I have been going to this location for almost ten years now for my annual exams and glasses. It has had a name change in that time period and a few of the people that I saw in the first few years are no longer there or are there a limited number of days. I have always felt that my eye exams are very thorough. The doctors review my eye scans and do a great job of explaining what is happening with my eyes. My visits typically last 1-1.5 hours with wait time and getting new glasses. I never feel like I'm being upsold on frames or lenses, which I like. It takes about 2 weeks to get glasses back once they are ordered. I think this location has hours that make it pretty easy to work around your schedule. I also like the online appointment scheduler. I've had some issues with the patent portal that I'm trying to get fixed, but that's the only issue I've had thus far. read more

She really took the time to get to know what I was looking for--not just in terms of style but also what would work best for my lifestyle. She even helped me figure out which frames would flatter my face shape. What I appreciated most was how patient Shannon was. I must have tried on so many pairs, but she never made me feel rushed. She explained everything about the lenses and different options in a way that made sense. In the end, I walked out with glasses I absolutely love and feel great wearing. I've been a customer at this Oviedo FL location for years, yet two weeks prior to my appointment they gave a same day notice that I needed to check in or have my appointment canceled. This same day notice is on a day I'm loading up and driving 8 hours on a trip; no time to delay checking phone messages enroute, or to 4eview my calendar and confirm an appointment two weeks away. The office receptionist was giving lip service of three notifications; only one was a direct call, the others probably text on a shared number that's block due to spam texts. She just kept repeating this while I was asking to advise/critique the practice of canceling an appointment two weeks out. The office supervisor was of the same mantra that the end of year is so congested, bla bla,. Not listening but regurgitating the same mantra of big us , you don't matter. Yes I was upset, but threat to hang up on the customer is just further testament of no compassio; big us, you must conform. Yet they were able to re-schedule me the same afternoon only 45 minutes later than my original appointment...so was it really necessary to cancel a long time customer's appointment two weeks before the event, with a same day requirement to confirm or they cancel? I love the doctors and eye care, but the big busy detachment of custome care is a terrible disappointment and a poor testament to patient care, as yes the front office is very important to the total of PATIENT CARE. read more

Prescribing the wrong RX knowingly and promising the correct ones will be ordered - only to find out my wife's RX is not available 5.) Pushing daily contacts instead of the monthly we requested. 6.) Requesting payment up front for contacts instead of payment when they come in. 7.) Not providing enough temporary contacts until monthly order has been delivered 8.) Promising one appointment then scheduled a second appointment and charging for two appointments that every other eye care provider would perform together?!- excuse for not keeping their word - we are too busy today. 9. Doctor Fischer is very good BUT avoid this place for purchasing frames or contact lenses. My wife had her prescription glasses redone due to multiple errors 4 times! Three month saga. High pressure sales tactics and add ons on my contract and glasses purchase. Billing errors, insurance errors and then double charge of copay on my FSA card. Billing is awful. No one can explain or give a straight answer. When asking for manager, manager stayed in back office and continued to send representative out with information but would not come out and interact with customers. Steer clear! read more

Thisclose to 4 stars, save for the long wait periods. Maybe it's just me, but I take issue with medical offices having you complete all their paperwork beforehand and then stress the cancellation fee they'll charge you if you don't make the appointment, but then go and keep YOU waiting for extended periods of time in the office. While I thought this office very attractive and the staff very pleasant, I doubt I will return. They do a good job with social distancing (I felt very safe). Their online paperwork process was easy to navigate. I found Jasmine (sp?) to be an absolutely lovely technician. But the 30 minute wait in the chair to be seen after getting all checked in was a bit much. Dr. Gisel was very professional and apologized upon arrival. I'm not sure if he was the only doctor on-site (no pun intended) but he had a gentle touch and certainly knew his business. When I was finally done, though, all I needed was to have my co-pay processed but the woman responsible was with another family, and so I end up sitting there another 10 minutes waiting for people who couldn't make a decision and were already talking about stopping by LensCrafters. I finally spoke up just because I wanted to leave. It was a Saturday afternoon, so perhaps they were short-staffed. But it will be much more than a year before I return. read more

I won't be back. I've been wearing contacts for years, was due for an exam and since they're close and take my insurance, I decided to give them a try. Saw the doctor on my first visit for about 15 minutes. Tried a new pair of contacts, but it took 2 more visits before I finally told them what I needed. It took nearly 8 weeks to get the "right" contacts ordered but they still aren't right. After 5 visits and 6-7 different techs, I ordered contacts on line and now having far less problems. Training is not consistent among staff members and I received lots of different info from different staff members. read more

I have been a customer of Fisher Eye - OVIEDO for several years always had a great experience and now because of the lack of customer service from their billing person threating me with being sent to collections after a second statement of $25 which was paid, they lost my families business. Even after advising the billing person the payment was sent in the mail last week she proceeded to state that if the payment is not received by Monday we will be sent to collections. FYI - The first invoice sent12/16/19 already had the account 30 days past due and before the second statement came in the mail check was already sent. The only reason for the delay was the holidays. Horrible experience today after a good interaction with doctor. They would not order lenses unless I send my frames with them. They know that this is my the only pair of glassesI have and have no explanation what a customer supposed to do in between the time they order the lenses and get them back in. Three associates all said that they don't understand why that is the policy the owner has. Eye exam for my daughter said was part of our insurance network but come to find out they are but don't participate in the cheapest version of our plan. Our plan dictates $20 co pay for certain contacts but they don't participate in THAT part of the plan. Instead we had to pay $104 for the contacts ordering through them. If they would of told us before would have ordered through my insurance after we got the exam results. Second thing that rubbed me wrong was they messed up on the prescription of my daughter's contacts. My daughter was sitting in class for 4 days with headaches and blurry vision till we had time in our schedule to go back to be retested. This was certainly inconvenience for our schedule as you can imagine. The people there seem ok nothing out of the box friendly. It seem like no one had the authority to do anything they were like let me check that and get back to you, let me check that and get back to you etc. Would not go back but it is certainly convenient and seems to be fully staffed all the time. read more

first they made the wrong size of my eyeglass lenses and they claimed it was the labs fault and they will fix it and give it to me in two week. I went to the store after two weeks and spoke with the manger who was not professional and wasnt helpful at all. They just kept blaming the lab and did not offer any help. When I told him I'm going to write a review about them, he left me immediately and said do whatever you want to do and we'll call you. It's going into three weeks now and I still haven't heard from them. I do not recommend this place. Find a place that actually communicates with you and doesn't ignore you. read more

The billing dept is horrendous. After giving them new insurance information, they still overcharged me on my eye exam. My copay was $10.00 but they charged me $90.00. I ordered new lenses (keeping my present frames) on a Friday morning only to find out the next Wednesday my plan did not cover just the lenses. Lo and behold, the WRONG insurance company was contacted. Only after I spoke to them twice did they realize their error and offered to put in the lens order again; which I declined. I am going to find an eye care professional that is less prone to errors. Double check your plan to what they say they will cover, they might be overcharging you. read more

Avoid! When I had my eye exam the technician didn't know how to work the computer and had to constantly call in someone else to help. This person needed more training. Then the eye doctor told me a plan for follow-up when I was leaving. Later in the week the technician called me to tell me a different plan. The next day the eye doctor called me and told me a completely different plan that included more regular follow-ups. I asked him legitimate questions why and told him I had to pay out of pocket every time I came so I wanted to be sure it was necessary since this was the third recommendation (based on the same information) in one week. As he was talking to me, the billing person was right there and the doctor kept saying that my insurance would pay. I repeatedly told him that was not accurate and that I paid out of pocket. I cannot return to this practice because I don't trust them and don't know if the treatment plan is necessary or they are just trying to gouge me for more visits. Plus I have never had a doctor and the billing person call me together. Suspicious. Also, I had to bring up HIPAA to get a copy of my vision exam. They told me that Dr Dave who owns the practice has to look at it and sign it first. I told that HIPAA doesn't require Dr Dave to sign anything and that I expect my report to be emailed to me the following business day. Avoid and choose another eye doctor who you can trust it making recommendations in your best interest and not the best interest of Dr Dave. read more

I've been going to Fisher Eye Associates for 5 or 6 years now, and they have always been extremely helpful, courteous, friendly, quick, and professional. Their entire team is extremely good, and they were very quick to see me when I accidentally scratched my eye and couldn't drive. They have a wide selection of eye glasses to choose from, and work with a number of health insurance companies. They will always let you know if you are eligible for new lenses or glasses, and are not pushy about selling any of their products. They will bend over backward to make sure you get the glasses you want. Both Holly and David Fisher are very good doctors. They are gentle and compassionate and really care about their patients. My experience with Fisher Eye Associates made me realized I made a mistake visiting yyheir establishment. First, my prescription did not feel right and th ey asked me to give it a try which I did however, I ended up with headaches for the week. Returned and had them changed my lens to single vision and to include transition. The transition looked fine in the office however I've been having trouble with the sun and the glasses. The glasses are not protecting my eyes out in the sun and my prescription seems to still be off. I decided to let it all slide and just used my sunglasses instead. I scheduled an appointment for my son and he missed the appointed time. He spoke with their office clerk and she told him to come in the doctor will see him at 4:30. This was also communicated to me. My son drove from Lake Mary to Oviedo and got there before 4 pm only to be told he had to reschedule for another day. Imagine my anger when he texted me. I called them right away and of course they changed their story and going on and on about the missed appointment to which I clearly stated over and over that we took responsibility for the missed appointment but you spoke to him and told him to come and the doctor would see him at 4:30. I told Ms. Tina she could have told him on the phone to reschedule instead of having him drive all the way over there. Of course they took no responsibility nor apologized so I'm done with them. Place needs to be trendy and modern in my opinion. I know this doesn't reflect on the medical attention or care but eye care centers double as a store front and a medical service. The shop looks nice but I will never order glasses here again. I had my eye exam on 11/13, got my pair of glasses about 10 days later, tired it on and didn't feel right. The new pair of glasses gave me a headache. At first I thought it's just adjusting period but after comparing left eye and right vision with the glasses on, I believed I got wrong prescription. I called in after thanksgiving and they put me on an app on 12/2. I got there 20 mins later and they couldn't accommodate me for any exam due to their late policy. So I request them to at least check the prescription and glasses. An associate told me the prescription matches the glasses and they rescheduled me for 12/3. They redid my eye exam on 12/3 and told me it's an typo in the prescription, which I understand human error happens everywhere. They corrected my prescription, reordered my glasses but without any apologies, without offering to expedite my order. NOW ITS 12/22 AND I HAVAN'T GOT MY GLASSES YET AFTER 6 WEEKS WHICH REALLY SET ME OFF WHEN YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE YOUR NEW GLASSES FOR THE HOLIDAY. read more

Due to my unusual eye problem, I researched many area optometrists for a well-qualified one. It appeared that Dr. Fisher would be a good choice, so I made an appointment. When I was taken to the exam room, a young lady talked to me about my history and began examining my eyes with the "standard" optical devices. I have had office assistants begin my exams at other offices, so I expected Dr Fisher to come in to do the major part of the service. Turns out that the young lady was student studying Optometry and she did the entire exam. Dr Fisher came in at the end and spent a few minutes going over things, but did not examine my eyes. Neither of them had included prism in my prescription until I brought it to their attention that my eyes don't focus well. So, I wasted my research and several hours of my time getting a prescription that may not even be correct. I tried on some frames and since I really didn't like the ones I chose, I cancelled my order the next morning. I specifically made an appointment with a Doctor and was never informed that a student would be doing my exam. No referrals from me! read more

The staff here is extremely friendly, helpful and courteous. Both David and Holly Fisher do a very complete, full eye examination. All questions are answered and the entire office staff is extremely professional. In addition the the regular exam, they also offer (at additional expense) a computerized process creating 3-D images of your eyes which can detect conditions not normally seen through the regular exam. I switched my Optometrists to the Fisher's 6 years ago, because of their nearby loaction. I have returned because of their service! Holly and David are more like great friends than a doctor. I have walked in with a crushed pair of glasses and had them fixed within minutes at no charge. Everyone smiles and are always so helpful. Had a thorough and very professional eye exam done. The doctor explained all the results of the exam and what they mean for a person my age. Did not get glasses at that time due to my eyes being dilated. Went back a week later for glasses and checked in at the receptionists desk. ( but was I really checked in?). Sat in the waiting area for over an hour watching one,.. sometimes two associates take care of customers ordering glasses. Watched a gentleman come in with a broken frame. He was in and out in about 15 minutes.... (while I continued to sit and wait). When all other customers were gone I sat there and waited. Finally got up told the girl at the computer I wanted a copy of my prescription that I wasn't going to wait any longer for some one to assist me getting glasses. She looked confused. I left. Recommendation: Have a dedicated receptionist,... not who ever is at the computer at the time. Also, educate the associates to at least ask a customer if they're being helped if they see them sitting in the waiting area for any length of time. read more
