr. Laurie Nelson. It takes one bad seed to ruin a garden. On November 21, 2018 I was seen by Dr Nelson. Actually two of us were. [ If Dr K is interested it would be easy to figure out] The two of us had our appointments at the same time. The Dr continuously stated "oh I don't THINK we need to worry about this, I don't think - I don't think - I kept thinking to myself I don't think but I know I made a mistake allowing her to check my and my wife's skin. She basically looked at the two of us without getting close - looking in the head- between the toes- in the areas off limit to public view if you understand - She just went off our words and stated what ever you want. I chose the Blue Light procedure since I'm a business owner and at my last visit with Dr K we discussed that I needed to do at my next visit. Ok so Dr Nelson who stated "I think" you look fine stated she would have me in right after holiday Monday or Tuesday to have procedure done. Well it's january 21 2019 no call- no appointment- But bills for all the extra services she didn't do. If I could take a picture of the 400 dollars in above money they request AFTER our (good) insurance pays out the amount that should have covered the entire bills minus deductible then Dr k would understand why I will no longer be returning. Since I'm at high risk for repeated melanoma I would like a Dr that shows concerns for her patients and hires quality Doctors. I personally have sent 7 New potential patients to visage. Four have seen Dr K or Dr B. The other three said they would never return again because of either the office treatment or the Dr they saw. All saw Dr Nelson who did not return. In closing again I'm sorry for the two star. It takes a village to become successful- It takes one bad seed to ruin a garden. I highly recommend Dr Kongsiri and PA Baindurashvili I have not been seen by Dr Tang. But for the rest of the village I would think twice before sitting at their table. $400 for two of us in extra costs - no follow ups - no procedures- Not much of an examination - I'm a believer even if your a Dr there's always room to grow. Dr. Randy Tang is the MD I see. As I am a Senior, Dr. Tang's calm and professional demeanor is important to me. I always feel comfortable and at ease. The exams are very thorough and explanations given are very clear. The office staff couldn't be nicer. It is easy to make an appointment, and there is little to no wait time. After I paid for a procedure in full, when I arrived for my procedure, they informed me that their office personnel had made a mistake and that I would have to pay an additional $800 to have the treatment. I told them I paid in full, but they refused to accept that and wouldn't even fulfill the part I paid for. One year later, after they put me off over and over, I still have not had my full treatment.
