We bought a pool from viscount had it about 1 year and a half had a few problems and called them up they were fantastic quick service mark and Jeff forgot other guys name but all in all every time I call they come out right away. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! I do mean all costs since it will cost you hundreds of dollars to fix their mistakes. We purchased a pool table from them and had it installed. They failed to mention that the space we had designated for the table was not wide enough and installed it there anyway. It is impossible to play without the cue hitting the wall, making it impossible to play a game. When I called to rectify the situation, they said they would move it, but would have to pay for them to do it. The cost to move a pool table is $500 or more. They told me that they put a table where the customer wants it. When I pointed out that they are the experts, and we rely on them to measure the space and tell us if it will fit there properly, I was told that we agreed to the spot and that was enough. They then told us that they remembered the install, and that he clearly remembers measuring it and telling us that it would be a tight fit and this would be a problem. That absolutely DID NOT happen. We never, ever would have let them put the table there if it was going to be tight. It was going in an open basement with no restrictions on where the table could go. We absolutely would have had it installed in a different spot. They just repeated that it was our responsibility to approve the space before they built the table and took no accountability for failing to do their job properly and measure to make sure it fit in that space. They have zero integrity and clearly do not care about their customers once they get their money for the product. RUN FROM THIS PLACE AS FAST AS YOU CAN if you want quality service and a place that stands behind their guarantees. Anywhere is better than here. Update: To address the business owner's response, we are NOT moving the table because we are redoing the space. The space that the table was placed was already redone, and we have no need to move the table other than the fact that it is unusable. It is where we originally wanted the table, are very disappointed that we can not keep it there, and would NOT be moving it if the space was adequate. Regarding the statement that the table was installed "months ago," it was installed two months prior to noticing the problem because, as I explained to the business owner, my mother died and as I was responsible for dealing with the arrangements, as well as being the one responsible for dealing with her estate, the table was not used until three days ago. Apparently it was surprising to the owner that we were not in the state of mind to play games in the aftermath of unexpectedly losing our mother. Whether or not measuring the space is only one of the factors in determining the placement, if they did measure the space they certainly did not make us aware of the fact that the area was too small to adequately use the table. They also did not ask us at different stages if we were ok with the placement. They simply came in, asked if the place they were building the table was correct, and then built it and left. It also does not matter if they have installed tables for other people in smaller spaces. Those people being OK with a space too small for standard cues in no way means that we are, nor does it mean that we should not have been consulted us before it was put in a space that wasn't large enough. Asking if the table is in the right spot after it is put together does not remove responsibility for the installers to ensure proper space. They are the experts, and as such we expected THE INSTALLERS to act as such and not rely on people who have zero experience with installing pool tables to magically know the proper measurements for the space needed for the table. Bottom line, the installation is terrible, the customer "service" is deplorable, the owner is rude and clearly without compassion in the face of grief, and the integrity of this business does not exist. As I said before, AVOID THIS BUSINESS. read more

5 Star service - From the second you walk in you're greeted and then from there it just gets better. I got there 5 minutes before closing and they still took the time to address all my questions. These guys actually care about making sure you're happy instead of just selling you on something. I wanted to purchase a pool table and was ready to go and Mark told me he would have a team member come out to the house to make sure I had the room for it and sure enough that happened. Not to mention I got exactly what I was looking for and needed it within 48 hours for a party and they pulled that off too. No other store would be able to pull that off guaranteed or would make the effort to even do so. By far the best experience and I love my purchase. ***EDIT*** The owner only responded to my review on fb and google so I added photos of his response and my response back to him. It has a little more information. We needed a pool table moved out of our basement and were going to get another pool table from family. We called Jeff to get a price for the move, he said $300. Okay, whatever. When we told him about the table he said it was pretty much junk and no one would want it. We asked him what he was going to do with the old table and he said "we will try to donate it and if no one wants it, we will dispose of it". Sounded good to us. So we get the table moved and pay the $300 (cash only, wonder why ) and then schedule the move for the other pool table. The night before the move, we went back into the store to look at felt colors and make sure we were getting the color we wanted. Well, low and behold, our old pool table is in their store for sale for $999.99!!! We couldn't believe our eyes. While we were in there I learned they actually buy old tables from people and I guess Jeff just wanted to keep that a secret while we were talking to him about ours. We contacted Jeff because we felt that we were being taken advantage of and you can see the response he sent in his text (basically oh well) we are out of luck. The move for the other table was scheduled for the next morning and as I was typing a response to his text he called and said "are you going to get the table moved tomorrow? If not, I have someone that can take the spot." Sure Jeff, I'm sure someone called you at 7pm on a Friday night looking for you to move a table at 8:30am the next morning. Was just sold chemicals I didn't need. Calcium for a vinyl liner pool is not really necessary which I was unaware of. Was trying to help father in law that is in hospital and cannot care for his pool. Was never asked if I had a vinyl liner where calcium is a not a huge factor. Come to find out, chemicals are non-returnable, even if unopened. I feel I was taken advantage of. I'm stuck with $50.00 worth of chemicals I don't need. Go to Wind, Surf, and Sail. They won't sell you chemicals you don't need. Price for 25 pounds of calcium is $10.00 lower at Wind Surf and Sail. PH reducer is $7.00 less for 6 pound as well. read more

So last summer my husband and I were new home owners with an above ground pool. When we went to close the pool we had viscounts people Come out and do it. We needed a new liner and they told us that we could do it when we open the pool. So now that it's time To open the pool they are saying they can't do it because the guys make more "money" right now putting up pools and that new liners are usually installed when closing the pool! The pool NEEDS a new liner or the entire pool will be effed up and we are better off knocking it down now if we can't get a liner installed this summer. What BS is that! I went there with a problem with my filter. The pump sounded like it was jammed and wasn't moving water. I asked the guy if he thought I needed a new one, and of course he said yes. I made the purchase and took it home only to find out after flicking the on switch several times my old one came to life. I took the new one back within 10 minutes and was sold sorry we usually don't take returns for those. At no point during my purchase was I told all sales were final or I would have went somewhere else. read more

I would give Viscount pools a 5 star in purchasing and financing the pool. Jeff was very helpful and the process went quickly and smooth. The above ground pool arrived and was ready for installation in a week. That's where the problems began. The installer they recommended did a measurement but didn't give a quote and I had to have Viscount pool to hunt him down just to return a call. When they did come to "install" the pool, the price now jumped $200 and they put up the pool but the heater and filter are just sitting out. If I had known that I would have to get a plumber and electrician to come out it wouldn't have been a big deal... but when I pay $100 to "install" the heater I didn't think that meant taking it out of the box and hooking the connector. read more

Everyone was extremely helpful! We purchased an Intex pool from a man who only had it up for 2 summers. We wanted a new filter and all the chemicals to get it up and running. They explained everything perfect! Since we are first time pool owners we were nervous about being ripped off. Horrible customer service. We ordered a pool ladder for $400 and received a product that we weren't expecting. We were very specific about what we wanted to order and showed the salesperson a picture of exactly what we wanted. She wrote up the invoice and we paid in full that day. We only received part of our order. When I called the chesterfield store they wouldn't deal with me and instructed me to call Jeff the owner at the Clinton Twp. store. Needless to say, Jeff was a complete jerk (that's putting it nicely). He was very condescending and basically said it was my fault and we could return what we had for a refund. Or pay $200 more for the Additional section. No apology, nothing. Fine, I proceeded to call the chesterfield store about a refund and they told me that I would have to drive to Clinton Twp. and deal directly with the OWNER JEFF as he is the only one who can authorize refunds of this size. After expressing my displeasure over the phone, Jeff's wife told me I could return it if it was packed in the box exactly how it came from the factory. Really!! There was like 20 different pieces strategically packed to fit in the box. Sorry, but I failed to recall the exact process on how I unpacked it. What a complete joke this place is. Needless to say, after expressing more displeasure to the owner's wife, she agreed to allow me to return the item. We will never do business with Viscount Pools again! Very unprofessional. Very shady. What a poor representation of small business in our community. Especially during these times! You would think they would do whatever they could to get and keep customers. I'm all for paying the correct price for a product but, this was a mistake on their part. If this was handled differently we would've paid for the additional section. FIND ANOTHER STORE! I ordered a spa from this dealer for my father who has cancer and resulting back pain. First off, the price of the spa was switched at the last minute which kind of makes you raise an eyebrow. Next, I was told that my parents would be given all of the information they required to care for the spa and would you believe that the electrician ended up having to explain what he could about caring for the spa. Finally, The guys who delivered the spa for Viscount put the spa in the wrong place and said "The electrician can move it." My mom and aunt ended up having to help the electrician lift and move the spa. Don't bother trying to call the owner, Jeff...he will just get loud and beligerent on the phone from the time he gets on. Bottom line...horrible experience. Customer service is NON-EXISTENT. On the bright side of things the spa works great and is beautiful (Emerald Spas), and the electrician was a great guy! read more
