When I went to my general practioner for an eye doctor reccomendation, only having lived here in Tennessee a short time, they gave me a referral for the fine people at Vision Source in Newport. I was greeted in a friendly manner when I arrived and being a new patient they gave me some paperwork to fill out but they were ready for me right at the moment of my appointment and they took me in the back to start my exam. I saw Dr Eisenhower and was very pleased with both her friendliness and professionalism. She was happy to answer any questions and after the exam they turned me over to some very nice people that helped me find the frames I wanted. Unfortunately, I do not remember the name of the very nice lady that set me up with my glasses. For people like me with poor memory I would suggest putting the name of the person at the glasses counter on the receipt so that they could be appropriately recognized for their good work. My visit with vision Source was very pleasant. For one thing every staff member from receptionist to the doctor were very professional and courteous. You felt like you were in caring hands. I also like that they have the computer equipment to look at your eyes and they don't have to dilate your pupils. For me that was a big plus. There were no heavy sales tactics. They told me what was available and it was my choice, no pressure applied. This is the second time I've gone to them and will continue to do so. read more

I have worn glasses for years and my vision in my left eye has gotten progressively worse and astigmatism has developed in that eye as well.. Dr Steele and Dr Eisenhower have worked hard to figure out the problem and today discovered i have a significant eye misalignment called exophoria... this explained all my symptoms and I can finally get treatment for it! I had an urgent eye problem while visiting my parents in Newport. The office staff was very helpful and worked me in to be seen the next day. Dr. Caudle was very thorough and knowledgeable and her treatment had my eye feeling better the same day. She has a wonderful bedside manner and is also an excellent doctor. by far the best optometrists in town! Awesome, friendly staff.....good selection of frames in all price brackets . Went because of an issue (new floater) check it out and found that it was bigger then most, but also found that my replacment len needed cleaned up.
