We had the BEST experience here! I took my kids (ages 9 and 11) for their first eye appointment and it went wonderfully. From the moment I made the appointment, the staff was so helpful and kind. The whole process was seamless, and they even were able to get my kids to do the dilation drops without any drama. For reference, I had to wrestle my kids down for pink eye drops in the past, so I had low expectations this would be successful. It's important for me that my kids have a good relationship with all things related to their health, and this was such a positive experience for them. Another thing that impressed me is how thorough Vision Veritas is, they told me information about my eyes that I have never heard from any of the previous optometrists I had ever been to. I called the office on 8-15, the girl said she'd send it out. Seemed annoyed that I called and didn't really seem to care. Another whole day and no link sent. my experience with ordering frames through them has been a nightmare. I came in for their trunk sale on 6/6, and here we are 7/25 and I just received another text message from Alex that my frames are "still on back order". But yet they're willing to have me come in and choose a new set of frames?? They originally said my frames would be ready in a couple weeks. This has been paid for already and this is my first time buying glasses, and unfortunately it hasn't been the greatest experience with them. Was denied because I was 16 minutes late to my appointment and there is a 15 minute cutoff. Their hours are M-F during most people's work hours. After rushing to get here and stressing out about how late I was, it was just salt on wounds to be turned away. They lost 15 minutes, but I lost 90 minutes of my day from driving back and forth for nothing. Even filled out all the paperwork ahead of time, all 13 pages of it! I've been coming to this office for a couple of years. I've always had a comfortable and great experience with the doctors themselves, but the billing and insurance seems to always get filed wrong. This is the second time I've gone in paid for my visit and glasses and cone to find out later with my own research the amount I paid was VERY incorrect. Now it's been almost two months and I'm still trying to get my refund. Anytime I reach out they say they will let me know and/or call and I never hear back. This is my first time at Vision Veritas. I have extremely bad vision and I've found it very difficult to find a good optometrist. I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience at Vision Veritas. I called today to make an appointment and they had an opening right away - same day! The office staff was super nice, thorough, and patient. I always have trouble with various machines and tests and as per usual I had to do a couple of them twice. The staff was super patient and not at all irritated or frustrated by this. I saw Doctor Olivia not long after (I've often had to wait in the room for a long time waiting). She was really knowledgable about nuances associated with my extreme case of nearsightedness. The exam was quick and she was very friendly. I inquired later about potentially being a candidate for lasik. Dr Olivia and her staff were more than happy to walk me through a few more tests to determine if I would qualify. At the end of the exam, Dr Olivia noted that my level of Vision imparement would likely quialify me for insurance covering contact fittings and contacts. She knows her stuff! I've been the same rX for roughly 4 years and this is the first time any doctor or office knew enough or bothered enough to tell me I could save out of pocket $!!! The office is beautiful, conveniently located, and very clean. The staff is wonderful and Dr Olivia is super knowledgable. I'm happy to have found a new home for my eyes! read more

I had a really lovely experience with the doctor - I had never had an eye exam as an adult so she was patient and kind with me as I asked numerous questions about my new prescription. This is the first time I've needed any kind of glasses at all. I'd love to leave Vision Veritas a good review, except I ordered my new glasses with them on Dec 21. They told me to expect them the second week of January. It's almost a month since the order and the glasses still have not arrived. Every time I call, they just vaguely keep telling me to wait "a few more days or next week", with no further follow up. At this point, I've spent several hundred dollars on glasses that have no delivery date. I'm actually starting to wonder if the order was lost or something. I'm disappointed that I can't get a clear answer on what's going on, because otherwise they seemed like a well run, pleasant office. My husband visited this location in February 2021 and had some issues with contacts and they were supposed to call him back but never did. My husband and I discussed it just yesterday and I asked whatever happened with that and he stated he forget. I called this Am to speak about my husbands account but he put him only to have information released to which I totally understand and appreciate them following his instructions. I've purchased over 20 pairs of glasses in my lifetime, from online to in store. When I got my last prescription I knew I could shop around for retailers and saw this one come up on a search. I went in and started looking around, picking out 3 I liked and sent them to my family to judge. An associate, Denise, came over to help and suggested a few pair I normally would over look. She suggested a pair that was indestructible (which I appreciated because I'm rough on my glasses) and the strongest anti scratch lens on the market. Cut to a week later and all my friends and coworkers love the style, thanks to Denise! Today I went back in (8 months after purchase) because I had a large scratch from a zipper. Denise was there again and was mostly impressed I had scratched them (told you I was rough on my glasses). She quickly ordered me a new pair of lenses since all purchases are guarantee for a year and was very helpful. Great service and customer for life! read more

I live about 35 -40 mins away from this eye practice. But I would not go anywhere else. Dr. Noor is absolutely the best eye dr I've ever came across with in all my eye issues years. Update 02.21.20 I have meant to update this review and completely forgot. Dr. called me and explained to me that the reason the prescription was being delayed was because of the insurance and advised me to contact the insurance. I contacted the insurance and they told me it was because there was a mistake in the way the submitted the claim. (Who knows who is lying ‍) Anyways, I appreciate the call from the Dr. Office and explained to her that her office should have contacted me even if the glasses were not ready to give me an update. It's just the way customer service works I ended getting the prescription at the begging of January so like 40-45 days after I went to the Dr. Office which is pretty crazy... I am changing the rating because as I said before the Dr. is incredibly nice so I can't judge the entire practice for the employees who did not take the time to contact me and make it right. I had my first appointment with Vision Veritas on Nov 27 of this year. The Dr was very good, friendly, knowledgeable and personable so I have nothing but great things to say about her bed manners and care... I really liked her. However even thought I was asked to take an additional test that I had to pay out of my pocket, up to today Dec 18, 3 weeks later no one has called me with the results and also no one has called me for me to pick my new frames that I also paid on Nov 27. Needless to say I probably won't be going back, but I still need them to give me the glasses I already paid for... it's very frustrating! If you need anything more than a basic eye exam go elsewhere. Just went to Vision Veritas for a stye. I called ahead and spoke with reception about getting my stye cut out. Reception told me they could do it there so I scheduled an appointment. When I got to the office and I was speaking with reception I mentioned again I needed my stye cut out. No one said anything to me about not being able to do that. I spoke with the insurance lady and again mentioned I needed my stye cut out and she said nothing. I went back to my room and again mentioned to the nurse (who was so thoughtful and nice) I needed my stye cut out. She never said they wouldn't be able to preform that. Then I get to see Dr. Abushagur and she puts me on a round of antibiotics. I asked her after if she could cut it out and she said, "we don't do that here." I came to Vision Veritas because I was told I could have my stye cut out and that did not happen. When I told reception about what happened I was told, "I'm sorry that happened." and "good luck I guess" Now I get to contest this with my insurance. Waste of money and an afternoon. This place is so nice! I don't need glasses or contacts, I got lasik last year and I wanted to keep an update on my visits to make sure my eye health is good and so that I know if I ever need to get my lasik refreshed. I went in and they were super friendly and I was called to the back did some eye tests, different than others I have dont in the past. I took one that was an extra charge my insurance didnt cover but it basically took a picture of my eye. I got to see that after and it was pretty neat to look at. Instead of the typical machine that pushes air in your eye it was a little hand held one that was a lot better. I would say their facilities are very friendly, latest technologies (at least from my point of view not sure what all else is out there). I will be going back for a follow up soon on a concern (that may be nothing). read more

Been coming here for a few years and typically the experience is pretty good. Go in, eye exam, order contacts, pay everything, done and done. This last time, the experience was the same the day of, but now a month later, I get a random statement for an additional bill. I always close out the total bill the day of the exam, so getting a new bill was a shock. No one called me to tell me if there was a mistake or mix up. The statement they sent doesn't explain the situation. I used to enjoy coming here because their staff was nice enough to do the heavy lifting in figuring out the best way to use my medical and vision insurance to benefit me best, but I guess their new staff isn't so attentive to details and don't know what insurance covers vs what they don't. Not a big fan of unexpected bills coming my way. When I called in to figure out what's going on, all I really got was "Insurance only paid us this so you owe us now". Nice. Next year may be a new optometrist for me and I may just go the 1-800-Contacts route- the shipping for the new contacts was slow. I was told 2 day shipping, but it was more like over a week. I'll probably also double check with the staff to make sure they're billing me correctly. read more

Who doesn't check the price of something and then turns around and complains about it? I'll tell you who: Someone you don't trust for a review. They have a great facility, A+ equipment, AND don't have to do the DREADED air test (they use a light machine instead). Everyone is very nice. I trust them with my beautiful, hazel eyes. Almost everything was covered under my insurance - Guardian. They do have a limited, more expensive selection for glasses, but that's why you check price tags...RICK. read more

Somehow I got to my early thirties without ever getting my eyes checked. Crazy, I know. Thankfully I married a guy who cares about me and insisted I go get my eyes looked at (and who threatened to take me off of his vision insurance if I didn't use it). Everyone at Vision Veritas was super understanding about it being my first eye exam and explained everything to me and really took their time to make sure I was comfortable. Vision Veritas looks so much nicer than your run of the mill optometry office from the road, which is why I booked an appointment when I moved to a place nearby. I liked the place initially, but wasn't blown away until today (Christmas eve). My eyes are more sensitive than a jealous girlfriend, so I'm always having to come into the office spur of the moment. They ALWAYS get me right in. Dr. Carleo is super sweet and very thorough with her examinations. Yesterday I decided I needed a sudden appointment (or at least a phone consultation) for some unexplained eye pain. Dr. Carleo demanded I come in immediately (in the nicest way possible) so I showed up just before lunch. She prescribed eye drops but gave me some others in case the pharmacy didn't have them in stock and told me she'd call the next day to check in. And she did! She left me a very nice message about my eye issue and even left me her cell number so I could call her over the Christmas holiday! I have to say, that's some pretty fabulous customer service. Their glasses are really pricey, but I totally trust them with my eyesight and will be a loyal customer as long as I'm in Dallas. read more

Came here a few months back for a normal contact fitting, the front staff do not know what they are doing. They are in network for my insurance and after coming out of seeing the doctor (who was very nice) they wanted to charge me $300 for a normal eyeglass fitting! I looked at the charges and they had my insurance coverage messed up and they tried to fight me on it and the only reason they relented is because I called my insurance and put them on speaker to walk the front desk people on how it works (I have pretty normal insurance so not sure why this was so hard). The only reason I am giving them two stars is because the doctor was very nice and professional and I did enjoy my experience with her. However, not worth dealing with the front office and their billing process. I will not be returning. read more

I cannot express how amazing this place is. First of all it's a really nice facility and if you work in Addison, super convenient. Dr. Anita is very attentive and detailed and truly cares. I have had eye issues all of my life and they only get worse as I get older. She has taught me so much about my own personal eye care and really customized my treatment and prescriptions. Her optician Denise made a HUGE difference in my knowledge of glasses, my comfort in my frames, and my ability to see in glasses. She is very knowledgeable and this made a huge difference in picking the lenses that work best for me. The rest of the staff is incredibly friendly and it's a pleasant environment. After years of discomfort and not being able to see correctly even with glasses or contacts, Dr. Anita helped me reduce my eye allergies (the cause of much of my inability to see) and a contact lens I finally feel like I can see properly in. I've never written a medical provider review before but my experience was life changing as I had no depth perception for years and now, I feel comfortable driving again. And my eye allergies are reduced significantly. My vision was fatiguing me and with the adjustments I don't feel overly tired from struggling to see all day. read more

I went here for a routine eye exam and the Doctor told me that I had to come back for a second exam that would be covered by my medical insurance. They misled me and told me before my exam that I could use my I-account card (similar to HSA or HRA account) to pay for any copays or remaining balance. They also said that it could be billed to medical insurance as it was considered medical. Well, the I-account card didn't work so I was out of pocket and also the insurance paid nothing for the service. I will not be going back to this eye doctor again. They could have just been honest from the beginning. read more

Vision Veritas "framed" me in Dallas! I was searching for the contemporary version of the Holy Grail otherwise known as the ever-elusive pair of frames that looks cool, sits comfortably on your face, does not hit your cheek bones nor drive you to decisions like should I pay the mortgage or buy new frames. While on a recent business trip to Dallas, I found them at Vision Veritas! I stopped in to browse the frames, found a few pairs that I liked, and asked if they were available in another color. I waited while the optician, Denise, checked the collection on the designer's website. She returned to describe the color combinations and when I could not visualize her descriptions, she escorted me to a private work area where we viewed the designer's combination of colors on the website via the display. Thanks to Denise's advice and counsel, I finally chose a color combination that was outside my comfort zone and I LOVE THEM! I have since left Dallas, returned home and received so many complements on my new eyewear. Personal note: The frames I chose do NOT have the designer's logo on the temples which was also one of my fashion must haves! Thank you, Vision Veritas. Mission accomplished! I had been having issues with the contacts I was wearing. I have an astigmatism in both eyes and wear monovision lenses on top of that. The doctor I had been going to kept insisting it was my vision and there was nothing wrong with the contacts. It reached the point where I could no longer stand to have them in my eyes. it felt like there was something in my right eye, it was irritated and watering. On a Saturday morning I stopped into Vision Veritas and begged for help. The staff was wonderful and Dr. Olivia Carleo saw me that morning. I now wear a new brand of contacts and have had no issues whatsoever with them. I also have a new eye doctor as well. I cannot say enough good things about Vision Veritas!
