The eye doctors are good and do a great job. The front office lady is rude, unprofessional, and rolled her eyes at me when I asked by they didn't allow you to enter demographic information on line rather than paper and pen. The eye doctor was running about 25 minutes late. We were told my son, who was 5 minutes late because of traffic, wouldn't be able to get seen today due to him being late. He was able to get seen. My prescription lenses are the first ever; that I am 100% satisfied with. I also want to thank my doctor for his kindness and patience when I was trying to read the letters on the eye chart. After a two week wait for my prescription glasses, there is a defect in my lenses. I drive a fair distance only to arrive at the Arapahoe store one hour after they were due to open to find the lights off and both doors locked. "No one was home!" I spoke with the customer care department to inquire as to why their store was locked during business hours to which they promised me they would have a supervisor call me, to which I received NO call...I have completely lost any respect for this company and will not be a patron to again. read more

I would not recommend this location at all. The guys working in the glasses area are extremely poor communicators and quite rude. They don't really want to listen to your needs, and dont really seem to have strong knowledge of the frames they have. When I purchased my progressive lense glasses, they charged me for things I specifically said I didn't want, and didn't charge my insurance for it, they just charged me. Also, when I got my glasses, I couldn't even see out of the lower part( reading area). I went back to my eye doc to make sure the prescription was correct, and it was, but they measured the lenses incorrectly. When I took them back, the guy just told me the frames were too big for me, and there was nothing really they could do. As an adult, I wear kid frames, so I know they weren't too big. Horrible experience all around each time I had to go in there. I finally just asked for my money back, and thank God they gave it to me, but not without the guy rolling his eyes at me. Everyone I've dealt with at this location has been top notch. Their was a mixup with my contact ordering and Jeremy was very patient with walking me through the problem, that frankly I probably caused, over and over again because my brain is too smooth to understand it the first time around. The optometrist, smooth brain has already forgotten her name, instead of just throwing another pair of contacts at me took the time to make sure the contacts I wanted actually worked for me. I have waited over 5 weeks for a trial pair of contacts. My appointment was in 4/7 for a new contact and eyeglass prescription. I received the glasses, but have not been given the prescription I paid for for the contacts I desperately need due to the trial pair not arriving at the location yet. I think this is a crazy long amount of time and obviously someone dropped the ball, but it's my fault. The automated system to call for order status is an absolute joke. It's too bad too, I think the optometrist at this location is good, but that's if no value when prescriptions can't be filled. I'll make an appointment today elsewhere for a contact exam so I can get a new contact lenses. I'll need to pay that exam out of pocket since my insurance was already used at Visionworks. Who in the world is that long haired knucklehead sitting up front? He had the communication skills of a dead moth. He doesn't really listen and getting details from him is like pulling teeth. I went in for an exam, which was fine. The problem comes with customer service afterwards. I ordered 3 boxes of contacts mistakenly (not that they told me of course) early December. Come late December, I get my 3 boxes and go in to order my 4th box. They order it. I ask them to send it to my house. Come mid January, no contacts. No text, phone call, or email that they have arrived. I call them and ask where they are. They're sitting on some shelf in their office. They tell me they'll send it to my house and verify my address. It is now the last day of February. No text, phone call, or email, and no contacts. I call them and they said they'll mail them to me. After hearing Visionworks is the worse optometrist business is Colorado from friends and family, they were right . Not only was all the equipment outdated and service shitty. I had one person tell me they could order certain glasses they didnt have in stock and another person telling me they couldn't. You get what you pay for when it comes to this place. I needed a pair of glasses as a backup pair and thought this would be a good route. After spending a couple of hundred dollars and 4 months later the frames started to discolor and the finish came off. Of course there is only a 30 day window for issues of this nature. The staff at this location are awful! There is one guy who is helpful and everyone else is terrible! The manager is extremely rude and disgusting. He is a nasty person in general and obviously has zero communication or math skills. Since the first time I went there he was obnoxious to not only me but my 11 year old son too and miscalculated my refund. He yelled that I was lying while I was talking to my husband on the phone! When I told him I was speaking to my husband not to him he yelled more and made me wait outside. When he brought out my purchase he continued to be nasty while I was on the phone with the police. I had to file harassment charges against him because he was knocking on my window while I was waiting for the police. Terrible! The tech is also not very caring. I would not bring a child to this location. They are not good with kids. She also overshares way too much when it comes to her own health. I keep getting advertisements sent to my home address, I have contact this store at least 5 or 6 times, yet today I just got another piece of mail in the mail. I was told they removed me from their system but yet mail still comes each and every other month, I tried the chat on their website and that was pathetic, I kept typing what I needed done "remove" my address from the network system altogether, but the chat kept asking if I needed to locate a store. Then of course I called the 1 800 number only to be put on HOLD and then the recordig came on stating I was calling "after hours" - what a freak show!!!! Once companies have your address or information its a never ending harrassment of getting advertising "stuff" (not to say something I should not say). read more

So, where to begin... the clerks couldn't verify my insurance, but strangely, they could verify my wife's who is on our same, family plan. The eye exam went fine once the insurance was sorted out. Then, we moved on to ordering new glasses. The clerk / salesperson, whatever, didn't even ask what features I wanted. He wrote up an order for basic glasses. Upon review, it had to be cancelled and refunded as he had not ordered transitions lenses, or added the non-glare coatings I wanted. Finally the order went in. Weeks later, after the delivery date promised, I checked their online system for my anticipated delivery date. It showed that my glasses were delivered to the store, but not processed. I called the store and they told me that my glasses were "somewhere in the hands of FedEx and they should arrive any day." Two days later, I called again and got the same story. A day later, I called the regional customer support and they verified what the online status was saying, that my glasses were delivered to the store, but were not processed as received. They added a store clerk onto the now, three-way call and told them the same as they told me. The clerk argued that my glasses had not arrived. At that point, I demanded a refund and told the clerk I was on my way to get it. When I arrived at the store, I was met by the manager, a young kid whom I'd never spoken to. He was rude and told me, " I'll give you a refund, but you are to never set foot in this store again." I happily agreed, took my refund and left. But, their incompetence didn't stop there. A month later, I received a bill from VisionWorks. I called my insurance and they verified that they had paid for the exam. VisionWorks customer service admitted that the bill was an error and shouldn't have been sent. Hopefully that ends the issue. read more

Traumatized and chased to my car. I visited this location yesterday. Completed my eye exam appointment and was in search of a new pair of glasses. I was instructed to walk around a look at options, with no other details. Let me preface this next statement by saying i respect the mask rules and followed them throughout my whole appointment. This review is not about masks, but about an overzealous employee who was out of control. I was trying on a pair of glasses and for a split second pulled my mask just down to above my nasal airways (still covered) so that i could see the fit of the glasses. At this time one of the staff member began to yell from across the room that i needed my mask on and that i could not be in his store. I immediately pulled my mask all the way up to under my eyes and apologized and tried to explain but he continued to yell over me. I felt uncomfortable at harassed at this point. I believe he should have just asked that it be below my eyes not above my nasal cavity if that was the requirements. I put the glasses back as i was shaking and nervous and the man yelled even more because i had not put them in the spot he wanted them to be. At this time i just got out of there as fast as i could to get away from this man. He proceeded to chase me out of the store and to my car and stood in the parking lot yelling at me. I am a brand new mom with a little baby and I felt scared for my safety, i was shaking and crying and I cannot believe i was treated this way. My mask was never even below my nose. No breathing holes were exposed. This employee wanted to abusively dominate with his powertrip, this was not about safety or masks but about abuse and harassment. read more

Only giving this place a 3 star because it's close by where I live and the doctor and the lady manning the front desk who happened to also run some of the preliminary tests was great but the person who actually helps you find glasses was horrible. Worst vision experience EVER! They signed off on an incorrect prescription twice authorized by the doctor. 6-8 weeks for contacts. Requested a refund and they refused when told by 3 other workers they would honor it to make both prescriptions correct. Do not go to Vision Works if you want quality eye care! Glasses weren't even adjusted to face when purchased. I walk in the door and I am recognized by my name and so is my spouse the service is awesome if I don't like or feel good about the service I'm getting I ask questions til I get what I need. My father went in for a check up, and he was told nothing was wrong. His vision continued to diminish, when finally he decided to go to a real ophthalmologist and was told he had cataracts. Visionworks never even saw them and told him he was fine. He had surgery two weeks later. read more

Two stars because the day of my exam, everything was good. The Dr. and staff THAT day were friendly. However, I had a hard time picking my frames because I can't see hardly without my glasses. I'm not satisfied with one of my frames. It's within the 30 days. I went back in and I was given grief because they were bought on sale and it would probably be too much trouble getting a refund. I went in with the intention of exchanging them first. I wasn't given too much help or options. I work in retail and there's always some kind of option IF you don't want to do a refund. DON'T GO TO VISION WORKS!!!! I should have read the reviews before going to this place. Reading the reviews, I learned I wasn't the only one who had a horrible experience with customer service. The GM Jesse, is the worst and the most horrible person at this place. He screwed up my appointment and tells me that it was a miscommunication on my end. Clearly it was not a miscommunication because I remembered and wrote down the details of our first conversation. They just don't have their shit together at this place. He talked to me so ugly on the phone and couldn't even accommodate anything for me to get my contacts. I recorded the conversation and would love to add it here so everyone can hear how Jesse likes to belittle the customers. Worst part, I called corporate and I spoke to a nice lady who said Jesse the GM should have never spoken to me the way he did. She was so apologetic and told me that the regional director would call me and they would make this right. They never did. I never heard back from anyone at Vision Works. Maybe that's why Jesse had no issue of me calling corporate because he knows he can get away with being an awful and horrible person. How is he even a General Manager? Due to COVID, couldn't get into Kaiser for my regular eye exam. Not crazy about this place to begin with but they're the only ones open during COVID. Go here and get an eye exam in May, and they change my Rx from what Kaiser has prescribed. For the next several months my eyes keep bothering me but I think it's just having to get used to the new glasses. Finally get an eye exam at Kaiser and lo and behold, Visionworks gave me the wrong eyeglass prescription. No wonder. I call this location and sorry, too bad - they will not make any kind of adjustment for their mistake. Now I have to pay out of pocket for new glasses, but it will not be here. Jessie, who claims to be the manager, is incredibly condescending and rude. No customer service skills whatsoever. Avoid this place like the plague. The customer service isn't great and the eye exams are obviously subpar. Don't trust your eyesight with this place. read more

Horrible experience. My daughter picked out two pairs of glasses. When they came in we came in for a fitting. We were not listened to and left with them still not fitting correctly. We went to the other vision works location to have them adjusted and they ended up breaking one pair and adjusted the other pair and the screw so tight we couldn't even open and close the glasses. The next day we came in to return both pairs feeling that customer service and quality didn't match the price we paid. We waited a HOUR just to do the return and still had to argue about why we were unhappy. Completely unacceptable. Don't go here unless you want a headache! read more

Got my first pair of glasses here and they were way over priced and lasted less than a year before they started to fall apart. They didn't offer to adjust them or fix them if they broke and were very unprofessional. The ladies were rude and disorganized. When I went to pick them up they had me waiting for 15 minutes before anyone came and talked to me and an other 15 minutes for them to find them. The customer service was terrible and the experience was unprofessional. I will definitely be going to Cosco for and new glasses which are WAY cheaper and much better quality than this place. read more

I went in to this vision works on 05/26/2015 to get my fathers glasses adjusted. My dad is from Nebraska and was in town visiting. I also work at an eye care office, but I could not adjust them myself because he didnt purchase his glasses with our privelty owned company and if we broke his glasses it would void the warrenty. When we walked in we were greeted by Joanna C. My dad and myself explained what we needed fixed with the glasses since they work not even on one side. She adjusted them right in front of us. All I saw her do was tighten the screw which does NOT fix the glasses from being cricked. She gave them back to my dad and said they look much better( they looked exaclty the same), so I told her no it needs more than tightening a screw and she said that she did more than tightened a screw which i find hilarious cause I watched her and that was all she did. She re-adjusted them again and this time it was complelty cricked the other way. At that point I said they looked fine cause I didnt want her touching my dads glasses anymore. She then said that oh they look low on one side and asked to adjust them back a little bit. My dad tried them on and they finally looked decent. Then my dad told her he also needed his sunglasses adjusted and that the back temple was digging in the back of his head. She looked at the frame and said they could not be adjusted because they are a hard metal. I immidiatly stoped her and said that I work at an eye care office and have never herd such a crazy thing. She then said with a very rude attitude " Would you like to come adjust them then and show me how you do it since you know." I told her NO because I do NOT work there and this is not my frame to adjust its there responsibility. She said well I am telling you I cannot adjsut them so....! I said well I cant beleive you sell frames that you cannot adjust. How is my dad supposed to wear a frame that hurts him? Isnt it your job when a patient buys a frame to make sure it fits them properly since you "cannot adjustment" your frames. She said that she is happy to restyle him but there is nothing else she can do with his current frame.So my dad explains to her that he leaves 70 miles away from a store in Nembraska and that they would need to be shipped to his house. She said no problem and that she would call the store get everything that she needs from them and then go from there. She said if we want to go get something to eat and come back she will have everything ready to go. My dad and myself went to starbucks and then went back and she was with another pt. She came over to us and explained that they didnt fax the receipt and that she needs that in order to recalcuate everything but that we are good to go. Then right after she said that she said oh wait your a prigressive I need to take a measurment. My dad asked her if she can adjust them here, so he doesnt have to drive 70 miles away to get them adjusted. She said well I can but you will have to wait till I finish up with the pt I am working with. (EXCUSE ME, were we not here before that pt waiting on her, why do i have to wait even longer for you to get a sale, we were here before that lady and just because she was purchasing we were no longer her priority...THAT IS TERRIBLE!!) Then she says oh you know what, you are getting a new frame so you are just going to have to get them adjusted when you get them. (She cant seem to get her facts straight.) After she was done taking his Seg hight measurment she then said again, well I will call you once I have figured everything out, but I need to get back to the patient i was helping. (ONCE AGAIN the other person is priority since she is buying even though we were here first and had been waiting on her. Bottom line, we are just as important as that sale of yours, you gave my father a product that he hasnt been able to wear for over a month and now cannot adjust it (which is a joke), and we are on the back burner since we are not buying but having to waste our time correcting there mistake from the start and needing to waste our time because to her we are NOT important. I ave herd some terrible things about vision works but I let my judgement be on my own experience and I have to say I have never been more disgusted in my entire life. To ask me to adjust them because you are basically calling me a liar is beyond words of inappropriate and disrespectful. Making us wait why you get a sale even though we were there first and had been waiting is AWFUL!!! I sure hope you all can get it right this time, so my dad can actually enjoy his glasses even though those glasses are adjustable she just doesnt know what the hell she is doing. So happy I came here to fill my new prescriptions! Staff were excellent, especially Desiree! I was struggling with choosing (so many great choices) and she helped me by eliminating some and advising on best frames for my face. Super nice and professional, they should give her a raise. My two pairs of progressive eyeglasses and sunglasses were done within 5 days! Jessie and Michelle were also super nice and patient with me to get them adjusted the way I like.
