Besides our unpleasant interaction with the girls at the front desk, our visit went very well. Appointment availability was great, we were able to get an appointment within 3 weeks of scheduling. Check-in was pretty seamless, except for the ladies at the front desk, who were pretty rude at check-in when I had questions as to why my insurance wasn't called for pre-authorization prior to my appointment. At the time of scheduling, the person on the phone assured me they would call my insurance for pre-authorization. So when I learned that this had not been done, I questioned the front desk about it, they became very defensive and short with me. One of them even kept rolling her eyes, which is very unprofessional. Fortunately, we got the insurance sorted out and they got us back pretty quickly. The doctor seemed a bit rushed but was still thorough. We were directed straight through to select our eyeglasses after our exams. The eye glasses technician was very patient with us, especially when trying to select glasses for my 8 year old. Overall, we had a great experience. Glasses were also reasonably priced (with insurance). Would definitely return. read more

I went in last week for an eye exam and it was the worst eye exam I have ever had!! The Dr was so overbooked and quite frankly seem overwhelmed, and not able to focus on her patients. So now I am stuck with a prescription that I don't want to fill because I don't think it is even accurate, that's how rushed my exam was. She even put my contacts in right after dilating my eves to see if I could read with them! Well not really, my eyes where starting to dilate!! I also contacted their corporate office and still haven't heard anything from them. The office staff was kind and polite, but when I called to see if I could schedule my follow up appointment with a different doc, or when they would be less busy I was told they are always that busy and barely get lunch or bathroom breaks!! This is my second visit to this location. the doctor hardly let me answer questions she asked even answering some of her own questions herself. When I, unfortunately met with Mandie Himmel and I was expressing my disdain for my whole experience she laughed as she looked to another person. When I confronted her about it she yelled at me, "what are you talking about " and after I asked for someone else to help me, she yelled again and smacked the table. When I did it too she smacked it even harder. I'm appalled to know that she is the retail Supervisor. As a supervisor she should have done something to help me instead of adding to my frustration. I ended up coming here largely because they take walk-ins, and I hadn't had my eyes checked or a new prescription for my glasses in at least seven years, and my old glasses had gotten scratched to the point where I couldn't see clearly at all. I literally walked in and said I needed new glasses and they got me going. The wait time to get in as a walk-in was probably about a half hour, and the examination total, for glasses and contacts, was probably about 30 mins. I took and extra 15 mins to fit some contacts, and then chose two frames and ordered the lenses. Setting up the glasses took another 15 to get the lense orders right, and then I was done. They gave me about a week's worth of contacts initially as a trial, and I recieved a text that my glasses (BOTH pairs) were ready for pickup about two hours after I ordered them. Which honestly was super impressive, I assumed I would have to wait several days, and two hours was great! The doctor was professional, the staff in general were professional and respectful. I wasn't catered to or fawned over, but I generally want to be left alone anyway, so I was fine with that. Cost-wise, I caught a sale, so I got two entire pairs of glasses, one with transition lenses, and the two exams for about $275 out of pocket, which is super affordable, and I was quite happy with. If you're just looking for some basic glasses or contacts with affordable prices, this is definitely a great place to go, I'm quite happy with my experience overall. No frills, just in, done, and at the end of the day, I had two new sets of glasses and can finally awe clearly at night. read more

Seemed nice, then made a very sarcastic comment telling me that the thing I came for was 'inconvenient for everyone' after telling me I had to have a hard copy of my prescription and that the exact prescription on my phone sent from my old office was not good enough. I have gone to visionworks all my life and this is the worst experience I've ever had, the staff are rude and not helpful at all. A customer came in at the beginning of my appointment and the staff told him they didn't know who he was and refused to look him up. That should've been my first red flag. Waited a long time I'm talking 30 mins before I was called back when I was early (5mins) to my appointment. After being called back waited to have someone run my insurance and get my glasses ordered they took forever and didn't even know what they were talking about. I ordered my glasses and usually it's like a week I had to wait 2.5 for my glasses when I went in to get them I asked why they don't call when glasses are ready now since I got an email and no call they said that they probably were about to call and my glasses were ready that day and I got the email at 6:57 pm on a Saturday (meaning they were ready the week before) if I could give one star I would horrible unprofessional staff and rude!!! read more

Excellent customer service and the prices are as expected for quality glasses. My wife had an appointment for an eye exam here about a month ago and her experience was great. She left with a pair of sunglasses and clear lens glasses. Fast forward a month I decided to upgrade from my Army issued glasses so I took my prescription to vision works. I was in and out in about 20 minutes with no appointment necessary since I did not require an exam. Very impressed with how quick and friendly they are. They have a huge selection of glasses to choose from at many price ranges. No complaints from me! read more

I missed my first appt on 6/19/20 because I had a dead car battery when I called to explain I made another appt for 6/26/20. When I went to my appt today they asked me "what appt". What a waste of time. Business is obviously run by inept people. Don't go to this location. Take your money somewhere else. read more

Similar to the other reviews mentioned regarding their prescriptions being off, I had the same experience. I usually wear glasses but wanted contacts. I told the doctor I was new to contacts yet she rushed me through the entire process. The trials I went home with were not good. My eyes were extremely uncomfortable, itchy, and felt blurry. She also gave me a "readers" over the counter prescription that she said would make it more crisp if worn over my contacts when on the computer. Bought those and did not help at all. I called after two weeks to go back and get my prescription rechecked. She said it was off because I have an astigmatism. She then had me try multiple contact prescriptions and I left with a new script and a new updated prescription for readers. Once again the readers failed to work and I'm having the same issue. This is ridiculous and I'd be an idiot to go back a third time. Do not go here. It's a waste of time and money. Now I've used my annual eye exam that is useless and the company refuses to refund my exam. read more

I don't know about Visionworks as a company, but this location gave my wife the WORST examination I have ever been unfortunate enough to know about. The Dr who did the exam rushed through and told her it was "normal" to have to squint to see the bottom line. In all the exams I've ever gotten, they said NOT to squint. We purchased glasses from another company, the prescription came and her vision was still blurry. Went back to visionworks for a re exam and received a completely different prescription. The doc tried to push aside her laziness and unprofessionalism by saying "you might have diabetes".... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I'm pretty confident her primary physician would catch something that serious. I will never, in my life, give visionworks the opportunity to have my business again. read more

My glasses cost about 30% more than the ones I'd gotten from Costco. The service was so slow. When I asked about the differential between two types of lenses, it took the guy 5 minutes of pouring​ over manuals to figure it out. When I went back to pick up the glasses, I waited while the store rep chatted with another customer about all sorts of things other than the glasses she wanted adjusted. They also do all this marking up and then down, and it just gets confusing as to what you'll eventually be charged. read more

Just picked up my new glasses and am SO pleased. I need progressive lenses and these are the best I've ever had. I spent just a little more money to get the special digital option and WOW, what a difference! The doctor was great, and Kathe Cornell helped me pick out frames and all the options I wanted. I went to this location for both eyeglasses and contacts. The first pair of trial contacts they gave me were horrible. I went in to try another pair and the doc I saw seemed so irritated that I was not happy with the first pair. She gave me another brand to try.....well those were even worse. Every time I blinked my vision would go so blurry that I couldn't even see. I came back a week later and I saw another doc who said the pair she had given me was the wrong size and that's why my vision was so blurry. She too was very irritated because my son who is ADHD was being fidgety. She yelled at him to sit down and then proceeded to tell me "he might as well be doing jumping jacks in here. Mind you, he was not being all that bad....he was wiggling in his chair some and asking questions about how the machines work. Well at the end she did give me another trial pair and let me tell ya, my eyeballs are so sore I want to claw my eyes out. I read reviews for the contacts she gave me and I am not the only person experiencing these symptoms. Today is my follow up visit and I am so worried and intimidated about telling them that these are even worse. I don't even know what to do? I shouldn't have to feel this way when I have spent all this money at this place of business. read more
