Doctor Nguyen and her staff are all very friendly and welcoming. I was greeted by Jennifer who took my information and asked how I've been since my last appointment. Since I was early for my appointment, she began helping me find some new frames. When Dr Nguyen performed my eye exam, she was very thorough and she explained things in a way that I could understand. I had my vision control in Vision Source. At the end, the receptionist gave my balance higher than I expected. The reason was the new machine to check the eyes, has additional cost for the customers. I disagree, because the equipment is to get the best eyes exam. read more

Think this will be the last visit. Doctor is great but can no longer tolerate the nonchalant staff. Always getting the information incorrect as to what the insurance pays & will pay. Will show that they are aggravated with you with no problem. I always have to call the insurance company to confirm the information told and 80% of the time I was told incorrectly by staff. I have 2 children that go here and the staff gets their information mixed up to where the oldest child has not received new frames in over 2 years whereas the youngest has received frames twice in one year. Insurance only allows frames every 2 years so the staff put in the info incorrectly but will argue you down as if you're the incompetent one. I think I have endured enough. Too many other opticals in Pearland with more frame options & competitive pricing & friendlier staff. Once again, love the doctors but staff not so much. read more

Update three years later: Dr. Nguyen is great as always, but the reason for the 4 stars (from 2 stars) is her staff. Her employees are much more professional. They are mindful of the conversations that they are having at their desks and demonstrate great customer service. I did not have to come back for a second appointment to try on my contacts so that was a great relief. That was a huge complaint that I had in my initial review. I'm glad to see that positive changes have been made. read more

Dr. Jacqueline Nguyen is a very talented optometrist. She and her staff are very efficient in getting patients seen. She is so generous and give me a handful of sample contacts whenever I forgot to pack enough whenever I am visiting Houston for the holidays. The office is exceptionally clean and modern. This is the second year that I visit this place for my eye exam. It is a nice location; the lobby is clean and comfortable. Doctor J. Nguyen is very professional and helpful; she explains everything very clear and encourages her patients to ask questions. Last year I started to wear contacts and as I explained to Dr Nguyen and the staff, I wore my contacts six days a week and I loved them.(Dailies AquaComfort Plus). The problem was that I ordered contacts and a spare pair of glasses, after a week they called me to pick up the glasses, but my contacts were not ordered at all. That was terrible!. After a week, they ordered my contacts and helped me to obtain a rebate which was really good. The staff is not accurate, but they are very friendly. I will try next year once again because I like Doctor J. Nguyen practice. read more

Great optometrist! I've been going to her for 12 years now and she is very informative and helpful. The staff however is extremely unprofessional. I dislike hearing their personal conversations about how smelly the last patient was. Also they check the voicemail on speaker phone so everyone can hear that customers personal problems. This is the most disorganized office I have ever seen in my life. The staff acts as though they tolerate you or are completely rude. The staff does not communicate between shifts and so no one know the status of your order at any given time. They openly show frustration with the customers and have made three billing errors. I've been a patient of Dr. Nguyen's for close to 10 years. I was strictly a contact lens wearer for the longest time and now wear glasses as well.
