ALWAYS HORRIBLE SERVICE from MOST of the staff here and rude doctors that are just trying to get all the patients over and done with. I am either always taken for my appts WAY after my appt time or this most recent time my appointment was canceled completely because I didn't confirm the appt, according to their new policy. How would I know to confirm, due to the new policy?? I received NO email, no text, or call, instructing me to confirm. I hate the service here and they do not care about their customers at all. If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. The doctor pushed me to try a new contact brand. I agreed. They called to say they were ready for pick up. I still had some of my old contacts available (my prescription didn't change) so I finished those. When I went to pick them up (30 days later) they had sent them back due to inventory availability. So now I have to wait another 7-10 days AND schedule an appointment to pick them up and see a doctor. My problem is this: why push me to try new ones? Why send them back without calling? And why do I have to schedule another appointment and pay for another visit just to pick up my contacts? Had this been disclosed it would be a different story. Had they called me to remind me to pick up or even told me they were sending them back that would had been a much better experience than today. They won't even give me my contact prescription now! My initial visit was great! Now fast forward to the time of picking up my glasses I was told it would be 45 minute wait. What are you kidding me. I know with the Covid still being an issue but 45 minutes is ridiculous. So with my mask on I'm sure my eyes said it all. One of the two workers there said there was only 2 people working. so my next question was will there be more than 2 tomorrow so I can get my glasses. read more

First time here after a bad experience trying to use my insurance for glasses. Kay was very helpful. She fully explained my benefits and what glasses options I had. No pressure or smothering while I browsed. Once I found a couple that I thought was ok she helped me make my decision by just having general guided conversation. I scheduled an eye exam and called 2 days prior to my appt. to make sure that the doctor would be able to fill out a Re-evaluation form for Lasik Plus. I was looking to have PRK done and have had Lasix in the past. The receptionist stated that the physician I was seeing was not there that day but would call me the next day if that form was not able to be filled out after having my eye exam with dilation. I did not receive a call back from receptionist but decided to make sure I asked before I had my exam on the day I came in. The doctor that was going to see me was at lunch (Dr Zuniga) but the receptionist checked with Dr Levy and she stated that it would not be a problem to have the form filled out after my examination and dilation. This form is a generic form that is just filling in my eye examination information with dilation. The form does not completely clear me for the examination of PRK to be performed. Once form is filled out then I go to LasikPlus and their doctor clears me for the examination. When I came back to exam room Dr Zuniga denied being able to fill out the form because she "does not refer patients to LasikPlus and does not feel comfortable filling it out." I am not sure why the other doctor said there would not be an issue. I was not able see Dr Levy because she then went to lunch and had a full schedule when she returned. I am not sure why this company has policies if one doctor gets to choose if they follow them. I have decided to not come back to visionworks and will have my re-evaluation exam performed with America's Best (I have been before and have not had any issues). read more

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Beyond unhappy. Worst customer service! I got the run around and no one would help me. After paying over $350 for a pair of glasses, less than 6 months later, I have a scratch on the lens and called customer service to make an appt to have them fixed. They told me I did not need an appt and that I had a warranty to cover the scratched lens. So, the next day after work I went in to have them fixed. 3 people gave me the run around in the store, looked at me like I came from another planet. They asked me which insurance I had and I told them. One lady said "That's weird" and walked away. and told me to have a seat in the corner, took my glasses and insurance card and left me alone for around 30 minutes. Then came back to me, with my glasses in a flimsy folder, asking me what I was in there for, along with questions regarding my prescription and which type of lenses I had while they had all the paperwork in front of them. Mind you, I had close to nothing added to my lenses - no Blue UV light protection or anything. They told me that my insurance only covered the frames, not the lenses. Than tried to charge me an additional $221 to have them replaced! On top of that, their wait on hold time is ridiculous to reach Corporate or the office manager. Now I feel stuck with a pair of glasses that I love and I cannot use. read more

Had an appt set for 11am today, arrived at 10:39am. Filed out my paper work, had air puffed into my eyes as stared at a tiny farm house....11:40 (still haven't seen the doc), I hear an employee say "The doctor is running an hour behind, is that ok?" No one came and said anything to me. I had to go and reschedule because I could no longer wait. There was no remorse, no apology. Nothing...Then I'm told the next available isn't until Sunday. Went today for my husbands 10:15 am appt. Upon entering we stopped at the front desk. There was a man on the phone so we started to look for glasses. A lady asked us to set aside the ones we wanted and I said we were here for his 10:15 appt and she said the doctor wasn't in yet anyway that she was running late. My husband found the glasses he wanted and we sat down to wait. They started calling people back. I said they dont even know we are here cause no one checked us in!! So he went to check in and its now 10:45 am. After all is said and done he didn't get finished until 12:15pm and was asked why he was still waiting??? He still hadnt got tot to order his glasses and was told there were three people ahead of him. We finally had to walk out. I have never seen such disorganization. We will never go back. They do not treat the customers right. read more

Had an appointment for an eye exam at 10:30, I didn't leave until 12pm. It was me and two other customers. The eye doctor was great however the employees working up front were absolutely horrible. I don't understand why it took an hour and a half to complete my eye glass purchase. Came back a week and a half later after they called to let me know my glasses came in. A whole new staff, all of them just as awful as before. It took 30 minutes to pick up a pair of glasses that I already paid for. Get it together. Only make an appointment here if you have all day to waste sitting around waiting to be waited on. read more

I wish they had of saving your lenses after you break your frames, I have so may good lenses I can't use because I have since broke frames and that style is now discontinued or not in current stock. Made an appointment for 1:30 and finally get seen at 3:00. They keep putting people who whine in the front of the line. I guess if you don't have an appointment just come in here and complain and they will put you in front of people who do have an appointment. The selection of glasses is rather small here. Upon my arrival everything seemed to be ok. I completed my eye exam and picked out a pair of glasses. That's when the nightmare began. The lady helping me seemed to be knowledgeable and assured me everything was in order. With an upcoming fishing trip at hand the associate reconfirmed my information to find she had written down my phone number incorrectly. We made the corrections and She made the comment to contact me as soon as the glasses arrived. I called in at the beginning of the week of the due date for an update and was told they were due on the 7th and that they had not arrived. Today I called as I still have not received any correspondence only to find that she never updated my correct phone number in the system and the glasses I selected could not be made with my prescription. They called the wrong number and told a stranger my order was placed on hold. Needless to say I asked for a refund and will never go there again. Thing is, I reconfirmed the information was right prior to leaving. She had the right phone number.... Now it's too late to get a pair of glasses for my fishing trip. read more

It was a sad day realizing i needed to get vision checked. I was able to make a same day appointment online. As soon as I walked in, I was welcomed. The front reception was warm, Dr Levy was very personable and informative. Pryncess assisted me with picking out frames which I dreaded. With her style, I knew I was in good hands! Visit 1: exam and order Visit 2: pick up Visit 3: reexamination for wrong Rx and given a specific date and time to pick up. Visit 4: (specified date and time of pick up along w 3 kids) Am informed that they will not be done until the following day. No explanation, apologies, recourse or action offered. Upon my insistence that the new pair be overnighted they say "I will have to check". Called a customer service dept to further deal w situation and insist on overnight shipping of my glasses. Customer service rep was very condescending and indifferent. No one at this place is proactive from my experience w them. If something goes wrong on their end to inconvenience their customers it is not actively and swiftly dealt with. Classic runaround and "manager has left for the day/lab is currently closed". P.S.: glasses were said to be done by a Saturday with some nebulous timeframe. They said they would have to wait until Monday which pushes to tues delivery. Followed up on Tuesday as I have not received them yet (by which time they KNOW who it is without even asking). They give me a tracking number which I go to and see they have just THEN decided to send the glasses out. Thanks to UPS, it was a quick delivery after they were out of the hands of VisionWorks. Horrible experience! I had a 10:30 appointment which should have been the third 15 appointment of the day since they open at 10:00. At 11:15 I was told the doctor was behind schedule. At that point another woman I hadn't noticed said that she was still waiting for her 10:15 appointment. Another lady I talked to in the waiting area said that this was her third trip in because they had messed up her order. She was told it would take an hour to switch out the bad lens for the correct on. She was also told that since she had old eyes she should not expect clear vision with her glasses...seriously? I shopped around a bit before purchasing these lenses. Online is of course cheapest but for some reason the rx wasn't right and I was getting headaches. Costco has better prices, but the frames aren't as appealing. Although vision works was expensive and they probably upsold me on a type of lens I don't need, am very happy with the lenses. Additionally, I recently sat on my glasses and bent them a bit. I didn't purchase the insurance in the past, but one of the employees Katherine dod her best to bend the frames, and they are back to being comfortable and wearable. In addition I was offered 25% off replacement frames if needed. Very good customer service. read more

Trying to use this location as been the worst experience. When I called to schedule an appointment, the staff didn't know when the doctor would be in the office. They promised to call back but three days went by before I called again. They still didn't know the doctor's schedule. Then a week later they called and said I had missed an appointment, which I never made. Today I went in for my 10:30 a.m. appointment. There were about a dozen people in the office. Four people were in line to check in at reception and there were 7 people waiting in the waiting room. The doctor was running over a hour behind, so having an appointment really meant nothing. I canceled and walked out. Don't bother going to this location unless you have a lot of time to spare. Who knows what the actual exam would be like? This place is a joke!!! When i first walked in, its just people everywhere, looks like complete chaos. There isn't a very clear reception desk, no obvious place you are supposed to go upon arrival. Even when you do finally find the desk, everyone there ignores you. When I finally got someone to pay attention to me, they were rude, and not helpful in the slightest. They tell you to go wait in the waiting room...which is down a hall and around a corner, but how am I supposed to know that?? I had to ask two people! and they both just point and say "down there"...ok the bathroom is down a hallway which appears to double as a storage closet, and the bathroom itself wasn't much better. Graffiti on the mirror, stains all over the floors, and a half a roll of TP, sitting on the floor. The selection of frames there is awful too. Everything is cheap looking and generic, with the exception of 3 towers. I did not buy my glasses there, and I will not be returning there for another exam. read more

I purchased a pair of glasses from Visionworks and after picking them up, I complained about my right lens was out of focus. So I returned to have the doctor reexamine my eyes again and she told me that my prescription had changed slightly from my old glasses and what she prescribed was the correct prescription. She told me to wear the glasses so that my eyes can adjust to the new prescription. After several weeks I went back to complain about the focus in my right eye. The clerk behind the desk told me that my glasses needed an adjustment and that they would be fine. She repeated what the doctor had said about wearing the glasses so that my eyes would get adjusted. Months later, I had an examination done by my regular ophthalmologist and made him aware that my right eye with my glasses on was not clearly focused. Following the examination he concluded that the problem is a result of the prescription in the lens and suggested that I return them to Visionwork. I immediately returned to Visionworks and explained to the clerk what my doctor had said. She then scheduled me for an appointment five days later to get examined by another doctor (other then the one who examined me on my first visit). When I arrived for my appointment I was told by another clerk that i would be charge for the exam. I was not willing to pay this company for a mistake that I had brought to there attention months ago. So therefore, i kindly told them that I will not purchase anything from there store ever again and left the building. read more

I made my appt this time last year and they sent me a confirmation email to confirm and remind me of my appt as well as my daughters appt. The email stated unless you need to reschedule we will see you then. Upon arrival after taking my daughter out of school early I was told that because I didn't call to confirm my appt we no longer had an appt. I was totally taken back and the lady that checked us in was very abrupt and her customer service skills lacked tremendously. I asked her what was the reason then for me making my appt a year ago to only have it taken away. My money spends elsewhere !! She said she could fit me in shortly and my daughter a few hours later. I told her that was unacceptable as I took her from school and she had to return. Now we are waiting in a room full of others to be seen. This will be my last visit here EVER!! This was, by far, the worst eyeglass purchasing experience I have ever had! I would not go back, even if they were giving them away free. The only reason I use them is because the vision insurance I have through my job doesn't have the best coverage. There are never enough employees working to handle their heavy foot traffic, so the wait times are horrendous. There are not very many name brands to choose from, so I'd say at least half of their frame selection is generic label. Also, they actually give customers the display sample frames rather than a new pair fresh out of a box. I've met one nice employee, but the rest have been either snobby, stressed out, or visibly annoyed. 1st visit: I purchased glasses on July 5th using my vision insurance. My glasses were ready within an hour. However, when I went back to pick them up, no one was available to adjust them for me. I had to go back another time for that. 2nd visit: Within a few days, I noticed some small nicks and scratches on the frame and the right temple piece creaked and popped whenever I put them on. I took them back to Visionworks and was told that their standard practice is to sell the sample frames rather than new ones (and that's why they were beat up looking). The manager told me her daughter works at another location, and that she would stop by to get a brand new pair of identical frames and replace them at no charge to me. That sounded great. A month passed and I never heard back from her. 3rd visit: About 7 weeks after purchasing my glasses, I noticed what I thought was a smudge on the left lens. When I wiped it with a pre-moistened lens cloth, the spot got larger. I realized it wasn't a smudge, but that the anti-glare surface was actually peeling off. So, I went back a 3rd time. The lady who books appointments looked at my glasses and told me in a frustrated tone they are just dirty. She huffed at me and told me she was busy, but she would come clean them for me as soon as she was available. When she finally started cleaning the "smudge," it got bigger and bigger and she said, "Oh, yeah it's peeling off..." She asked me what I use to clean them. I told her I use Bausch and Lomb pre-moistened lens wipes. She said that's not the brand they recommend and that it was my fault for using "harsh chemicals." She got the manager, who agreed to let me buy the extended warranty and use it for the lens, which was "only" $40. So, I spent $40 to have a faulty lens replaced. I also purchased their "cleaning kit" because it has magical powers and won't ruin their amazing lenses. Unbelievable. In the past, I have purchased glasses from Lens Crafters, Walmart, Sears and even Sam's Club and I have never had an experience even close to the same level of terrible as this. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for glasses. read more

Worst experience ever!i have dealt with vision works in Annapolis for years. Never had any problems. This particular store in white marsh, has messed my prescription up 3 times, my husband 3 times. I went to Annapolis ,drove 38 miles,to get better care. White marsh faxed wrong prescription to them. Couldn't believe. Tried several times to get help from gm at store. Never returned calls. Called integrity line,still can't get help. Never, never, shop there again. Or recommend them. read more

I only come here because I found a really good optometrist, but the customer service is very poor. I found out my appt was cancelled on Friday as a result of the snow when I was already on the way. I had made the appt w the same optometrist I've been seeing for a few years now. I was rescheduled for today at 6:30pm, right after she leaves. My wife and I entered the store to a friendly greeting and were encouraged to ask for more help after the associate directed us to the male frames. Once we had picked out some frame options we sat down with Enrique who helped narrow down our initial choices. He was able to explain why he chose the frames he did and what special options existed. Most surprisingly, he explained how by using my insurance and a buy one get one 50% off I would actually pay less for the frames and lenses I wanted by purchasing two pairs of glasses. Sounds like a scam, right? No, he broke down exact prices and showed that the special made the most sense and I got two pairs of glasses and saved almost $20 off what I would have paid for the primary pair I was trying to purchase. He was knowledgeable and patient and made the whole experience better with his friendly, winning attitude. He made the mundane and often frustrating task of purchasing glasses into a fun experience where I ended up with two pairs of glasses for less money than I would of spent without his expertise. I called over Baltimore on a Friday afternoon...my friend had brain surgery and had lost his glasses, so he was wearing contacts in the hospital, while he healed. We had a prescription, I called at LEAST 5 businesses who unequivocally said NO. Most of these were local Lens Crafters who can all go straight to hell. Gina at Visionworks didn't even skip a beat. Asked for the script and called all the other local locations till she found a lens. Took a long time, but she persisted and kept checkin in with me, on hold, to let me know she was still there. She got it UPS'd over and by Saturday afternoon, my friend had not one, but two, new pairs of glasses. Lens crafters claimed they couldn't help us because they needed to measure his face.. I even offered to sign a waiver and they uniformly flat out refused. Visionworks reignited my faith that even a large corp can be a friendly face with the right staff. read more

I would not recommend this to anyone! I originally went here about a month ago to get my eyes checked because I thought I needed glasses. During the exam, the doctor kept telling me that I could read lines that were very blurry for me. He then kept saying "20/20" throughout the exam. At the end of the exam he said "ok, time to pick out frames!" I was very confused and he wouldn't explain anything so I had to ask the girl at the front desk. While I was there I asked if I could order contacts as well and was told no because they need to see if this prescription is correct and I could come back in at anytime and order them. About a month later I stopped back in with my prescription to order them. I was then told that a contact prescription is different than a glasses prescription and I would need another appointment and no one could see me then. So this of course meant more money for another office visit. I was annoyed but made the appointment anyway for a week later. The appointment happened to be scheduled in the middle of a blizzard so I couldn't go. I called later on that week to reschedule. I was put on hold for 20 minutes and no one ever came back on the phone. I called back and was put on hold again. I finally got to talk to someone and made an appointment for yesterday. When I went in, I was told that there was no record of my appointment and they couldn't see me until much later. I told the girl how disgusted I was and she was very unapologetic, even when I told her I was going somewhere else. Please save yourself the headache and don't go here! read more
