    Serious Billing, Insurance, and Resolution Concerns…read more I am posting this as a consumer warning. This LensCrafters location charged my credit card $746.38 and billed my insurance for a product that was never provided. I did not receive the item, documentation, or proof of delivery. What made this worse: the store refused to process a refund unless I physically drove back to the location, requiring hours of additional driving, fuel expense, and wear on my vehicle--despite the charge and insurance billing already being documented. Requiring customers to incur significant travel costs just to correct an improper charge is unacceptable. Combined with billing both a consumer and an insurer for an undelivered product, this raised serious concerns for me. Because of the seriousness of double billing and refusal to refund without unnecessary burden, I escalated the matter through my credit card issuer and my insurance company's investigative unit. I am sharing this publicly because many customers never see insurance claims, and issues like this can go unnoticed. Review your Explanation of Benefits carefully and verify that anything billed was actually delivered. This review reflects my direct experience and documented charges.

They refuse to call me by my preferred name, instead defaulting to my legal first name which just proves they don't give two flips about their patients. And finally, I've been trying to order contacts for two weeks and can't because when the company tries to call them to verify the prescription, the office doesn't answer or return the calls. When I got home I gave them my card information for an insurance funded card. They charged it the wrong amount, recharged it the wrong amount and then tried a third time. The third time it was denied due to lack of funds. I went on to check my transactions and saw too much money was taken out. I called and talked to Jon who admitted to mischarging me multiple times. Not once did they think to contact me about the issue. From there it all just snowballed. I asked them not to charge my card again. On 2/2/24 I got an email receipt from Target Optical thanking me for my order. They had charged my card yet again, even after asking them not to. The manager Stephanie couldn't handle the issue. She sent me some kind of screenshots of who knows what since I don't know their system. When I couldn't get all the charges refunded because of their own misunderstandings, I asked for a regional directors information. The whole time I was in contact with the store I was being given attitude as if it were my mistake I was asking them to fix. Fast forward many texts, emails and annoyances with the RD Jenny, a BBB complaint and a complaint to Luxotica corporate, it was not resolved in a timely manor. Someone in store told corporate that my issue was resolved which was then communicated to me through the BBB. Funny thing is I have texts from Jenny agreeing otherwise. Finally almost 4 weeks later, I asked for the sunglasses to please be made as I had no faith in getting a refund due to their inabilities at Target Optical. I asked if I could pick them up at customer service as to not be threatened with security again after trying to ask questions in store. That request was denied because CS cannot dispense glasses. I was given the option to have them mailed. I was unaware that they would come to the store 1.1 miles from my home and then be mailed to me a few days later. I asked if I could pick them up as we had to go to Target anyways. I was told no and reminded that I chose to have them mailed. All in all a big mess for over a month, a pair of sunglasses that aren't comfortable, and a $10 e-gift card though Vanilla to make up the difference in their error and I'm finally done with it all. I would highly recommend another location if you are looking for a Target Optical purchase.
