In early May I had gone to DI Fiore asking that they review my taxes that I'd sent in February. The owner agreed to take on my case. She let me know how "badly" I'd messed up. We did not discuss payment as I believed that would be dependent on how much work it took to fix my taxes. After many, many unanswered phone calls, and over 7 weeks later, I was called into the office by an employee who had been delegated to take on my case. I paid the $225 he requested and was given some pages of updated tax info in which he said to mail to the IRS (along with $1200 he said I underpaid) . I did this immediately. 2 months later I received a letter from the IRS stating they needed the other updated pages necessary to process my information. I went back to DI Fiore to collect these pages. I was told that the employee who did my taxes no longer worked there. The owner said he would take my case (after he completed his other deadlines). After 2 weeks we spoke to the owner again. He said he had completed my case, that I would be getting my $1200 back (because the employee did them incorrectly) but before I could have my taxes, he required us to pay another $125. I let him know that I thought that was unfair as I had already paid for services done by HIS employee. I had spent my time running back and forth from Kyle, collecting information for the second time, and the stress of communicating with the IRS. He told me I should be happy, "he had gotten my money back". At this point my taxes were held hostage. No payment, no taxes. I have overpaid to have my taxes reviewed, and don't even know if they are correct. Other than this, you should know that the office is messy, unprofessional, personal info laying around, and they have a cat that scratches customers.

With numbers aside though, I have received by far the best customer service from Todd. He is courteous, very responsive (seriously, I've called the guy at 10pm), and most importantly, he didn't give me the run around like some of the other lenders. Long story short, Emily Franke of SWBC Mortgage royally screwed me over. Just wait for that review- OH, it's comin'. I was lucky enough to have a good real estate broker who put me in contact with Todd after this all happened. While others rushed me off the phone, ignored crucial information, and/or confused me even more, my first phone call with Todd was a whole hour long. He took the time (on a Saturday!) to review every single detail and explain everything that I needed to know. I was extremely pressed for time, and Todd spent the day on Sunday doing about a week's worth of work in order for me to get the house that I wanted. Since then, he has been constantly in touch to update me on the status of...well...everything (by "everything" I mean the million things needed to come together to close on a house). He even went above and beyond to find me a hazard insurance policy that was $300 less than anything else I was quoted (yes, with the same amount of coverage)! I mean, c'mon, you can't tell me that your lender has ever done that for you. I'm ecstatic. Wait, that wasn't convincing enough. I'M ECSTATIC. SO FLIPPIN' ECSTATIC.
