Don't do it!!! I am in Port Orange and Corey Swope came and evaluated my home and determined I needed 32 panels to have a little to zero electric bill. I was excited as my bill from them would only be about $100 a month. However I have 4 large oak trees in backyard that he said would need removed. I agreed to it and that was that. Few months later we hand panels installed and months later activated. What abiut the trees that cover half the panels!?!? Still there. By 2ish I get no solar so they are pointless. Yet I am billed for the panels not fully working and my electric bill was cut in half so with paying for panels now my bill is the same and some months more. I have spoken with so many people there. Here is a list so you know this review is true. They will not allow you to speak to anyone past the consierge. So now I am stuck with these and job not complete. Herb (03/2022) Vision Solar Customer Concierge Was originally working with us on getting trees removed before the solar panels were put on our home which we were told thats how it should be done as many tree placed do not like to remove trees when panels are put on. Caylan (09/2022) Vision Solar Customer Concierge He had me take and email pictures of my back (West) of my roof showing the trees and shading. Ziere (10/2022) Manager at Vision Solar Talked to me twice and caught him on a lie about tree removal.  He told me he would note that we are due for tree removal and give me an update weekly till tree removal was complete but after the second phone call that he promised the weekly phone call he never called me again. Talked to him again 6/2023 and he just says I understand, but does nothing so he is with as much as crap in a toilet. Corey Swope (12/2022 & 11/2022) Vision Solar Sales Rep He was who signed us up, said we would have little to no electric bill but needed tree removal.  I emailed and text his number but he never would reply to me after he got us signed up. Brandy Saint-Louis, email address however says Brandy Trapp (11/2022 - 1/2023) Sunrun Case Manager Was helpful at first and really working with me.  Even found that Vision Solar was shady to her.  But later-on she disappeared on me and I was told she doesn't work there anymore.  Not sure I believe it. Alyssa Clemmens (4/2023) Vision Solar Customer Concierge She emailed me a copy of our contract and pictures of trees to be removed as well as put in writing that tree removal is in our plan and price was included into our final price of our contract. Brittany Gaidosh (3/2023 - Now) Vision Solar T-Customer Experience Lead.  She has been my contact at Vision Solar and was in contact with me but has slowly began to not talk to me much anymore either.  She was the one that told me that there was a scheduling issue with tree service people and they had contacted SBC Tree Service (Daytona Beach) and RAMCO Tree Service (Orlando).  Thats when I called both these places and they answered right away and said they have never spoken with Vision Solar (big big lie to me).  Thats when Brittany asked that I get a few quotes for them which I did and the 30 day quote for the best one is about up.  Then will need to quote again read more

This is a company, where the communication is an issue and definitely a challenge. We wanted the roof shingles to be Red, selected a color and confirmed both parties. When the shingles were added, it turned out to be gray. On top of it the Company representatives said - that it is Red in color. I want to say that we are not color blinds. This is a long review, if it is TL;DR then the cliff notes version is don't touch these guys with someone else's 10 foot pole. They are shockingly bad. I am not affiliated with ANY solar company in anyway, I am just a regular guy on the street, considering solar. I genuinely hope you are reading this review before the sales people get to your home. If they already have, then I genuinely hope they haven't been able to pressure you into signing. I don't know how they have any positive reviews at all, but I have seen them (even on google). Maybe employees of Vision Solar and with family members have been busy writing them. On to the visit - total high pressure sales and wanted to sign me up immediately. Started out the online paperwork for me even though I said I didn't want to sign. They said, just sign now and then you get 3 days to cancel. They said "Why do you need to think about it anyway, even if you take a week, nothing is going to change". My wife was in bed sick with covid and they insisted I bother her and talk it through with her immediately. I did talk with her and she agreed with me, not to sign. I told the sales reps, then one of them said, "just sign it anyway. a week on the couch might be a good break from your wife" with a misogynistic grin. I am not making this up. All the while, he was acting like I owed him something because he showed up for the sales visit. They then said if they leave today then my quoted price would go from $195 per month to $260. When I said I would need to think about it he asked if I would take their solar offer if it was free. I said yes. He then said that proves I am not serious about solar. Good job this guy isn't a lawyer. Ummm, nope. I am serious about it, and will be getting it installed, just not by them. They pressure you in to signing right there, because they know if they leave without your commitment then you will research them on line (as you are doing now) and will never give them your business. Any high pressure sales tactics are ALWAYS a red flag. If anyone pressures you to sign without giving you time to think about it then run, very fast. The reviews of people that did sign and use them are on the Better Business Bureau link I pasted above - I really urge you to read them. They mostly complain about very poor communication, non-functional systems, bad support and rude customer service, but you should look for yourself. If they cold call you then just hang up as soon as you hear the words Vision Solar. I really don't write many reviews, the ones I write are mostly positive too, but please consider all the time I took to write this. It wasn't for fun and wasn't for my own benefit. I live in South Jersey. I was contacted by Vision Solar, and two very nice gentlemen came to visit. I would not call them "hard sell"; they are trained to guide a person into a purchase. They asked for verification information and checked my attic condition with no gimmicks or pretenses. I signed on with them, "and did not say no". From there, I went on vacation and did not think about them much further. i received email updates on the financing and written confirmations of what i had signed up for. Two weeks later I was advised that permitting was completed and that Vision Solar wanted to schedule installation. They promptly scheduled me for a new roof and told me that they would be bringing the solar panels three days after. The installers were terrific! I have a beautiful new roof, expertly installed, on time, and well done. Three days later, i received a knock on my door, and when I asked where they wanted to store the panels, their response was, "We're here to install them now." A few hours later, the panels were all up and I was able to observe my meter running backwards on the temporary install connection. I was then advised that there would be an inspection and i would receive further instructions for the completion and formal install. It's now been just over 60 days, and my first financial payment is due, as scheduled. When I called them and said I had not yet been connected to the 'grid', it was suggested that I contact Vision Solar for an update. I spoke with a very nice "consierge" who said they were pending one last payment and that inspection should be imminent. She promised to follow up with them and get back with me. I am very pleased. The roof is beautiful and the panels are complete. i received timely updates on the financial obligations and have been kept informed of the progress . The only delays i have experienced are likely more the result of the township. I don't know what else I could have asked for..... read more

I worked for this place They straight up told us to lie to people at the door in order to make appointments. More than half of the sales reps have no idea what they are talking about and just say whatever they can to close deals The VP of sales literally calls people who have less money then him "peasants" and they refer to themselves as the "wolf on Solar street" The only positive reviews they have online are obviously made by employees and friends of the owners. I would give zero stars if possible. Here is a partial list of how Vision Solar treated me: 1. False or misleading statements from the salesman 2. It took over a half year for them to install the panels. 3. It took over half a year after installation for them to "remember" to have it inspected and turned on 4. It failed the inspection 5. They claimed to have called me several times without me answering, but their calls didn't show up on my cell. No attempt. No message. Nothing. 6. Meanwhile, I was paying installments on the installation. Vision promised to reimburse me. That reimbursement request was received by them in November 2022. In February it was "expedited." It is now April and they have "no informarion" for me on when I will get $2000 from them. 7. They have a "concierge" number... but they can't talk to accounting, or legal, or anyone. They installed the solar panels at our house about 3 months ago and one of their tools fell off the roof and cracked the windshield on one of our cars. The workers there gave us a number to call and said they would reimburse us for it. After over 15 calls we still have received absolutely nothing from them. They give us the same run around each time. Also, they lied about how much output the solar panels will produce. We are paying the same amount we were paying to SRO that we were paying before they installed the solar panels. They are absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. If I could give this company less than one star, I would. I had them in my home for a presentation to me. The young man who came was knowledgeable and professional. After the calculations, I stated that the savings were not, in my opinion, worth putting solar panels in my home. He called someone in Hawaii, a supervisor to see if they could lower the cost. The guy in Hawaii was very rude with me and went on to get very unprofessional and insulting. HE kept asking what did i expect, to get it for free if I wasn't paying anything. Do NOT do business with this company! A few months ago my business partner and I reluctantly hired vision for our solar needs. While digging in the front lawn, their machine hit our sewer line costing us thousands of dollars to get it repaired. Vision admitted fault and agreed to pay us incrementally to reimburse us for the repair. So far they only sent us $1,500 and are not responding to us! So completely un professional! I have been waiting almost a year for someone from vision solar to call me regarding the panels they placed on my roof. I have called repeatedly and got the run around and no return phone call back. They came to my house and opened my electrical panel 5 months ago. Anyone want to guess where the panel door is? Still on the floor where they left it and never has come back. They installed panels that are not the ones on my contract. But my loan is the same. They never registered withSREC. They never sent rebate money. After about a year and a half of calling and receiving no call backs I hired a lawyer. I did get the rebate and the SREC was filed. The issue of lesser panels have not been taken care of. I now have squirrels that are building nests under the panels and potentially chewing the wires. I had a missing shingle. They are supposed to put on squirrel guards and fix the roof they put on. They won't return our calls. Hopefully a squirrel doesn't cause a fire biting wires. I was guaranteed 85% of my bill covered. It's not. Perhaps because the panels they used are not what they should be and what was contracted for. The loan stayed the same for panels I did NOT get. I have also left a message with the finance company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, FAILURE TO COMPLETE JOB, FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE! They started my solar project in the fall of 2020 it is now May of 2022. They came and replaced my roof, it was quick, efficient and looks good. They also installed the solar onto my roof in a timely fashion and did a nice job. The problem is the tree they promised to cut down. I had a huge tree in my yard (biggest in the neighborhood) they came around the same time as the roof and cut off half the branches. They then came back a end of November and cut the other half off leaving me a towering trunk over my house. They left the cut up branches in my yard all winter next to the towering ugly trunk and never returned. I complained multiple times and they finally returned in spring of 2021 and cut down the trunk. Just cut it and left it lay across what was left of my backyard. They did NOT remove anything. I now had a huge pile of wood from branches and the monster trunk laying on the ground almost to my deck. Again they didn't return. I complained many times again and they finally returned months later to cut up the trunk and remove all the wood at the end of summer of 2021. While here they told me the would cut the remainder of the tree down to the ground so I could have it ground out. While removing all the wood they destroyed my backyard. I had zero grass left in 9/10ths of my yard and craters from the bobcat the scooped all the wood and a lot of my topsoil with. They suddenly had a "tree emergency" and left. It is now almost mid May of 2022 and these people have still failed to do as they said with the part they were supposed to cut down to the ground. Vision Solar customer service is a complete waste of time and their management does not care about customer satisfaction at all. I would suggest using a different company that cares. read more

However, when I asked for them to put their numbers in writing and to give me a copy of the agreements so *my attorney* could review them *before* I signed, the sales person said he was not allowed to do that, but that *I* could read the electronic agreements *when I signed them.* That is not what I wanted, so NO DEAL. They installed Solar Panels on the roof of my house in 2018. After the installation, we never paid a cent for electricity but at the time of the initial installation they did not tell me that I should replace the 18 year old shingles. This year they removed the panels; I replaced the shingles with metal roof; and called them for reinstallation. That was in July. Andrea Cogdill the person in charge of my account has collected $10,000 from me and the panels are still in my garage generating 0 kilowatts. She tells me on Friday's that a reinstallation crew will arrive on the next Tuesday but no one ever comes. I have the feeling that I have been scammed! Not rating for this company at all. I'm really disappointed! The representative came to my house the 1st week of March. Installation was done 3 months ago and still not connected to my house power. I called and sent text messages more than 5 times in the last 2 weeks and still not getting an answer back. Last time that I spoke with Calvin and Sabrina the excuse was that it's the electric company inspector in my town who should come to do it, which I don't understand why is taking so long when my neighbors in the street are getting solar panels with other companies and they got everything done quicker than this company. It took 1 year to get system functioning, but only one month we saw savings after that it didn't seem to be working. My bill has been consistently high. Don't do business with Vision Solar they have been slow to respond and resolve issue as it relates to not living up to the claim the solar will save money on my electric bill.... They say "We'll Call You" and they supposedly use an app to detect any problems or damages with your solar panels. They say they will give you a call to schedule a time for repairs. It's been almost 2 months wit no working unit. I strongly suggest not using Vision Solar. Many phone calls have been made. They know it's the inverter. Lack of communication from repair department. I have even suggested picking up inverter and having another company install it. And still no response from Vision solar repair department. The following is a post I placed on various fb Vision Solar, LLC web pages. They conveniently deleted each and disabled comments. They don't want their potential customers to see their dirty laundry. They now claim to be overtaking Texas. Texas beware! VisionSolarLLC dropped the ball and allowed the permit to expire. This is after 7 months of my calling the Concierge at least two times a week. I can only guess that they don't record the calls for quality purposes nor do they keep a call log. But over the course of that 7 months, I had spoken with, not necessarily in the following order, Raymond, Chris, Frank, Angelina, Sierra, Morgan, Daniel, Mikel, Kalvin, Doug, Sade (pronounced Shaday), Brianna, Kristen (who boasted being a supervisor), and Solomon. I'm sure that there were a few more names. Sorry, if I've missed yours. Prior to the permit expiring, and only after 7 months of calls, I'm informed that they require photographs of the inside attic. Now this is curious, given that a the Qualified Individual (project engineer?) informed me that those photos are not not necessary since that would be pre-installation photos. In spite of that, a VisionSolarLLC employee came to take photos. Not quite sure what they did with them, because a follow up call suggested to me that the folks in the home office weren't aware of those photos. But yes, the permit expired and only after repeated VisionSolarLLC webpage postings, similar to this, did Kristen, from above list, call and ask why I might be posting not so favorable reviews. This, from a supervisor. As of last Friday they appear to have gotten the ball rolling again. A brand spanking new permit has been issued, and the project is in "plan review". But, alas, we're not done yet. The building department tells me that VisionSolarLLC still needs to provide an affidavit (for this to go forward). So, it would appear we still need to have the panel installation blessed, and the electrical breaker box blessed, and after that the local power company will come by (i can only hope) to replace the inny box, on the outside wall, with an inny/outty box so that we can push power back to the grid. And, of course, that too needs to be inspected. My neighborhood seems to be littered with solar panel installations. I wonder if their experience was anything like mine. read more

It took 7 months to set the system up. I now pay more each month for my electricity then I did before the solar was installed. In the winter with little sunlight my bill is almost the same as before solar along with the loan added paying double. Since the instillation I have not gone without a bill from my electric company, I am not saving money but paying more. If you live off Social Security you do not qualify for the tax rebate, federal or state, so your loan payment also goes up. Being a senior citizen, I was ripped off. Not nearly enough solar panels were put up. I was told I could even put an electric car plug in and save money Hah Hah what a joke. read more

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY! The owners of this company have no interest in helping you at all, it is a straight cash grab. Customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with, and the whole project has been disgraceful. Nothing that they tell you will be accurate. The company's technicians broke our main sewer line, which they admitted fault, yet its been months and they have not paid us more than a measly $1,500. they cost us over 13K in repairs and have beat us around the bush when it comes to paying us back, claiming their accountants put a "hold" on all reimbursements. They are either insolvent and should not be operating a business, or they just want to make it as hard as possible on us to get the money back. They are scammers, fraudsters, and clearly do not care about their customers. The solar project on the property start at least 6 months ago, and the property still does not have solar power operating. The only thing this company cares about is a paycheck, and they will use it to throw lavish parties and ridiculous stunts in their office. Totally incompetent company. Installed panels in March 2022. Office staff dropped the ball with township inspection. Township finally came out in September and install failed. Had to redo work. One man fell through hallway ceiling (thank God, he wasnt hurt). Had to have that repaired. After another month waiting, finally passed inspection. Went months before peco acknowledged on our bill it was connected. Finally showed data on peco billing January of 2023. The App that we were supplied to track the progress shows that every day we have had the panels turned on we use the exact amount we generate. It's impossible. I have called the office once a week to get a reason. Office sounds like a party going on and no one has any informed knowledge of the system or process. They keep sending the inquiry to corporate (I guess). Today's excuse is the corporate employee was terminated and they have to start process over with a new person. Only good experience i have had so far was the drywall guy who had to fix my hallway was amazing. Use another company. unskilled workmanship and terrible customer service. read more

The vision solar company is really really really unprofessional. I start my process in November of 2021 and on March/22 they install it, but till now is not hooked up, and has not produced anything. They never come to finish the inspection and I have been calling them for more than a month, with no answer when they will schedule our inspection, they always have the same excuse, as they will reach out to us when they have the date. Everything this company tells you is a lie! We had solar installed by them in September of 2021 its now end of February and our system still isn't on, they said 3 months! They said everything is done just waiting for PSE&G to install meter, I call PSE&G and Vision Solar has not submitted all forms! We had a sales agent, (Joshua) come out to give us their presentation of their solar business. My husband and I were very excited about getting the panels installed. A week later we had them installed on our roof. We were advised that an inspector would come out and make sure the panels were installed correctly and everything was ready to go with them. After five months of constantly calling Vision and getting the same response, an inspector came out and advised us that the equipment was wrong. He advised he would contact Vision Solar and let them know they needed to do an upgrade for our panels. Several times I've called to find out when the upgrade would be done with the same response. "We are working on it and will have a supervisor call you. Days go by and we don't hear from anyone. I even called the sales agent (Joshua) to advise him of what was going on and he acted surprised that this was going on. He promised he would call me back with a name and number of a supervisor that would get this issue addressed immediately. No one every call. Now it's been over a year and one month with no service. We still can't get a supervisor to speak with us. I called today and was told they are waiting for Orange County to approve the paperwork before they can finish working the panels.
