Now, I've read the reviews (bad on me) and notice many people experienced with injections reporting delayed, uneven, shorter-lasting, diluted Botox. That's telling. Whole consult was very fast and he dismissed my concerns about how many units of Botox to get. I was willing to see past it because it initially seemed okay, however Botox has completely worn off after only 6 weeks. I went to a few different medspa for consultation and Vishka was one of them. I immediately didn't feel comfortable with the ambiance inside of 31A (their suite) and staff were rather standoffish. The place looked old and dark. I consulted with the male (he didn't greet so I didn't catch his name) but he didn't seem knowledgeable at all. He asked what I wanted and before I could finish explaining, he immediately gave me a suggestion which was entirely different than I what I wanted. He suggested the name of the treatment and said I can look it up on their instagram page or google more about it rather than explaining what the procedure will be and what I should expect. Overall, the place didn't feel comfortable and I was left confused what to do rather than walking out with clarity. I don't feel comfortable trusting this business for any medspa procedure. I reached out to Vishka Skincare MedSpa twice within 2 days. The first time I called them and inquired about their Groupon for a small area. I inquired about the happy trail line and the lady who answered said they didn't do that and quickly hung up the phone. Okay... I tried calling 3 times today and there was no answer, so I decided to text. I texted and stated that I'm trying to schedule an appointment with the Groupon I purchased for underarms. The first response was, "what color is my hair and what color is my skin." The next response inquired if I was Indian, Middle Eastern, or African American. I was then told that the best type of laser for my African American skin is a YAG laser, that they don't have. I told them that was strange, because I've never had an issue with my lightened African American skin tone. I went to their Instagram prior to purchasing the Groupon and I seen a couple of videos with them performing laser on a woman of my exact skin tone and the woman praising the spa. They then said I could reach out to Groupon for a refund. Horrendous customer service, which is probably why they state you have to sign an agreement prior to service. Those reviews mentioning that are true. I've been getting laser for quite some time. I've never had a medical spa act in this manner. I most definitely wouldn't recommend. In my opinion, they don't like the Groupons. Groupon takes about 40 percent and gives the merchant the rest. Tried this place after seeing good reviews on Groupon. Lesson learned. It was evident they were operating laser services and a visa agency out of the same space. Literally was in and out in minutes with zero information provided beyond that included in the new patient paperwork submitted online. Clearly only concerned with the bottom line ($$$) as they were turning over patients one right after the next. You're also required to sign a non disclosure agreement agreeing not to write bad reviews; which happens to be illegal per consumer protection law. Not sure whether they use IPL or laser (or if there's even a difference), but whatever they used was beyond excruciating. Felt like being lit on fire, quite literally. Did not return. TLDR - Although Vishka's prices are cheaper than other medspas in the area, you get what you pay for. Following my botched Botox treatment, my eyebrows were dropped and I still had movement in the treated areas. After paying for 6 full body laser hair removal sessions, I did not see significant results. Seek another medspa for your laser hair removal and aesthetic injections. I decided to try Botox and lip injections with the male provider at Vishka due to the special deals they were running during the winter months. For reference I'm in my early 20s and had gotten Botox 3 months prior, so I did not need that much and I went in knowing how many units I wanted. The male provider was extremely aggressive and pressured me to get two syringes of lip filler when I only wanted one. Once I declined getting a second syringe of filler I was told I needed 35 units of Botox just to treat my forehead and 11s, again as a 20 something year old that had leftover Botox from a couple months before. I agreed since there was a special running and the cost would be low. Long story short - even with so many units and a touch up I still had full movement while raising my eyebrows and making a frown. To make it worse, my eyebrows were also dropped. I was extremely disappointed with my results. As someone mentioned below, the Botox is most likely diluted and this injector has not been properly trained. Additionally, I paid for a full body laser package of 6 treatments. I was fully aware that 6 treatments would probably not be enough but I did not see a significant difference in my hair growth after the 6 sessions. Each time I asked the provider to increase the strength because I was not seeing results and I had already been treated with laser hair removal in the past, but they did not comply. As a it's my first time on laser hair removal, she did not explain if there will be pain, no lidocaine cream was offered/educated, was so dismissive and always in a hurry. I was in pain during the procedure and had to take a break and she said, "Why? It's not really that painful." Pain is subjective guys! My pain may not be painful for you. I went for laser hair removal- She didn't explain well about the procedure after knowing that this was my first time . No medical advice is given of whatsoever after each procedure ! Please read this review if you're considering treatment at this business. This is an honest and truthful review of a bad experience I had here. Please understand that I only had laser hair removal. There are three major things you need to keep in mind: 1. Understand that this business only cares about getting your money and not about you understanding the procedure or getting results. When I complained about getting burned and that not a single hair fell, I was told, "they can't explain to each client that they need 6 sessions first to see results". I was shocked and disappointed to hear that because it only shows that they care about getting as many clients regardless of the quality of the treatment. 2. The laser here was extremely painful, and they don't know how to adjust the settings for people of color. I got burns all over the treated area, and not a single hair fell. 2. They don't take responsibility for their mistakes and would not even apologize. They would fight you if you complained about their customer service and treatment and will never give you a refund. They used all kinds of intimidation with me to get me to give up my money and wanted me to sign paperwork that I wouldn't post my experience online or otherwise I'll get sued. I'm attaching a picture of the "refund" agreement they sent me, which requires giving up my right to voice the truth. I don't understand how a business with such great reviews is extremely insecure and intimidates its clients into giving up on their money. This place is not professional. In my recent visit, the technician did not mention her name or the overall process of my laser hair removal procedure.
